NE146, you freakin' rule.

Thanks for the input. I found out that I will be getting the X-Arcade stick for Christmas, so I guess I will have to see for myself. I have been cleaning out, and fixing up an old cabinet I got. The fun part is that after scaping away layer after layer of paint, I found out that this was an original 'Missile Command' Pretty cool ! Inside, on the bottom shelf under a load of crap was th schematic for missile command as well. Anyway, it appears that I have some flexibility with the cab so I hope I can make it work with the X-Arcade. If it looks like crap or an add-on, I will probably make my own. I am pretty good at woodworking and am betting on making it look half way decent. I will post pics when I am done. (Hopefully in January) Thanks again for the info.

I am thinking of getting an x-arcade joystick to use in my MAME cab. (This one http://www.x-arcade.com/two-player.shtml ) I was wondering if anyone else has tried to install this into a cabinet, and how (or if) you permanantly mounted it. I know cabs are different sizes and shapes, but I just wanted to get a few ideas of how other people did it.

I think I may have caused the 'private' feedback. In my e-mail, I explained why it is unlikely my item got lost in the mail because of the following... I then went on to list all the auctions and negative feedback that was left by others. Cut and paste links to his negative feedback pages, etc. I showed him how there was evidence that contradicted his 'lost in the mail' story. The next day, he has private feedback.

What is the easy way to beat Raiders of the Lost Ark?
Red 5 replied to mileena's topic in Atari 2600
Can't think of a good 'throw me the idol, I'll throw you the whip' joke. -
I won this auction from the same scumbag. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MEWN:IT Told me they sent it USPS and that they just moved. Told me it didn't come back to them and offered me a refund. I have yet to see the refund. Would have loved that Mr. Do. I haven't posted a negative yet because I was waiting to see what would happen when I e-mailed them back. Look for my neg. this weekend I guess. Like you said, they were 100% when I bid too. Now look. Now all that will happen is they will get removed from ebay and get to keep all of the money they stole with no repurcusions. Amazing. Then they will simply come back to ebay with a different name and sell again. That is why I hate ebay, but as a collector, it's become a necessary evil. It has happened to be twice before, but luckily never for more than $10. I just looked again. They just decided to make their feedback private. Interesting.

Look how much Jim Baker (or any other tv evangelist) made. Or how much John Edwards makes 'talking to dead people'. There is a 'psychic' with a neon sign in every town in this country making money with Tarot cards, palm reading, a crystal ball or whatever. Now, you can simply throw a grilled cheese sandwich onto this list. Doesn't surprise me in the least. It will get really scary when people start travelling from all over the world to look at the grilled cheese sandwich and start crying in its presence. I had Hervé Villechaize appear in my m&m's once. Not the peanut kind, THE PLAIN ! THE PLAIN !

Knight Rider

I found a box of old laser discs if anyone wants them. Huge box. Old movies. Jaws and Clash of the Titans are probably the two that stand out the most. The rest are all great classics, but older. If you are interested, or want the whole list of movies, pm me and I will send you the list tonight. I'll take anything video game related that I don't have. I'd rather trade, but I'd sell them for $5 each.

Got an Apollo Guardian, River Raid 2, and a Panda Space Canyon for $4 a piece last week at the local flea market. That's by far the best I ever did. Tag sales are different. This years highlights at tag sales for me include a Sega Nomad, a Virtual Boy and games, Boxed Atari Stunt Cycle, and a 7800 with about 20 mint games for it, Boxed colecovision too with a bunch of really rare games (Slurpy). I got my 5200 boxed at a tag sales and most of my atari collection through the last 5 or 6 years of tag saling. 90% of the time though, tag sales are all Nintendo and Genesis, which isn't a bad thing, just not as good as Atari. Nice find by the way. It's such a great feeling to find that stuff in the wild.

Escape from the Mindmaster

I love collecting as much as I love playing. I got just as much joy finding Guardian last weekend at a flea market and adding it to my collection as I do playing hours of 'Escape from the Mindmaster' or 'H.E.R.O.'

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5532507668&rd=1 And no, that's not me. Nor do I have any affiliation at all with this person. But it did crack me up. I like the starting bid.

It was already mentioned in a previous post, but I just wanted to make sure it got a little more spot-light. Flashback Best game on the system IMO, and still holds up pretty well today.

The best part is that I needed all but about 5 of these. Mostly label variations, but still needed them. It's a huge deal for me, because not only is it only my second "8", this little lot pushes me over the 300 mark for unique 2600 carts. I just played Guardian for the first time. Surprisingly, it's not a bad game!

Crap. Sorry for the giant pics...

I offer hope to all of us who go through tag sale after tag sale. Flea market after flea market. Thrift store after thrift store. This incredible lot comes from my local flea market. Only 3 tag sales this weekend so I hit the flea... $4 a cart was a bit much until I saw the titles. Apollo Guardian River Raid II Panda Space Canyon (My first Panda title ) No Escape Star Voyager Star Trek Star Wars ROTJ Zaxxon Adventure Backgammon Karate Hunt & Score Chase Real Sports Tennis Hunt and Score Sky Diver (White Text, not faded, date 1986 ) Video Olympics $65 for all of them. Or about $3.80 a cart.

I have this game with this same exact label. I thought that it wasn't the PAL version, but I don't know what I have now. On my old TV it rolls, but not on my semi-newer TV. The fact that it rolls on my old tv leads me to believe that it's PAL. The label on AtatiAge is said to be the PAL version. All I can say is that I have that exact label variation and it rolls. If anyone has any other info, I would be very interested.

Tunnel Runner had a ton of levels with different mazes and inceasing difficulty (to the point where the maze turned invisible). Same 'screen' though, just different colors and mazes. Although, the same could be said of Q-Bert I guess.

So on my last quest for video games at tag sales, I see a sign for 100's of free music tapes. I inquired about them and he says, take 'em ! In this huge box are over 100 Phish concert cassette tapes. I like Phish about as much as I like Vanilla Ice, so if anyone would like to trade me for these, it would be my pleasure. I don't really have a trade list, but I collect for all systems. Make me an offer and if it's something I don't have, I will trade ya! Anything Atari is really what I am into now, but will consider any video game item. I will split the tapes up for smaller trades, or send you the whole box if it's something good. I have a list of what shows they are if you send me your e-mail address I can mail it to you. Thanks !
