  1. I agree with Nova. There are lots of places you can get the real thing for under $50 with those games. (minus sabateur) And as people have stated before, hasn't this been done to death? http://www.jakkstvgames.com/atari.html And for more than half the price? You can buy the Atari Joystick with 10 games from Jakks and the Activision joystick from Jakks and have just as many games and an extra $10 in your pocket.
  2. Thanks ! I will definitely stop there.
  3. Heading to Ocean City Maryland for a little end of summer vacation. Does anyone know of any thrift stores or anyplace that may have some Atari items down there ?
  4. Welcome ! If movies count, there are plenty. Aliens, ET, Porky's, Gremlins, Star Wars, etc. Not directly related to products, but close enough.
  5. I have plugged my supercharger into the headphone jacks of cd-walkmen, cassette walkmen, and boom boxes and it has always fit without any issues at all. Are you sure you're plugging it into a headphone jack and not a microphone jack ? Remember you want the audio going out, not in.
  6. Put this in the marketplace http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=56831 but was hoping it may get some more exposure here in the 5200 forum.

    Braile Invaders

    Translation is: space ivadbls
  9. I played Spike's Peak for about 30 minutes before deciding that Spike is an a-hole, and I don't care about his friggin' Peak ! I could never make it past the first screen. (Is there another screen?) You deserve to be honored in the Xonox hall of fame for your patience.

    Habitat for H-Atari

Just a warning. These are okay for a starter house, but once you have kids running around, you're gonna wish you got the six switch !
  11. Love Doom, but if Halo 2 is anything like the first one it stands a much better chance of being my favorite. The only one that has a chance of beating it ? Half Life 2. The movies from E3 blew me away. And while Halo is a close 2nd, Half Life was my favorite FPS ever.
  12. Instead of playing with random people, try to join up with a group. We have 4 people who have been playing together since the beginning. We are always looking for 2 more, but we rarely play with random people anymore as we usually play within our group. Right now (if you are interested) we are playing: Ghost Recon Island Thunder Rainbow Six 2 ESPN Football Sometimes Crimson Skies Just think though... soon Halo 2 will be new to everyone !
  13. Ghost Manor is an underrated game IMHO. However, NEVER FLIP THAT CART OVER ! (unless you want to be frustrated out of your skull.)
  14. The NES on the bottom right looks to be the same goofy paint job as he used on the Atari. Unless that is one of those NES systems from the same "contest" the atari was won in. Nice job catching him. Your like the Encyclopedia Brown of AtariAge.
  15. It has that lode runner / miner 2049er feel to it too. (If I remember right) It had DK elements but was more of a puzzle game as well. As the levels went on, the puzzles of how to get to the top got tougher. I remember loving the sound effects and the grapling hook was very fun and a unique idea. If I remember right, you had to get all the gifts and the piles of gold before moving on. And that nest back in the background reminds me that there may have been a bird that attacks? If anyone knows of where I can get a copy of this... or knows where I can get a TI99 emulator, that would be great.
  16. THAT'S IT ! ! ! ! ! God I loved that game. Something tells me I may never find a copy of it. Good reason to add a TI to my console collection. That was my first computer. I was an 11 year old pro at BASIC and would make text adventures for my younger brother all the time. (Loaded by cassette tape of course...) That was my only game for the system, but it blew the graphics of my 2600 away, so I played it non-stop. Thanks to everyone who helped out.
  17. I thought this game was great. Played it on the Xbox and was really impressed. It was definitely a sleeper. Although it could get frustrating at times, all in all it was a great Zelda-esque adventure. If there was a sequel, I'd probably go for it.
  18. 16,340 Frog guts all over those last two lanes of highway. I also hate the first home base on the left. I swear that those 2 places are the only place I die. (Unless I forget about that damn snake !)
