Christmas season and for some reason right after Christmas prices seem highest. It's pretty random though. I have seen a Frogger go for $20 in the middle of July for reasons I will never understand.

My favorite ever would have to be Skies of Arcadia for the DC. I believe it is out now for GC. I loved it. Ultima 3 I believe was the one I spent the most time with though on an old PC a loooong time ago. I have played a lot of RPG's and I have to say that the FF series never did anything for me.

It has since been dusted. Lots of sawdust from making that friggin' drawer.

Great story. My mother would drag me along shopping with her for groceries. Hated it until the Walbaum's foodmart got a Space Invaders. Once that happened, I begged my mom to take me shopping with her. First video game I ever played. The rest is history.

In Danbury, Connecticut, where I grew up, the dentist had free arcade games in his waiting room. Tempest, Domino Man, Asteroids, and a couple others that I forget. He was a kids dentist. I was probably the only 8 year old who couldn't wait for his annual dentist apt.

Philly Classic, whenever it is, will still by my first convention. I can't wait. I also look forward to meeting and AtariAge people there that I have shared these forums with during the past year. I'll bet there... whenever it is.

Since I mentioned Airlock I have seen a whole lot of love for it. I am so happy I am not alone. I think it's one of the only atari games that causes that fun 'video game panic'. You know the water is moving up a level and you just screwed up the jump over whatever the hell that block / rivot thing is. I remember screaming for the little blob to get up and get running again. That's one crappy submarine... that's all I know. Of course the game lasts about 3 minutes before you win or lose, but it's a pretty fun game ... for being so very sucky.

I have wound up with as many gray guns as orange. I believe the gray would be harder to find, but I have about 5 of each. According to this auction, I will now sell them on ebay and retire ! So long suckers ! I'm rich ! ! ! !

I have an spare Vectrex in great condition and I was hoping to get some of the more rare NTSC 2600 carts for it. If anyone is interested PM me. (Don't care about boxes or manuals except for Starpath games) What I want most... Any Tigervision other than Miner 2049er 1 and 2 Any Commavid other than Room of Doom Any Starpath other than Fireball, Phaser or Dragonstomper in box Montezuma's Revenge Tax Avoiders James Bond Road Runner Spy Hunter Bank Heist Pete Rose Baseball Texas Chainsaw Xenophobe Gas Hog Shuttle Orbiter Waterworld If you have any other rarities 5 or higher that you would be willing to trade other than those listed above, let me know.

First of all, thanks to everyone here for all the advice and help along the way. (Especially NE146.) Here's a pic. I will post a bunch of the 'making of' photos later. Thanks again to everyone.

Airlock Always loved it.

What would you think is a fair price for them ? (in case I throw a bid out there) I was thinking $10 a piece so around $40 ?
-
Never knew these existed. Pretty damn cool ! (My guess is that these will go pretty high, but I will watch for fun.) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...7943047401&rd=1

What the hell is an action max?
Red 5 replied to sega saturn x's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Action Max is awful. And I have seen them on ebay for $10 new in the box, so definitely haggle. -
The Arcade games I had (have) the most fun playing personally? Galaga (but I own this, and am completely bias) Tempest Ms. Pac Man Star Wars Track and Field / Q*Bert (tie) If I was making a Best Arcade Game Ever list for the history books? 1. Pong 2. Space Invaders 3. Pac Man 4. Asteroids 5. Donkey Kong

So my wife is in Best Buy and she comes home and tells me this story... She says there's a six year old kid with his Grandfather pointing at the Atari flashback system begging his Grandfather for it. The Grandfather says, "No you don't want that. It's the old one." The six year old says, "No Grandpa ! That's the one I want ! I want Atari ! I like the old ones ! Mom said I could get it !" Don't know if the kid got it or not, but how cool is that ! I mean, I know it's the Flashback and it pretty much bites the big one from what I've heard, but the fact that it's 2004 and a 6 year old is begging for an Atari system for Christmas makes me smile.

My wife's favorite is frogger as well. Also, I have found Q-Bert is always popular with the lovely ladies. Right now, rumor has it that my mother can't stop playing Harvest Moon and Katamari Damasi and before that she was addicted to Animal Crossing. A 55 year old woman addicted to video games. So proud of her.

Also, to answer the question about your system, the all black one is known to most as the Vader version. The system that is probably the most popular and most wanted amongst collectors is the 'Heavy Sixer' which is the 6 switch woodgrain model. It is heavier than the regular 6 switch and was made in Sunnyvale California. It is slightly different looking than the regular wood grain 6 switch. (The molding in the front is rounded. Hard to explain without pictures.) Yours would lie somewhere in between. The 4 switch woodgrain and Vader usually bring in the same amount in auctions. Basically the middle of the road. The top being the heavy sixer and the bottom being the Atari Jr. Hope this helps. Welcome to AtariAge !

Welcome aboard. I was an Xbox live beta tester, and have been in love since day 1. One of the greatest things to happen to console gaming in a long long time. Grab Ghost Recon 2 when the Halo hype cools off. It's great.

If Pavlov was doing his experiment today, I would be the dog and when the bell rang, they would show me pictures of CPU's collection.

Actually that's the cast of the greatest show in television history, "The Greatest American Hero." I totally forgot about that show, but I loved it. And who could forget the hit single "Believe it or not I'm walking on air" as the theme song !

In an act of blind faith... PM sent to get every rare game made for cheap...
