  1. Yes, the NZ carts look awesome... I really want the Haunted House. (As a former hardcore Magic player, my brain thinks of them and their extra-round corners as "Alpha" )
  2. Very sneaky of Max to hide in the white Christmas tree.
  3. All the people I've dealt with via Craigslist have been OK, surprisingly. Sorry you guys are getting the jerks/creepy stalkers... definitely a good idea to deal with them in a neutral location. I've had two people let me come to their houses (I didn't go alone, of course), but they were for big things (250lb Sony HD CRT in one case, two six-shelf Metro racks in the other).
  4. There's actually a whole site for that -- catsthatlooklikehitler.com.
  5. Ooh, yeah, show us pics! Epyx may be my favorite game company of all time... I can hum their national anthem.

    VAL ?

? This is an actual Atari prototype from back in the day...
  7. This is the right answer. At first it's scary because it's a really freaking scary voice, in an era when you weren't expecting that. Then once you've played a couple of times it's scary because you never have enough bombs and you know you're about to be eaten.
  8. I don't have a problem with using different controllers, though like everyone said, autofire/macros/whatever can be cheating. I don't necessarily agree that a d-pad is more accurate -- for games I grew up playing with a joystick, I'm more accurate at them with one still.
  9. That's bizarre... I bought games from Big Lots too, but I never saw a Klax. I'd be tempted to open it and be sure it's PAL too.
  10. Yeah, Jr.'s are tiny. Almost tiny enough to put in a really big cargo pocket. No, you probably shouldn't take it on a marathon everyday, but they're plenty sturdy for casual backpack carrying.
  11. If you tell us what games they are we can give you a better answer. But if you bought them in the U.S. in a store I find it highly unlikely they'd be PAL.
  12. Aha, good to know there's a list for the Romox ones... very cool that you have one, CPU. I guess no one has a similar document for Xante?
  13. Are we sure that all the Xante games that could exist are listed on Atarimania? (Alien, Atlantis, Beany Bopper, Cosmic Ark, Crypts of Chaos, Demon Attack, Fire Fighter, Mega Force, No Escape, Solar Storm, Trick Shot, and Worm War I) Also, do we know what all games could have been put on the Romox cart? (No, I haven't suddenly become fabulously wealthy... not looking to buy them, just curious. )
  14. Is the win $5000 thing shown there part of the manual, or a separate page?
  15. Eight Force of Wills, a near-complete play set of duals (missing two Volcanic Islands), four Sinkholes. A sealed AN pack and a sealed LG pack.
  16. Hmmn, wonder what happened. I was looking at that earlier wishing I had the $ right now, cause I'd love to have all those Sears boxes.
