  1. There's Project Space Station, which I played on the C64 (I think there are also Apple II and PC versions)... you have to pick a crew, design a space station, then do Shuttle missions where you fly up, do EVA to build a section of the station, and then come back. Important warning: when it says that the passage of time is much faster in the space parts of the game than the ground parts, it's not kidding. The first time I played I killed my entire crew because while I was thinking about what to do a month went by and they starved. Oops.
  2. Yay for the mention of Zenji... I love that game so much. I want to go play it now. It exists for the 5200 and C64, too (and probably some other platforms that I haven't played it on).
  3. Very nice... let us know when you've tried the cart out. Be sure to play Ice Climbers... it's undoubtedly the shocking Famicom version.
  4. I think that would be a nifty addition (though I agree that the 8-bit section should come first). I always liked the box style for the Atarisoft games... very eye-catching.
  5. If you haven't bought it yet, do it now. Definitely an excellent deal... that would run you a good $200 US at any used game shop.
  6. That's all really weird... when I posted it it had just appeared as the most recently listed item in the category.
  7. Yep, definitely a good deal... most of my favorite GCN games are in there. Take the warnings seriously about the addictive powers of Animal Crossing... it's like crack with adorable talking animals. Have you tried Pikmin yet? It may well be my favorite GCN game of all.
  8. I wholeheartedly second the recommendation for Advance Wars 1 and 2... they're incredibly fun, quite challenging, and have huge replay value. I'd also suggest THPS 2 and 3 (I haven't played 4 or THUG yet). The isometric view is actually really fun (and it doesn't make me carsick like the regular versions do). Someone asked about Rampart... it's excellent, my favorite version of it besides the Genesis one.
  9. And somebody did... so, is green_ren somebody here?
  10. Aha... guess I should go back and read everything that happened before I came to AA before I ask such questions, eh?
  11. Heh, it does look a lot like Blognaue, now that someone says it. The seller is probably one of those people I always see selling Tag-Scan... I always wonder what they think the game is about... a checkout counter?
  12. Actual eBay messages are generally more grammatical than that. (BTW, in case you don't know, Live Help is an online chat-with-eBay-help thing, not a place to call. Depending on which one answers you, they can be very helpful.)
  13. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8124313224&rd=1 (Not mine... I'd know what chips I had. )
  14. CPUWIZ would sniff at a PAL Asterix Indeed, NTSC Asterix exists. Cheers, Marco Ok, I thought both of those were true (that it exists, and that CPU would sniff at a PAL one ), but the database's lack of a listing for anything but a prototype caused me some doubt. Thanks for reassuring me.
  15. Is that a PAL Asterix? The database says there's not an NTSC one, but I've heard varying reports.
  16. BTW, it stops in Covington, KY... Kentucky doesn't have a border with Iowa at all, since Missouri and Illinois are in the way. Here's a map of the sale: http://www.bargain-mall.com/127cor/127map.gif
  17. It goes on through this weekend... I'm going on Saturday, hope there's at least some stuff left.

    U.S. Games!!

Towering Inferno is one of my favorite games... it's fun and challenging, with a sensible ramp-up rate on the difficulty.
  19. Your lucky number is 7.14? And Jones wants pretty much anything unusual on the labels, so I would think an Atari might be a good choice.
  20. My first Atari was a Tele-Games 6-switch, and many of my games came from Sears... they've always held a fond place in my heart. And the text Atari labels don't look quite as cool to me as the Sears ones.
  21. Ok, I thought this was going to be a topic about the price for an Out of Control. That is way too much for a blue Freeway.
  22. It must be a very shy Ultra Pong... it's trying to hide under a blanket.
  23. Whoops... impolite use of the Back button there, sorry. I just went and looked and this is in the hardware section of AA... for some reason I just never noticed it before. *feels dumb*
  24. That's so cute! I wish I had the money for that. What other freaky Brazilian consoles are out there that I haven't seen?
