Is there a list of what we get when we subscribe? Not that it isn't worth $30 a year just out of the pure enjoyment I get hangin' out around here. It's a nice way to give back, but the selfish side of me wants to know what's in the goodies bag. Just waiting on some PayPal funds to roll in and count me in for a year Subscription.

Buy Tunnel Runner and play with the sound up and the lights out. For two players Combat, Maze Craze, Super Challenge Baseball, and Warlords (even better with 4 players... but you need to sets of paddles)

I was fine with the whole play as much as you want afterwards ending. I was incredibly annoyed that the vault with massive treasuer I searched the whole game for had nothing in it but a fat blob that I killed and then was told to maybe stop by in 200 years or so. Give me my treasure dammit!

F ever buying anything from Gamestop.com/EBGames.com
Red 5 replied to Rev. Rob's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I agree. Unless GameStop has some kind of deal that beats everyone else (which is very rare) why EVER go there? I would rather deal with the clueless hot girl behind the register at BestBuy or Target than get the rolly eyed video game geek fanboy teenager at GameStop. Hell, Toys R Us is a better option than GameStop. Or even Walmart. GameStop has become irrelevant and I don't know the point of it at all. Only the dumbest of the dumb would 'trade in' games at GameStop when you could triple the price they are offering you, credit only, for cash on Ebay. Same for buying used games. You can do much better on Ebay buying used games. So I don't understand why GameStop even exists at this point. With GameFly, Ebay, BestBuy, Target, Walmart, ToysRUs, CTCW, etc. etc. etc., why would anyone go to an obvious joke or a ripoff like GameStop where pimple faced ultra nerd fanboy teens make you feel like a moron for not "pre-ordering" a game when there are 350 copies behind him. Me: "Can I get Halo Gears of War Solid 7" GameStop: "Did you pre order it" Me: "No." GameStop: (rolling eyes) "You should really pre order it." Me: "Why? Aren't there like 50 copies behind you? BestBuy has like 1,000 copies. So does Target, Toys R Us..." GameStop: (annoyed) "We have extra copies, but you are lucky." -
Worst .... ending ... ever.

Got the GameStop deal. Little Big Planet and God of War collection going up on Ebay later today to make back some $. Borrowed Uncharted from my friend to play, but Assassin's Creed 2 and Left for Dead 2 just showed up from Gamefly for my 360. I will be quite torn this evening for gaming...

GameStop (which I won't shop at for personal reasons) is offering God of War I & II (which has to be the God of War Collection with the God of War III demo) and Little Big Planet for FREE with a PS3 purchase at $299. Mendon Thanks for showing me this. A local GameStop in a strip mall is better than a Best Buy on Black Friday or a Mall for that matter. I think this deal might be better since I am just selling the games on Ebay anyway. Just want the system. 5.5 hours until I go! GameStop opens at 6am tomorrow. Hope I get one...

Is anyone going to be getting the New Super Mario Bros. Wii?
Red 5 replied to imac4567's topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
Just to let you know, this is not a port. It is a completely new game for the Wii. -
Agreed. You're freakin' nuts if you sell them off without giving them a chance. And on the 14th day God created GameFly and it was good. I get three games out at a time for $240 a year. That's the low low price of just 4 new games kiddies! I can play them... later... right now I am playing COD MW2, Assassin's Creed 2 and Borderlands. Up next is Left 4 Dead 2. (Those four games retail would = what I paid for my GameFly subscription for the entire year.) Playing 3 games at a time is enough for me.

Not "officially" a door buster sale. They say it's available Friday and Saturday. I don't plan on getting there too early. I will go, and if they have one, I will buy one. (Then immediately sell the games it comes with on Ebay...) No BC does suck. And I know there are only 3 or 4 exclusive games I give a crap about, but this is probably the best deal to get for a long time. If I get $40 a game, that means the price of the PS3 would be $219.99 and that seems too good to pass up. God of War 3 will push me over the edge anyway so I might as well get on board now. I have to admit that anything that is released for 360 and PS3 I will still get for the 360. I love the achievements too much. It was simply brilliant by the Xbox team. There is nothing more fun than playing a game and getting that little pop up saying you got some points. Don't know why.

