    2600 horror

The hallmonsters from Venture... they always startle the heck out of me when they come in.
  2. I understand it all now! You get all those amazing scores because you're some kind of mutant that doesn't need sleep and can just game all night while the rest of us are snoozing!
  3. And here I thought eBay had cracked down on selling things like that...
  4. I'm partial to the QuickShot/Archer/Spectravision/whatever other names they came in style. As for fixing the regular kind, what happens is that the little buttons get flattened out... you can try bending them back, but after a while they get completely flat/worn through. Somebody around here has spares for sale, I'm sure.
  5. This is why companies should check what things mean in other languages before deciding on a name:
  6. No, they're the registrar -- the company through which the domain name was registered.
  7. Good deal you got on that. Did you have any Dactars before?
  8. Add to my list a GP32 BLU... my husband gave it to me for my birthday.
  9. Yep, that's now prohibited under eBay's "Compilation and Informational Media" policy.
  10. I'm pretty sure this isn't against eBay policy... similar auctions are conducted all the time for things like Magic cards, and there's nothing in the prohibited items policy about it.
  11. Wow!! That's such an amazing deal... last arcade auction I went to, Dig Dug went for $600.
  12. I'm Mr. Do! too. *goes to learn to bounce fruit off things*
  13. Aha... now that I've seen the CloneSpy results, sounds like you're right, sku and CPU.
  14. Beat Em & Eat Em Did somebody here get this? I meant to buy it to go with my CIB Custer's Revenge, but I forgot.
  15. You mean for real, to win it, or just to see you name in the list of bidders? Cough, Cincysomething I know, I won't, I doubt it is a real US release. I believe the guy who is auctioning it though, for what it's worth. Wait, does that mean you don't believe there is such a thing as a US-released Air Raid, or that you don't think that's it?
  16. Oops, I left out my C64 and C64C. And here's how many consoles we've got, based on this thread... I've grouped similar things together (everything Pong-like as Pong, Inty 1-3 together, etc.) (Yes, I was bored.) 92 2600 68 Genesis 63 NES 46 SNES 41 Pong 40 GBA 40 N64 42 Commodore computers 38 DC 34 Atari computers 31 GCN 30 PSX 29 PS2 28 7800 28 SMS 27 Intellivision 24 GB 21 GameGear 21 Saturn 20 Lynx 18 5200 17 Xbox 17 TG16 15 Jaguar 14 Colecovision 11 3DO 10 NeoGeo Pocket 10 Odyssey 2 8 Nomad 8 TI-99/4a 8 Apple II 7 Virtual Boy 7 CD-I 6 Vectrex 6 Astrocade 5 Channel F 5 Odyssey 5 NeoGeo 5 TRS-80 3 Nuon 3 Adam 3 RCA Studio II 2 Arcadia 2 CoCo 2 MSX 2 Microvision 2 GP32 1 N-Gage 1 Timex Sinclair 1 game.com 1 Spectrum 1 Pico
  17. I've got: Atari 2600 Jr. x2 Atari 5200 (2-port) NES (toaster that I need to replace the 72-pin in) SNES x2 N64 GCN GBC x2 (atomic purple, yellow) GBA x2 (glacier, white) GBA SP (platinum) SMS 1 (just got it for 2 bucks, haven't tested it yet) Genesis Model 1 DC PSX PS2
  18. Maybe it's just the perspective, but it doesn't look like they're actually plugged in, just sort of stuck to the back of the console.
  19. The Pong in Video Olympics should be quite adequate for that purpose... it's not like having a color background makes it stop being Pong.
  20. Heh, yeah, when I saw that this afternoon I was hoping to get a deal, but I figured everyone else was thinking the same thing.
