works fine here. Using IE6. Will send you a pm in about an hour or so... -
That's pretty impressive. I obviously need to play around with it more. I didn't realize it was THAT customizable. While researching MAME I saw a lot of different menus and thought that I would one if I wanted it to look good. The example you showed me is definitely good enough. There was one menu that I was looking at that creates a 3-D arcade. You "walk up" to the machine you want to play in the arcade and then the ROM starts. Overkill, but impressive.

I know, I know... me again... but now that I have really started discovering MAME, I'm like an 8 year old on Christmas Eve. It's a whole new fun world. I was just wondering what other people have found to be a good menu for mame32. If you could let me know the links too, I would like to try them out. Thanks to everyone who has responded to the other questions I have asked. Everyone has been really helpful.

That's great news. I guess the biggest cost will be the joystick. Thanks again for all the help.

thanks for everyone's help. I have had the system for a while now (about a year) and have been cleaning it up whenever I have a chance. Just got a new monitor actually. No more burn in I will put up a picture if I ever get the side art. I'm starting a MAME system for myself and think that may take up most of my time. Thanks again.

Yeah, I was definitely going to use S-video. What about the computer. How cheap can I get here w/o experiencing any slow down?

I too, like the rest of the world it seems, am planning on building a mame machine. Just for classic arcade games. (Nothing after 1988) Right now, I am running MAME beautifully on my computer which is a 2.3 ghz machine. Can I use my older machine which is like a P2 or P3 tops and I believe 800 mhz. If I throw in 128 for RAM and a good sized hard drive would I be able to pull it off ? I know a video card would be cheap because it doesn't take much there, but for my last question, how does it look on a TV instead of a monitor? I can afford a much bigger TV screen than I can a computer monitor screen, but how bad will it look? Thanks for you help with this MAME newbie !

If they stacked nicely, I don't think we'd even have this thread. The games themselves are great. I loved: Baseball Armor Ambush Lock N Chase Bump N Jump Frog's and Flies Masters of the Universe and although many people may disagree, I loved burger time.

Thanks for the info. I thought it would be more work than just popping it in.

auction for tips on how to avoid being ripped off!?!?!

The document probably says, "Don't buy stuff like this... sucker!" -
I was wondering if you could use the word adventure in the title if it were part of a sentence. I mean, you can't copywrite a common word, right? Like: "Another adventure" "The continuing adventure of block man" "Yellow Square has an adventure" "The adventure where you find a glowing cup, avoid a bunch of dragons, and return it to a castle." (tough to fit on a label...) Maybe AtarAge can sponsor a contest for the best name? It would get more interest in the game (like it needs it...) and it would be fun.

I'm sort of new to MAME, but learning quickly Is there are ROM for those games that runs under MAME32

Thanks for the update. I wrote a previous thread about the games I am most excited for are Halo 2 and your game. I think that what Halo 2 means for Xbox, your game is the equivelant for the 5200. I have been blown away by the screenshots, but have not been lucky enough to play the demo yet. Thanks for putting the time into this !

Just a simple question... Without bashing Infogrames, France, or any sort of religious group... Is this game still due to come out before Christmas? The website hasn't been updated since September and I am really looking forward to the game. Last I heard there was a demo of it at the last show. Any new news?

I would say a jr. or a 4 switch. A lot of red labels and some various other carts. don't fit in my 6 switch as nicely. Although emulators are great and serve their purpose, nothing beats playing with the real thing. I have a 7800 and a 2600 hooked up but never play my 2600 carts on the 7800... not really sure why... just love the 2600.

It is not Combat. It's probably Air Raid..... EVERYTHING is Air Raid !

If the Air Raid Situation happened to you What would you do?
Red 5 replied to kidsconnection's topic in Atari 2600
I can't believe that a company that made only one game, in a very limited number, would bother making an NTSC version and a PAL version. What I am saying is, I would be very amazed to find out that there was more than one version of this game. This is Air Raid. You gave him what he purchased. You asked "What would you do?" If it were me, I would call his bluff. I would also seek out (as cheap as possible) a lawyer to get a proffesional opinion,. -
Nice pictures. I'm so glad you got the cart back in good shape. What a story!
