  1. Make sure you have 4 full jars of the red juice from the witch. To hell with fairies, they may let you live but only refill three or four hearts. I think I did it on the 2nd try with 4 full jars of recovery juice. I can't beat the last boss on Prince of Persia 2 for xbox. I'm done. I hate it and I never want to even look at that boss battle again, never mind play it.
  2. mmmmmmmmmmm..........Whopper....................... (The games are smaller than they look then. And those are definitley burgers the mad bomber is dropping. Still cool though.)
  3. Thanks for the info ! (Just what I need.. an excuse to eat a Whopper... ) How big are they? From the pics on the BK link, they look pretty big.
  4. I don't have much to trade right now (Colecovision, NES, Genesis and Intellivision systems, and a bunch of common games for everything) but I would be willing to buy too. Basically, I want a Lynx system (I or II) and a few games. I was avoiding handhelds for a while, but I don't feel like I have all the Atari systems w/o a lynx, so someone help ! ! ! I was trying to stay in the $25 range, so if you don't want to trade, that's about what I have to offer. Thanks!
  5. 20 - 30 tag sales every Saturday in the Spring and Summer. 1 out of 10 has some sort of video game system and games for me to buy. About 1 out of 60 has Atari. Never give up. It's the one that has 50 carts and a heavy sixer for $10 that makes all the rest worth it. (Or a Guardian for $4 )
  6. Filtered out his username from my atari searches. It looks so much nicer now that I don't have to look at zillion dollar Zaxxons!
  7. I've noticed lately that a lot of his auctions say "new in box" followed by his little motto "used and 100% guaranteed" I am actually thinking of using his motto as a way to filter out his auctions when I search since they all have that line.
  8. Yeah, I was very upset about EA taking over the project. Hopefully it will be the last EA game I ever buy. It is worth it though.
  9. Just played Communist Mutants From Space for the first time last night. Very fast and fun game. I think it's definitely the fastest of all the 'space invader / phoenix / megamania' type games.
  10. When I first started playing, it wasn't that big of a deal (beyond the absolutely stunning graphics... probably the best I have seen on any system to date...) However, after 'settling in' and about 3 hours into the game, it has slowly made it into my top 10 Xbox games. The smooth transition between FPS and 3rd person at the click of a button, the hysterical dialogue of the 'clackers', the incredible environments to play in and the complete uniqueness of it all combine to make me a big fan of this game. If you are an Oddworld fan (as I have been) don't expect this to be ANYTHING like the previous games. It is a total re-do. It still has the Oddworld feel though, which is fun.
  11. Well that's just it... As a sniper, I hate the idea. I will probably never win anything again at a great price unless it's a newly listed BIN that I see before anyone else. As a seller though, I love it. I'm sure it will jack prices up and nothing will ever sell lower than the average price ever again.
  12. As a 'sniper' I hate to admit it, but that's a great idea.
  13. The Spa in Brookfield CT was where I played the most as a kid. As a teenager, Showcase Pizza had a great Arcade attached to Rollerland which was the local roller skating rink. That was in Danbury, CT. Here are two great arcades that are still around to this day... Lake Quassapaug (now simply known as 'Quassy') is an incredibly old amusement park. The rides are all easily 25 years old or older and the park hasn't changed since I was 3 (30 years ago). However ! The price of admission is well worth it just to go to the arcade which has many of the old great games. Probably about 100 games or so. But here is the most important part of this post... The greatest arcade on earth that is still in existence Is located in New Hampshire and is called "The Fun Spot" It must literally have every arcade game and pinball machine ever made and they are all still a quarter. Pop a quarter in and go nuts. Everyone who grew up in the 70's and 80's and put a quarter in an arcade game should make this a mandatory road trip. Directions: Transportation & Directions: By Automobile: In New Hampshire take Rt. I-93 to exit 23 then take Rt. 104 East to traffic light at end. You will be across from a McDonald's. Take a right on Rte. 3 South and follow for 2-1/2 to 3 miles. FUNSPOT will be on the left. You can't miss us! If you do get lost don't panic! Call us at 603-366-4377 and we'll help you find your way. 14. don't know how this posted three times. Sorry ! Can a mod please get rid of the other 2 ?
  15. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8163343102&rd=1 Why does this never happen to my auctions?
  16. If it happens you can count me in. Just tell me the time and I'm there !
  17. Stopped at CVS on the way home and found another $10 deal. I don't like the Jakks controllers so I didn't get one, but for those looking for these, $10 isn't bad at all. It was in the little 'toy' isle of my local CVS.
  18. My Mother actually works part time at a KB. I just called her and they have a bunch. I can see about getting them for people if you want to pay cost and shipping from cold ass Connecticut.
  19. Here's a story for you. I just finished my MAME cabinet and in it's previous life it was a Missile Command. It still has the Missile Command schematics sheet in it. It was converted one or two times and painted over at least twice. In it's final life in the public before coming to me it was, of all things, a trivia game called 'Phraze Craze'. Anyway, as a tribute to the cabinet, once I got it up and running, the first game I played, was Missile Command. Good karma I figure. I love Missile Command and always have. It's one of my favorites. It is a fast past action filled game that keeps you moving. I love the idea of the three silos. And while I played the game forever on the 2600 and loved it there as well, there is something about the three buttons for each silo that changes the whole strategy of the game. Great full arcade system to own. Congratulations on getting it up and running. Enjoy it !
  20. I'll try swapping chips over the weekend. Is the chip different in different models ? (i.e. 4 switch, vader, etc?) I don't know if I have a 6 switch. The RIOT chip is the topmost chip, right? Thanks for the suggestions.
  21. Definitely not pins. Looks like I'm doing surgery. The system actually fires repeatedly even with no joystick pushed in at all. What should I be looking for? A break in the connection? More importantly, is this too difficult to fix to be worth the time and effort?
  22. My six switch (not heavy sixer) seems to have a stuck fire button. No matter which joystick I use the fire button seems stuck down in the player one port. The same joysticks work fine in player two port so the problem appears to be with the system and not the sticks. Anyone have any suggestions?
  23. Sweet love of crap that's gotta hurt! That's a great collection. At least you should get a pretty penny for that though. You may want to take a few games out to sell seperately though. You will still probably make just as much on the whole auction, but you can probably make an extra $100 if you sell some carts in seperate auctions. Xenophobe and Room of Doom will probably bring in quite a bit, and even games like Pitfall II, Rampage. Bump and Jump, and Burger Time have been selling around the $15 mark if not higher. (There may be others, but those were the ones I saw in my quick look.) Just a suggestion, but you should do well either way. Good luck.
  24. I thought Spiderman 2 was one of the best comic book to videogames ever. I have it for the Xbox and have had it for quite a while. I still put it in and play. Not to actually play the game, but just to swing around the city. I know it sounds silly, but for the price, it's worth getting just to climb up the Chrysler building and leap off into the air. Falling is incredibly realistic and actually scares the crap out of you if you don't fire off a web and swing away from the ground at the last second. While the game does get repetitive if you solve crime after crime, they do add enought new moves as the game goes on that you can change the same scenarios around a bit. My favorite is hanging the bad guys from the street lights after a battle for the cops to find. There are other diversions from the main game, like about 100 different time challenges around the city as well as doing pizza delivery for cash or working for the paper taking photos. The game is totally free roaming and could be considered GTA Spiderman. Definitely worth the money. Especially if you like Spiderman.
