  1. Any idea where i could get a new rom chip?
  2. Ok i have an old intellivision that sounds like it has a similiar problem. All the third party games work and the controllers work with them. All the imagic games and burger time. The ones with the mattel start screen wont go past it. if the controllers work with the other games I am assuming there is nothing wrong with them. Does this sound like dirty carts?

    GEMINI

I got a coleco gemini when it was new. The Controllers were way better made. but the system itself broke quick as i remember.
  4. It's better than the actual movie too and you don't have to worry about anyone turning the guns into walkie talkies.
  5. Spot on. While the Coleco v. 5200 debate had been done way too much, a Coleco v. 7800 is not a fair fight. Two different generations, two different technologies. You could compare the "fun" factor certainly, but as far as which was more advanced it's just not appropriate. I don't think it's an unfair comparison the coleco was released in 82? The 7800 was finished and 83 and would have been released for christmas if the market was there. Coleco repackaged the colecovision and rereleased it in 84 as the Adam computer. Really the Nes was out in japan in 83 too. I wouldn't call those third gen systems. The coleco and the 7800 were better than the Nes in many ways None of course compared to the Sega master system.
  6. I have to agree on the 7800 I had mine for years. The power supply went bad and I couldnt find a replacement locally but that was before I was internet savy. Anyway the 7800 version of Ms Pac man is one of the best versions there is for any system period so it's worth owning just for that.
  7. Well this seems like a good title for what my question is. I have a heavy sixer I just aquired the serial number is 26 thousand something its in the basement right now. Anyway it says made in taiwan on the bottom and this websites history does not mention any being made in taiwan on the first year. I have another heavy sixer which is made in sunnyvale and its a later serial number. Also the taiwanese one has a channel select switch on the bottom. Does anyone know what gives?
  8. Oh my I remember those LOL god it's been forever. We used to love to get those things. Mr Oni
  9. ive never played it with the 3d glasses
  10. I have a box of intellivision games in their boxes that I got from the dump. All have their layouts and one is Utopia. Anybody collect this stuff? Mr Oni
  11. hell guys I would say my favorite sms game is Outrun. It's simple and addictive and a great port. If Only I could find a phantasy star cart not overpriced. Mr Oni
  12. I've been using my sega master system joypads on my heavy sixer and they seem to work fine except for games that need precise control like ms pac man. Anyway is this ok to do does anybody know? I don't want to damage my system. Mr Oni

    Rare find?

Ok last year I took home an atari from the dump that unfortunately didnt last til new years anyway it had a cartridge with that had a slot for you to put a cartridge rom in and then a toggle switch. Anyway most of the roms have been crushed or destroyed but I still have the cartridge anybody ever heard of one of these? Mr Oni
  20. Lol well anybody who was into commodore knows how rare c 1581 drives were. I've got 4 of them from the dump. Mr Oni
  21. One of our dogs at the time chewed up the top of one our joysticks. Mr Oni
  22. I actually am employed by the local dpw and we have to sign a paper which says we can't scavenge. I think this is to stop people from stocking metal or something but every once in a while I'll get something. This stuff is thrown away all the time. It's pretty sad but well I understand just wanting to get rid of clutter. Mr Oni
  23. Although I have tons of commodores and some ataris none of it is originally purchased by me except my 7800. I remember vaguley the joystick port breaking on our first 2600A and it ending up in my toybox I think I took it apart and pulled the rf cable out. It was replaced by a coleco gemini which lasted a couple of years. and then a 2600jr until 89-90 when I bought a 7800 new but on clearance. Mr Oni
  24. Yep saikyo I probably could have filled a box with the corpses of those joysticks with no top on theml. Mr Oni
