Shoot me directions! LOL
I'd still love to make these.
I keep fogetting. I've owed you those for like a year now. I will send them... this is my solemn vow!
If you do go with cart holders that were on the market back in the day, make sure you have a complete bottom to the shelf. Slots work nice until you try to put in an M-Network cart. Or forget it if you are just stacking.

I looked forever, until I finally gave in and made my own.

I do like the picture labels a whole lot. Sears text labels are incredibly boring to collect though. Cannon Man was fun because it is rare and interesting to hunt for, but the rest are super blah.
I love the Gunslinger label and Poker Plus and Black Jack are interesting and 70's sexy.
Baseball and Basektball were a pain to find too but cool pics.
What sucked though was collecting the non-unique picture labels. Not very fun scouring ebay auctions for the minor variation in the label on games llike night driver, missile command, demons to diamonds, adventure, berzerk, etc.
The hardest by far to get in the last few years was Gunslinger, Basketball Pics and Cannon Man.

Are those 72dpi scans of Polaroid pictures?
Congrats, wait until cincynoti corrects you. I bet he can.

I was lazy. Used the iphone with no light. It helps show my hatred of Sears labels though. (Although the Gunslinger label is so very sexy.) I will put Cincynoti on on ignore until this thread dies.
(Unless I find a Superman pic label in the next few days. There are always Tag Sales tomorrow. The dream lives on.) -
Finally. Cart #573 in the old 2600 collection would be Sears Night Driver Picture Label which completes the Sears labels. Stupid Sears. I hate you Sears labels. I hate you with a passion.
I also refuse to believe in the Superman Picture label. (Yes, I know it really exists, I just refuse to believe it does for my own sanity. Kind of like how I finished my Imagic labels because I don't believe in Atlantis 2.
Also, the first person to say the "b" word gets my shoe in their ass. (I do have lots of Sears boxes, but nowhere near all of them. Leave me alone.
Anyway, who are we kidding, as collectors it's fun to scream "Look at me!" I haven't got to do it in a while, so LOOK AT ME ! ! !
The pretty picture labels:
And the obligatory picture of the ugle text carts:
So here's a great big F YOU to Sears. I hate you and I am done with you. Harrass me no longer !

I am never leaving home again.
Can you guys please stop doing all the really fun and cool stuff when I'm away?
Damn you all! I may be at the bottom of the waiting list, but at least I am on the waiting list... but I am not a patient man.

Wow.
This is why I love collecting Atari. Now I just have to collect this! PLEASE make more carts. Pretty pretty please!

I think it's brilliant. Every now and then, someone realizes that a video game can be art. Mario is a puking of bright colors designed to please the masses. I understand that some people like "The Master of Light" guy and go to those mall stores to look at the purdy pictures and think it's amazing art. Some people think dead people like Bogart and James Dean sitting in a diner is brilliant. Others will go to a museum and look at Picasso and Dali and see a different deeper kind of art and beauty that requires taking a lot more in to appreciate it. Both are fine. To each their own. I love games that try to be different and artistic.
Give me games like Braid, Limbo, Ico, Shadow of the Collossus, and Okami any day over Mario Rainbow Mushroom Stomp.
Played it last night. I can't wait to play it again.

$7.00 for Frogger? Really? Really?
If you are going by a guide, I think you may have been looking at the price for games CIB. And even then, about 80% of the prices would be too high.

An Atari cart in a box, that runs on my 2600 with a USB connection so I can also play on a computer?
Ummm... that would be a yes for me. Atari is my Pokemon. Gotta get 'em all.
I think it is a really cool idea. If you need a beta tester, count me in. I will play the hell out of these on my 2600 and on the computer. It would be very cool to bring these to work and let people plug them in and play and maybe hook some more people into Atari collecting.
Also, in my opinion, anything that brings attention to Atari is okay by me. If they do sell to people out of nostalgia sake or just out of curiosity, it helps the hobby.
I think this is great Curt. Count me in.

Just need one more Sears title. If you have a Sears Picture Label Night Driver please let me know.
Loose is fine, boxed is sweller.

I put this in before Red Dead Redemption, because I knew once I started that one, I would be in for the long haul. I too was looking forward to Alan Wake, but was pretty disapointed at the onset. Chapter 2, I was finding it repetitive way too soon. Then I hit chapter 3 and the game started to find its groove. I am just starting chapter 4 and I admit the game has grown on me. The story saved the game and it is getting much more interesting. Although I am tired of all the crazed lumberjacks. Other than a few haunted items, are crazy lumberjacks all I have to look forward to as bad guys?
I do like the game a lot though. I am glad I stuck with it.

I'll take the Sears Basketball please!
-
Just one.
Williams Lucky Ace.
I want more though...
-
Tunnel Runner and Fathom ftw
-
GameFly shipped this today along with Alan Wake and Prince of Persia.
I am really excited about Red Dead. I am thinking it will be Game of the Year.
-
Red Dead got a 9.6 on IGN
Alan Wake 9.0
Nothing for Prince of Persia yet...
-
Alan Wake.... Must get very soon.
Red Dead..... Must get as soon as the price drops.
Prince of Persia... I paid $30 for the last one and still haven't played it.
Well, you shouldn't even bother with the last Prince of Persia... ever... It was fair at best. I loved Sands of Time though and this is the same style as that was with fun improvements. (Freeze a waterfall so you can climb it, etc.)
I will probably play Alan Wake first as it will probably be a short but fun romp. I know that once I start Red Dead I will be sucked in for 50 hours so I may have to throw that last in the pile.
(And then they are actually going to make me dust off the Wii for Mario Galaxy 2 in a couple of weeks. Stupid dumb Wii with no games ever... )
However, after that, it looks like it's going to be a looonngggg summer.

Does anyone here still buy new games?
in Microsoft Xbox 360
Posted
GameFly.
I used to buy new games. Then I realized that $240 for four games is crazy. $240 a year gets me three games out at a time for year on GameFly. I play more Xbox 360 now than I did before. I get new releases 2 to 3 days after they are released. I will never go back.
(I did buy Mario Galaxy for the Wii though because my son plays all the time.)
