Probably, given how many things are on it. And it can probably also (and should, for the price) make you a cup of coffee, if only you had enough hands to make it do it.

R. SHACK games for classic systems
pinball22 replied to ANTHONY ATARI's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The cell phone thing is about to the point where I won't go in the Radio Shack for anything... the last one I went in, I had this conversation: RS: Do you have a cell phone? Me: Yep. RS: With what company? Me: (In hah, got you now voice) Sprint. RS: Have you upgraded recently? Me: (In doh! voice) No. RS: Have you had your phone for more than a year? You're eligible for an upgrade if so! Me: I'm not interested right now. RS: Are you sure? We have great deals. Me: Really, I'm sure. I'm going to do it, but not now. RS: Well, here's my card for when you're ready. And that was actually a shorter pitch than the time before that. -
I assume Ms. Pac only runs at regular (i.e. poky) speed?

Wanted: More Women Gameplayers/Creators
pinball22 replied to Gateway's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I don't know about the rest of you women, but whenever I meet a hard core quake/unreal playing man, they tend to either be horribly sexist, or unusually ugly. (Sorry, just had to say that... as a female gamer I found that just a little bit offensive.) -
I thought they were sealed at grading to insure that you can't swap books and rip people off?

Systems for sale SMS and NES with games and accessories

Yes, it was the comma that was confusing me, I understand how much a kilogram is, but I also first thought it was over 3000 KG. -
Systems for sale SMS and NES with games and accessories

That really worried me until I realized you're not from the US... I wondered where you got a six-ton NES. -
There's nothing illegal about it... the cabinets are being made by the people who make the game -- there's a description of them on the TuxRacer website at http://www.tuxracer.com/
-
I never actually did that, just used it as a good chance to pause. My Mom was the one who made the most use of it... she was astonishingly good at 2600 Pac-Man, and a single game could take her > 6 hours.

I went to the other CC here on my lunch break, and they actually had the games out in a box and marked for clearance. Wasn't much left in the box, and three other people were looking when I was... and one of them grabbed the only copy of Super Ghouls N Ghosts before I saw it!
-
I went to the CC near my house last night and the shelves were suspiciously void of everything on the list. The guy told me they'd put them all in the back and would put them out after close on Saturday, and that I should be sure to come early because they had almost everything on the list. But I'm going to be out of town.

I think the tunnel glitch in Pac-Man is a vital feature -- since there's no pause button, it's your chance to go to the bathroom.

I remember there being some objection when Phoenix came out... people said that it would make kids violent, apparently because they were shooting "birds" instead of "aliens".

Yeah, I've been surprised that Nintendo hasn't done something about this too. Anyway, if you want to get one, don't pay $50, like everyone said. But it's pretty fun to have one... the one I have ("Super Joy III") claims to have something ridiculous like 72000 games, but really has about 100 different games with various Japanese versions and hacks included. The Famicom slot on the bottom of the controller is probably the most useful part -- I use it with a Famicom-to-NES adapter to have a small portable NES.

Since this is an Atari forum, I hope those Little People are appropriately old-school wood.

I love RotS... I remember feeling really smart the day I realized that the reason I could never find the staff was that there was a down as well as up.
-
He also has "Enfuro", which I guess must be a game about road rage.

That's really nifty. Especially the Atlantis II. *drools enviously*

So I went looking for more info about Tron man in a bored moment and found the page where he explains all about making the costume. http://www.ibiblio.org/jmaynard/TRONcostume/ Some of the pictures are even more disturbing than the one already posted.[/url]

I just got the supercharger and I have some thoughts
pinball22 replied to homerwannabee's topic in Atari 2600
Out of curiosity, why do you have an OS/2 system? Something you really need a very stable OS for, or just have an older PC and don't like Windoze? -
Moving the stick with my left hand just always felt really wrong, especially given how much time I spent playing Atari, so crossing them seemed the natural solution.

There was an earthquake in CA yesterday... maybe that was it. -
Tell Nintendo the classic titles you want on GBA!
pinball22 replied to shep's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Ok, I voted... and picked Bubble Bobble, M.U.L.E., and Bard's Tale as my "write-in" choices. Now to get all my friends to vote... *drools at the thought of M.U.L.E. on the GBA* -
Finally . . . After 20 years . . . I did it . . .

This thread inspired me to go look at the programmer info in the database... how is it that Larry Kaplan is credited for Tank Plus but not Combat? -
I'm right-handed and was bothered for a long time by the evolution of controllers to left-handed stick control... I'm used to it now, of course, after all these years of playing newer consoles, but I'm still not very comfortable playing older games that way. It's OK if it's a game I wasn't ever very good at, but for things that I am, I just can't get the scores with a pad that I can with a joystick. And I can't play Ms. Pac-Man that way at all... my Pac-skills seem to be wired only to my right hand. I actually cross my hands on some arcade games so that I can control the stick with my right hand if there aren't buttons on both sides.
