  1. One down three to go! Lots more 360 games to add to the trade list.
  2. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ! ! ! Never leaving my computer again. CRAP!
  3. It's true, this should be in the Atari 2600 forum because it is easily as important as finding the Air Raid box and solving one of the biggest mysteries in Atari 2600 history. Just like the uniqueness of the Air Raid auction, I have never ever ever seen overpriced Atari items on Ebay before. (I saw it on craigslist once though, but I have no proof. Ah well.) This is a find that we should all be discussing and paying attention to. Ha ha ha ha ha. An overpriced auction for Atari stuff. I haven't found this news story for this auction on home page of CNN yet, but it's still early. The media just probably hasn't seen it yet. Get ready for this all important Atari 2600 find to GET CA-RAZY ! ! ! Sorry... couldn't resist... I'll be good now... I promise...
  4. Air Raid mania has set in! Lock up your daughters! I posted the fun youtube video of the auction on my facebook page and now I have a girl at work telling me she is sure she has a copy of it and is bringing it in to show me all her games tomorrow. You know I'm going to get an Asteroids, a combat, a Frogger missing the label and Pac Man, but what the hell, right? (Hey Al, did CNN have to tell yo uthey were using that picture?)
  5. And now the big time press gets the story... http://www.cnn.com/2010/LIVING/wayoflife/04/13/game.sells.for.thousands/index.html?hpt=C2 Atari on CNN = the awesomeness.
  6. Nice Jose. Congrats. I am thrilled that an AAer got it, and I am even happier it's you. When you open the museum I will be first in line. Finally, something to replace Yankeemania as the crown jewel of your collection.
  7. 31K ! ! ! ! ! WOW ! Great day for Atari! This should bring Atari some nice press!
  8. As a consolation prize, I am willing to sell my CIB Air Raiders for 1/10 of the final price of this auction.
  9. Will trade for Atari stuff or... These are the same seats I had last year. Second to last row, between home plate and third base. Tickets are $28 each ($56 for the pair) - This is season ticket face value + tax and whatever other crap they charge 5/3 7:05 PM vs Baltimore Orioles 5/20 7:05 PM vs Tampa Bay Rays 6/2 7:05 PM vs Baltimore Orioles 8/3 7:05 PM vs Toronto Blue Jays 9/1 7:05 PM vs Oakland A's 9/7 7:05 PM vs Baltimore Orioles
  10. Getting my popcorn ready to watch the end of this one tonight. It's the Superbowl of Atari collecting. We probably won't see anything like this again for a long long long long time. Truly one of the biggest Atari mysteries has been uncovered. Next up, let's uncover that landfill!
  11. Adding a GBA SP to the list with 7 games and instructions (pokemon, yoshi, mario, pacman, golden sun, harry potter, etc) , carrying case, charger, car charger, wireless adapter.

    Best Game?

The correct answer is Tunner Runner! (C'mon. It's the first time I said it all year! Cut me some slack...)
  13. It is therealred5 Work is making me... well... work. Stupid working. I still check in every day. Boxes are nice, but loose carts are swell too. And yes, I just need the pretty picture labels. Once I get these I finish my Sears collection. And like in Portal where there is no cake and in The Matrix where there is no spoon, I will continue to tell myself there is no Sears Superman Picture Label. (Or Atlantis 2, because if there was that mean my Imagic collection wouldn't be complete and I KNOW that can't be true..) Oh and now I have a 7800 system and a bunch of games for that as well. I also have a ton of 7800 loose boxes with no carts. I have a bunch of lynx stuff too. COME ON PEOPLE! HOOK MY AS UP !
  14. Bump I really do have a ton of good stuff for trading: C64 setup TI 99/4a setup Atari 800 setup with lots of games 7800 system and games lots of 2600 carts 360 game PS3 game NES Sega Genny PSP system and games Even Yankee tickets and good old cash!
  15. If you don't mind sharing Tanman, can you tell us how many people are watching this auction. I am just curious. It's funny to think that when this auction first started (before the box was included), I got all excited and posted when I mistakenly thought the receipt was included. Who would have thought it would turn into this?! I love this hobby.
  16. I just hope this hits the news media soon. It will be fun to get some attention for our little hobby and AtariAge too. This kind of thing is always great for the hobby, but this could be the biggest news that I can ever remember for Atari.
  17. I am standing and applauding. Nicely done !
  18. And if I may... With the overly serious people and frumpy grumpy people out there,( not to mention the psycho over reacting nutballs out there) I would be surprised if the "pranksters" would add this line to the auction: Special Thanks: I would like to give a big thank you to Albert at AtariAge.com. If you need any information on Atari, visit his site! Also, Robert S., thank you for all the guidance! I think this line would bring a heck of a lot of crap their way from those who wouldn't "get it". I don't think it would be worth the trouble. Now that it is on Ebay, it is being seen by a lot more people that just us AA folks.
  19. I am in the "it's real" camp but wouldn't be overly shocked or amazed if it was an April Fool's Day gag. If it is, I will give credit to whoever did it as doing a great job with the whole thing. That's a lot of work and planning. I would very impressed. I will also love all the posts from grumpy old men that get all pissy if it's a fake and forgot how to have fun. We got a bunch of those 'round here. But I still have my money on real. Of course I also believe the lanfill story is totally real so there you have it...
  20. What the sam hill is going on around here lately? (I just really wanted to use "sam hill" in a sentence, but man AtariAge is sure filling up with the whack-a-doos lately.) I have seen so many people smash or burn things to be funny on youtube and other sites just to get a rise out of people that is becoming quite old and cliche. Whoopdeedoo you burned $300.00 - $500.00 in the form of an Atari game. Neat. Thanks for making the game rarer and thus worth more to us collectors. Unless THIS is the April Fool's joke.
  21. When I was but a young noob round here back in the day, I saw this thread and never forgot it. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/48814-help-are-any-of-these-rare/page__hl__fake Just sayin'...
  22. Well how cool is this? If it's still real on April 2nd, it will be awesome to see if an Atari game can take over the top spot with the highest price game ever sold at auction. Vivat Atari! (Dear wishing fairy, please let this be fur realz!)
  23. Last Sears title I need is Night Driver Picture Label. Where is my hero? Basketball - pic Canyon Bomber - pic Night Driver - pic Pong Sports - pic I can pay in American Dollars but prefer to make with the trades. I have many a trade thing.
  24. I still love it for some reason. Perhaps because when you are 9 and you got a game for Atari, you just played the hell out of it no matter what. I thought the water flooding the floors behind you was cool and had that whole adrenaline rush effect desperately trying to get out of the sub. Also, few Atari games could be won (even if it was very short) and a victory screen was pretty rare at the time. Video games used to be like life, they it gets harder and faster until you die. Airlock was one of the exceptions to that rule. I actually hacked this game a while back (graphic hack) and made it Indiana Jones - ish. I am looking for it now. I posted it here somewhere a zillion years ago.
