  2. I went back to Japan last month and visited Akihabara in Tokyo. While there I picked up a bunch of MSX computers (need some power supplies) and also some games. Some of the games I don't need so I'd like to sell them. Here are my eBay listings... (BTW, I tested each game to make sure they work.) Championship Soccer ( Futbol / Football ) by Pony Canyon - MSX Game Mini Golf - MSX Game Twin Bee (Twinbee) - MSX Game (Japan) (I have two copies) Pac-Man - MSX Game Konami Soccer ( Futbol / Football ) - MSX Game MSX Baseball - MSX Game Color Midway - MSX Game Exciting Baseball - MSX Game Dig Dug - MSX Game Thank you so much, Carlos Color Computer Store
  3. ATARI TO PYUTA CONVERTER http://www.geocities.jp/parallel_computer_inc/cart.html Misnamed Google translate title. More of a development cartridge.
  4. I wasn't able to find a Facebook group for Mattel Aquarius users. Surely there must be fans for an 80s computer with a 70s design? I'd like to learn more about them so please join me in this group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1816932675303748 Cheers Carlos
  5. I was thinking possible based on the achievement with the hardware board that allows MSX games to be playable on the TI. Need to find a link to the board. Need to check some Japanese websites for such projects.
  6. ColorForth for Color Computer or try the Juniper 8bit which used Forth rather than Basic. Carlos
  7. I recommend a TRS80 Color Computer. * Power supplies are built in and are very stable, you'll need to often buy power supplies for Atari, TI or C64. C64 PS can go bad and take your entire system with it * The Extended Basic is very good and Basic manuals are excellent * Active hardware development of new stuff tht is reasonably priced * Most 80s games have ports...yes, Graphics not as good as C64 and Atari. ditto for sound...But conversions gameplay are solid * Features the best 8bit cpu sold, 6809 * Easy to expand and tinker with * Units on ebay almost always have working keyboards (looking at you Mitsumi TI keyboards) * Have you seen Donkey Kong for CoCo 3? Cheers Carlos
  8. Scooter83, I have two games for it.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/263103887498 http://www.ebay.com/itm/263103896439 Machine... http://www.ebay.com/itm/263103932830 The games from Japan are often sold $100. No fun! There are Japanese magazines with type in games as an option. Think TI type in games wouldn't be hard to convert either. I was thinking.... if I were to keep the machine, I would work on an adapter to allow it to play TI and MSX games. Also make an adapter to use Genesis joysticks. Cheers Carlos
  9. Old thread but in case someone is looking for a Tomy Tutor, I have working and clean one for sale along with two games... http://www.ebay.com/itm/263103932830 The Tutor is a cousin and distant cousin of the TI99/4A and MSX, respectfully. Carlos
  10. Had a great time in Akihabara, Tokyo recently and decided to pick up some MSX and Bandai WonderSwan stuff. I have another thread related to the MSX games. 11. Sorry, I am new. I thought this was a sub-forum to sell retro games. Thanks. MODs, can you PM to clarify? Cheers.
  12. Ah, 6800...that's right! I recommend everyone read the story of the young black engineer who built it. Amazing story.

  14. Oh that would be interesting! Maybe NEC PC6600 games too as they used a 6847 as well, though different CPU.
  15. But John, can you explain the difference of ML and Assembly? And can you explain it in Japanese? he he

  17. The CoCo BASIC was rather nice and the 6809 cpu was a great microprocessor for learning assembly language. Older CoCo 1 and 2 games are plentiful though used 4 colors so not as eye pleasing as C64 and Atari games. Sound was also not as good. But in general, the arcade conversions were nice. There are many active users still. What I like is how they release schematics etc for free where other platforms everyone wants $$$ for their work. Had CoCo 3 been released sooner, who knows. Nice machine. Get SD card interface, Atari joystick interface and join Facebook group. Carlos
  18. Hello, coming over to Aquarius from other platforms. Just bought one with mini expander and I had some questions. 1) Is it possible to buy a 4K RAM park, take it apart, and replace the RAM IC with a larger size to get a 16/32K upgrade? 2) Haven't come across any internal RAM MODs. Anyone try? 3) Other than the Composite MOD, any other MODs to check out? Think I saw an external keyboard MOD someplace. 4) Can you connect the MODEM to a modern computer over serial to transfer files? Or are we stuck with just the tape interface? 5) Link for making a tape interface cable available? Any other tips? Thanks, Carlos
