  1. I will be posting a thorough group of photos for this lot. I am asking a lot so I feel as though I need to fair in posting detail pics.
  2. I guess I would be okay anywhere between 700 - 800 dollars for the whole thing... Not sure if that is tooo steep.
  3. Not sure as of yet. What are you comfortable spending? Keep in mind I don't have an outrageous number in my head. Just enough to make a deposit into my daughter's Fidelity account
  4. I agree. I purchased Castlevania Chronicles listed as *Like New* when it arrived I noticed that the disc was resurfaced and the seller couldn't even be bothered to slap a new jewel case on it... needless to say for 90 bucks...I was annoyed. Then the seller vanished. The disc works fine and plays but still I was a bit miffed. I thought about raising a stink on eBay but I decided against it as the game did play.
  5. Noted and changed. Not trying to scam anyone. The box is in, what I will now refer to as, pretty good aside from a corner that looks like the skin on somebody's elbow condition, aside from that corner (which is why I chose that picture so as to show it). The box for Raiden isn't crushed, small impression on corner, the box retains its dimensions and isn't collapsed like the AVP box that I picked up at a tag sale, that box is well worn. The games and boxes stay in that cabinet. The loose carts have never been put into the Jaguar because I am anal retentive. I could have described everything better and I thank you for the heads up.
  6. Well it has come to this - I am pairing down my library of games. My wife makes the case (and I agree) that I have too much stuff that I simply do not use taking up space. That being said I thought I would throw this up here to see if any of you fine folks might be interested. Here is the text from the craigslist.org ad that I posted where I live in Connecticut: Included is a BOXED Atari Jaguar, it has been opened as of last year and played. I purchased it new-old-stock fall of 2016. Included are: original RF Switch, bundled controller, manual, ALL plastics that came with the unit. Also an official OEM Atari AV cable AND a Cats Eye S-Video cable. Also comes w/ Atari Jaguar bumper sicker that they gave away at KB Toys. Everything else: 1 x extra grey button OEM controller 2 x extra black button OEM controller 2 x Doom (CIB w/ Manual & Controller Insert) 1 x Aliens vs. Predator (CIB w/ manual & Insert) 1 x Super Burnout (CIB w/ manual) 1 x Ultra Vortek (CIB w/ manual) 1 x Kasumi Ninja (CIB w/ manual) 1 x Iron Soldier (CIB w/ manual) 1 x Total Carnage (CIB w/ manual) 1 x Worms (CIB w/ manual) L 1 x Rayman (CIB w/ manual) 1 x Raiden (CIB w/ manual) 1 x Xenon 2: Megablast (CIB w/ manual) 1 x Hyperforce (CIB w/ manual) 1 x Wolfenstein 3D (CIB w/ manual) 1 x NBA Jam TE (cart only) 1 x Val Des'Ire Snowboarding (cart only) 1 x Cybermorph (cart only) 1 x Doom (cart only)
  7. There is almost always a cart in the console, unless...its in the box, in which case there is no cart there...however, I do change games a lot so I would no be surprised it dust managed to get in to the slot. Though it only seems to be f*cking DOOM that gives me a problem. Almost as if the universe KNOWS i like that game the best and decides to make it not work. I also recently acquired a cats eye s video cable from Bests as well which is awesome...so I am ready to play this thing... the DOOM thing has me puzzled, between the 3 carts I have I have a working version I suppose.
  8. I'll give it a good cleaning, the console has only been out the box for a year...maybe spent about 6 months of that boxed up and I am super anal about keeping it tidy. But I will clean the cart with alcohol and how would you recommend I clean the connector?
  9. Quick bit of information - I purchased a NIB Jag from Best Electronics about a year ago. It has worked excellent so far and I love it. I've also purchased a few games from them and they also work great. I have THREE, count 'em, three copies of doom. One that I picked up a while ago (maybe 2006) that was loose and somewhat beat up, a third which I grabbed from eBay used and in the box but no overlay, clean cart for the most part and a NIB sealed copy w/ overlay and a pristine cart, sealed in its little baggy. I've noticed that long sessions of doom yield odd results... Now, I've had an older model of Jag that just flat out refused to play the game, this one is a newer and has worked well so far. BUT occasionally on around the 9th map, after Phobos Anomaly, I think its Deimos Anomaly I get a "unknown player location" and the game freezes on one cart, I can reboot it and resume play and it is okay. On the NIB cart on map 11 Refinery I got a weird sound, followed by weapon graphics that were all screwed up and glitchy, it seemed to works its way out when I switched weapons and then after I died fighting a baron of hell his sprite graphic started to glitch out. Now, I wiggled the cart while it was still on and the graphical glitch was gone...so I think the NIB cart may not be making a good connection to the console and is causing the problem. The other cart's issue I have no idea why that "unknown player location" error pops up. Has anyone ever experienced issues of this kind? I quickly swapped out the game for total carnage and it played fine. I was worried that the jag might be dying which would suck because it has been quite a bit of money chasing the dream of owning this ancient grey whale. Which I truly do enjoy. -SK
  10. Just got mine today. Amazing package job, manual, poster and cart. The game is excellent as well! Thanks!
  11. I never owned a Jag back in the 90's but had always wanted one. I'll never forget when I saw this massive Jag display at circuit city boy was I amazed... My friends all thought that I was crazy (and maybe I am). The years piled up and I finally caved (late in the game I might add) and purchased a Jag. Now, my experience may not be typical but I feel that in the interest of full disclosure it may be helpful for some. The first Jag i received from an eBay seller had an issue where the color was off. Everything was displayed in a blue hue. I returned it - the seller was extremely nice. I located one at a local game store that was in excellent condition... but after playing any "3D" game for an extended period it would display black lines in a pattern such as: | | | | | across the entire screen, like a rake. So... I returned that one but kept my games. Eventually after watching a video by Austin of Gameplay and Talk fame I picked up the phone and called Best Electronics and ordered a NIB Jag. With the going rate for many games (I prefer those that are boxed w/ manual / overlay) being rather expensive... my total investment, with AV cables, extra controllers, etc is probably just shy of 1,000 bucks (Rayman alone was 100 and change). I am an adult collector and you can undoubtedly find things for much cheaper but I like the idea of something looking as if it was brought through a time machine from 1993 directly to me.
  12. Okay I think I've figured this out. The medals are extra lives and every 50,000 points you get a continue. My reasoning is that I died during the first wave fighting the dude in the tank. Picked up a medal and had 4 guys remaining. Died shortly there after but had reached 50,000 points and thus another continue. Then I was warped a little while later to a base where waves of red alien guys were charging me and civilians were running from a doorway... I would have died there but had reached 100,000 and therefor a continue. Then I was warped back to the desert and continued to fight on reaching 150,000 blah blah you get the idea. This is only a theory but I was keeping track of what my score was relative to the continues as someone mentioned in an earlier thread that they thought that the continues that they had were in some way tied to 'performance' and in a way I believe that they are. Every 50k - which isn't that difficult if you are constantly on the move and using the controller in the weird thumbstick left hand / right hand keyboard configuration...or as someone stated playing w/ a friend... but I'm 35 and the only friend I have that still plays games lives 4 states away. Ah well. Cheers everyone enjoy your Sunday evening.
  13. Ahh so the medals are continues. Cool! Ive worked out a system of using the standard controller - its still very fun. i recall getting my ass handed to me in the arcade port as well. Definitely fun on the jag. Good buy overall.