Admited 360 fanboy. Bought it at launch and love the hell out of it. Bought Wii at launch too because I am a sucker for Zelda. I never had a reason to get a PS3, and I still don't think I do. I am interested in Uncharted I supposed, but God of War and any ICO, Shadow of the Colossus game will get me. Best Buy is selling the system for $299.99 and it comes with Little Big Planet and Ratchet and Clank. I sell those games immediately and probably knock another $80 off the price. That gets me to 229.99. Sounds like a deal to me!

Level 32. I think I am nearing the end.

Is anyone going to be getting the New Super Mario Bros. Wii?
Red 5 replied to imac4567's topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
I bought it just to justify having a Wii. Now there are 5 games worth playing on it. Whoop dee freakin' doo. (I'm jaded.... hugs 360...back to story...) My son and I play it. It is perfect for a 6 year old to play with his Dad. I get him through the tricky parts while he is in a bubble which is a brilliant option. It's a solid Mario game and a lot of fun. A step better than New Super Mario Bros. on the DS, which was also a great game. -

Do we know much about this? When it was released, where, who made it, etc. ? Count me in. -
Bunch of sissies! It's not a REAL Oblivion gate. It just looks like one. $45 shipped to the US?

Just taking up too much room. And it is very tall. I would say abour 5 feet. It is in good condition. There is a tab that is broken but it still sets up just fine. I can take more pics if there is any interest. I am interested in any 2600 5200 or 7800 Atari items I don't have but I am down to fairly rare stuff. Or make a $ offer. I like $ too. Also, unless you are picking this up, I will have to break it down to ship it. I did not get the instructions to put it together when the nice GameStop dude gave it to me so you will have to reassemble it on your own. It shouldn't be to hard. I figured it out just fine. Let me know.

Publicity for the hobby is always swell!

Agreed. It does upset me that this is okay in shows like 24, or movies, or music, etc., but a video games gets everyone's panties in a bunch. I was upset because I thought I would get an achievement for not killing any innocent bystanders, but then realized that the level could be skipped and it had to be skipped without penalizing anyone for not playing it. (Kill lots of chickens real fast for an achievement though. I was hoping for a Zelda like experience when killing the chickens, but it would have been silly and out of place. But how funny would that have been? The achievemnet was a nice surprise though.) My friend and I are having a lot of fun with the Secial Ops mission too. That was a nice bonus for those of us who don't want to get stuck playing on line with a bunch of 14 year olds in multiplayer. I rarely play a game through more than once. EVERY COD game gets at least another play through when I get it. This one is easily the best and I can't wait to do it again and I haven't even finished yet (I think I am on the last level).
-
Played through the game. On the big scary controversial level, I did what I would have realy done if put in that situation. I fired shots and missed every innocent. In the mayhem I assumed nobody would notice how many kills I got. They didn't. In the end, there was some armed resistance. I had to take out a few of them and felt guilty about it. On another note, the game is pure brilliance.

The game really grows on you. I'm addicted.

I have a proto of a game called "Greatest American Hero" that I am not ready to tell anyone about yet. I also have a proto of game called "That's Incredible" with some woman called Sarah Purcell on the label. Whoever that is. I don't know if that's rare or not though. Also, my Dad worked at Disney and his friend gave him a working copy of this 2600 game they were working on called The Black Hole after some old movie or something. Other than those three I don't have anything too nuts. Some Charlie Brown Kite game, a game with a Birthday Cake that says my name that my parents got for me for my 8th birthday and some game with Moses in it.

I have a loose Dreadnaught Factor for you. I rock like that. PM me...

Brand New Music Machine! Let the battle begin!
Red 5 replied to ninermaniac's topic in Auction Central
Honestly, if I had deep pockets and was the high bidder in this auction, I would open this game up. Yes, it would lose thousands of dollars of value or whatever, but I don't care. I went to a mechanic today who had a rather nice car collection in his showroom, and I asked if he ever drove any of the cars in his collection. "Why would I do that?" he asked incredulously. I like using the things I own, but different people find enjoyment in different things (such as shrinkwrap). I would keep it shrink wrapped and play the game on a Harmony Cart (or the Krok Kart, Cuttle Cart or emulator of your choice).
