  1. The darn thing eats batteries though! I've gone through $8 worth in the couple of days that I've had it!
  2. Raccoon Lad thanks for the information I bought the Game Gear this weekend and a couple of games for it. I am pretty impressed by it! Rhindle The Red thanks for that information also That was another question I had in the back of my mind. This board is great My question are answered so quickly!
  3. Yes, it is really cool. I considered bidding but I'll bet shipping to the USA is very costly!
  4. Web Page For Cart Commander
  5. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Warning it is an eBay auction! eBay auction for Atari 2600 Multi-Cartridge Display Unit ?? Is it some kind of Parker Bros store display? Whatever it is it sure is cool
  6. Cart Commander is a good database type program for classic game collectors. Its like shareware except that you send some carts to the author instead of money if you decide to use it.
  7. It sounds great! You are going to a lot of trouble for this, I hope you are getting some enjoyment out of it
  8. Thanks for the information. Well, I already own one and I would not buy one just to "pirate" games. However, even if I would use it to play games I don't own, is that any different then a (S. Kelly)multicart or a CuttleCart? Both of these allow you to play games you do not rightfully "own". I generally only play games I own an actual copy of, but, I would like to try out some rarer games such as Chase the ChuckWagon or Pepsi Invaders. I could never afford to buy either of these, so, playing them on my VCS via my Super Charger is my only option. That is, of course, if they would work correctly.
  9. I think that the ones you see on eBay(Power Player?) for $20 to $30 or so contain NES games. I have one and it works pretty good. They are cheaply made but if you don't abuse them they last. I believe TV Boys contain the VCS games but the NTSC version is somewhat rare and sells for quite a bit of money on eBay.
  10. Well this is all very disappointing information. I was looking forward to this very much. I guess there is no reason to locate one now
  11. I should have added that the above two examples are to me probably not worth what I would need to pay to get them. I don't really collect, I just mostly buy games to play them
  12. I would like a CuttleCart, unfortunately, I can't fit the cost into my budget. I mostly want to try out the rarer games(and hacks) I could never afford on a real VCS.
  13. Does any one have a list of what game roms will work on an unmodified Super Charger? I don't have the necessary skills to mod one myself. Will any of these new hacks work? I would love to try some of them out on my VCS.
  14. Yes, that would be great if Ken would comment
  15. I sure hope the defective one you got is an isolated incident. I have been pretty excited about this product since AtariAge first posted the news about it. If anyone else has received one, please post here to tell us about how yours works
  16. I see that Sega Game Gear core system is being sold again for $29.99 and some games for $14.99. Is the fun you can have with Sega Game Gear worth this? I have never played it, so, I have no idea if it is any fun to play. Any comments, suggestions, or advice would be greatly appreciated. THANKS
  17. I would love to have a VCSp, but, unfortunately it is cost prohibitive. I guess I could skip paying rent for a month or two. Of course, I wouldn't have a place to live Hopefully, someone will be able to answer Matthew Vigor's questions from above. [ 10-25-2001: Message edited by: CosmicJoke ]
  18. Has anyone seen this in stores yet? I emailed the company producing this a while back and was informed that it would be in stores at the end of October. $19.99 for 10 Activision games and the ease of A/V input seems well worth the cost(only $2 a game). I hope this sells well enough to warrent additional versions, perhaps, some sort of paddle version to play paddle games(KaBoom)? Do you think this would be possible? Did Activision even make enough games that used paddles to justify a special version of this product? Sorry to ask so many questions, but, I am excited by this product and wish to stir up a discussion. Any ideas or comments?
  19. Hi, all! This is my first post. I would like to start off by offering some info. I have discovered that you can hook your VCS(without using that darn switch box)directly into your cable input on your TV if you plug the audio/video cable of your VCS into an adapter you can buy at Radio Shack. Video/Rf Adapter(Radio Shack Cat. # 278-255B) it adapts phono plug to fit "F" type jack(coaxial). It's less then $3. So, plug the a/v cable(of your VCS) into the phono plug end and then plug the other end into cable input of your TV. This really works well! After years of using those crummy switch boxes with their static and signal loss, I finally get to play with a perfect, clear picture!!! Woo Hoo!! The only draw back is I have to unplug my cable to plug in the VCS and then vice versa when I want to watch cable. I hope this is information that someone here can use. I don't think I have seen this anywhere else, but, if I am just repeating info that is common knowledge please forgive me.
