  1. Heh, yeah, I started to post about this seller's auctions last week when I noticed all the CV carts in the auctions of "tested" 2600 carts.
  2. Definitely not easily accomplished... I've never even managed to eat a cartridge, much less throw up 160 of them. But seriously, good luck with the auction... should do well.
  3. I don't let those people into my apartment. Cassidy, that shelf with all the boxes looks so amazingly great!
  4. So who has the one that exists? It's not in the database -- do we have a picture of it?
  5. That's my sentiment exactly. I'd rather do the opposite and make a 2600 stick for the NES... it took me a while when the NES came out to get used to the idea that my left thumb was going to be in charge of moving now instead of my right hand, which by that time had been playing Atari for ~7 years.

    Ebivision?

I want a pet Sinistar... the size of the one on the screen, but with the same voice.
  7. That's a great idea... I've already got a lot of them, time to go get the rest!
  8. Nothing... there have been times when I've used it less, but it's never gone away.
  9. Actually, Bridge is the cartridge that has seen the most use that I own. It's also the only one that's not at my apartment... my Mom has it. She's been playing it on at least a weekly basis and usually more often since it was released. It's a very good implementation of Bridge for one person. My least favorite Activision game is probably Boxing. I really like Starmaster, Freeway, and Stampede, of things other people mentioned a lot.
  10. You mean I'm not supposed to stick them with the pointy end? I always hold it like an arrow... has my poor little square been holding its sword by the blade for the last 24 years?
  11. I don't remember for sure... it may have been Adventure. (And I didn't really buy it with my own money... I was 7 or 8.) My parents did usually make me pay half the money for whatever cartridge I wanted by saving my allowance and doing chores... that's how I got the Atari, too. (A Sears six-switcher, and it took me quite a while of putting all the money I got into a jar before I had enough for half the price... I think my parents may have given me a little bit of a break on it, though.)
  12. One of my coworkers is auctioning off a Donkey Kong cabinet: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MESE:IT I told him I'd give the auction some publicity here. I haven't played it myself, so I can't give any details, but if anyone has questions, I'll ask him. (For those of you still waiting for pics of my Tron, I'm hoping to get those up this weekend... sorry for the delay.)
  13. My favorites: Starflight Alysia Dragoon Columns III And I think the Genesis has the best versions of Risk, Rampart, and Monopoly of any console.
  14. I think all my favorites have been mentioned, but I want to second them: Typing of the Dead -- The reason I bought a DC. Giga Wing 2 -- The most over-the-top shooter ever. Where else can you score four trillion points? Space Channel 5 -- Still my favorite music game.
  15. What's this? The thing between Centipede and Berserk with most of the label missing... the description says it's Bank Heist, but it doesn't look like it.
  16. Where in TN do you live? (I'm in Knoxville.)
  17. I was seriously considering replacing my well-used GBA with the NES-style SP, but then the DS was announced, so I'm saving my Nintendo-handheld budget for that.
  18. I don't know, and I didn't mean to say that it was necessarily wrong... that's just the first time I've seen that level of detail specified for label variations, and I'm curious as to whether there are other people out there collecting them and who would put that kind of value on them, since I haven't seen anyone specify some of those variations before. If there is a market for that, I'd like to know about it so I'll pay more attention.
  19. So, Adrian, how much DID Bill Gates pay you for your soul?
  20. Ok, I'd never been to atariguide.com before now... there's certainly a lot of info on label variations there. Are there really people out there, though, willing to pay $22.35 for a very slightly odd silver label Space Invaders? If there are, let me know so I can go dig through the stack of commons at the flea market again.
  21. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath are a lot of fun if you just want to mindlessly whack monsters and collect treasure.
  22. Currently in my house are two GBCs, two GBAs, a GBA SP, and a Game Boy Player. Is that too many for just two people?
  23. Wow... I'm so jealous! That Stargunner label is prettier than the one I paid like $40 for. *sigh* Was this a thrift/pawn find, or a game store?
