  1. As if there wasn't enough crap on the market already.
  2. Such a great idea. Not just highlights of the games themselves, but information from the creation of the games and the inner workings of the companies making the games. Great videos!
  3. Bad news for those wanting to sell their NES Classics for $400 on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Offerup, EBay etc...
  4. For Atari's birthday, I got out my NES and laughed at the bad choices Atari made.
  5. As has been said already, $1 per cart is a good deal. If any of these games help fill in a collection for you, even better. Instead of worrying about it being a good deal to others, just ask yourself if it's a good deal for you and if you think $1 a cart is a good purchase.
  6. I blame Atari for not making the 2600 forward compatible. Lets boycott them!
  7. Maybe the AtariBox is just a rebranded Retroblox?
  8. Either Pong, Sea Wolf, or Tombstone. Sometime around 75 or 76 at the guest house on Ft. Lewis, Washington. I was 8.
  9. So it's the long-awaited Atari 10400?
  10. They should work with Nintendo and make a handheld system together. The "Playboy"...think about the marketing!
  11. So suddenly my Strawberry Shortcake game collection seems cool!

    Game Idea

    I think you're the first.
  13. Looks interesting. I'm gonna check this out over the weekend. Thanks.
  14. CoCo and Dreamcast come to mind. While there are emulators out there for both, they aren't very good or haven't been worked on for years.
  15. It's too bad that you have to buy CE's these days to get goodies packed in with the games. BITD, I used to love opening up Ultima games because I knew it would be filled with interesting things, as were the Infocom games. Great video as usual.
  16. Any of the Bart Simpson games on the NES. Terrible controls and collision detection.
  17. The Sears in my tiny hometown had DK for the 2600 playing in a demo machine. I went there with a group of friends the day it appeared and there were about 20 of us there taking turns with the game. I never had a problem with the graphics, and to this day think that Coleco did a good enough job with the game. Having the elevator level in the game would have made it the best game on the system. I don't think that Coleco gave 100% to the project, but I also don't think they made it a bad game for some ulterior purpose. They knew that a good game sells systems, but also knew that good games sell games.
  18. BITD, there were very few games that made me rage quit. The games that got me pissed off were racers and sports games with rubberband AI. With current games, I don't rage quit...I boredom quit. While lengths and content of modern games have grown, they have become less engaging. Sure, there are quite a few gems in the past few years, but there's also a glut of crap.
  19. I only buy digital when there's no physical media option for the game. While there are methods to archiving and storing a downloaded game, I want a guarantee that it will be downloadable indefinitely.
  20. The Chuck E Cheese we had in town back in '83/'84 sold beer as well. They had one room dedicated to sports TV, and they had a good selection of beers on tap.
