I found something today that I have never seen. It is a Pinball unit that plays 7 different games(Flipper Pinball 1 & 2, Paddle Pinball 1 & 2, Rebound, Breakthru and Breakout). It is Model# C-380. The good thing is that it came with the original box and instructions. Only a slight tear on one flap of the opening of the box. I got it for $10. I have not been able to try it out yet because it takes 6 "C" batteries. Those big batteries. Anyway, I hope everyone else found something good this weekend. If anyone knows the approximate value or rarity I would appreciate the feedback. Angelo...

When it comes to collecting games and stuff, I don't think there is a better feeling then walking up to a booth, thrift store or wherever you like to go and finding that "diamond in the rough". I am sure most would agree. That is why I hate ebay so much. True, I can find alot of games that I more than likely will never come accross out in the wild, but plan and simple it's just not fun to find them there. Just a thought... Angelo

Well, I wish I could describe the label. It only came with a handwritten piece of loose leaf paper taped to the cart. It is either "name this game" or I am wondering if there is a U.S. game called "octopus". In the VGR list there is one listed but not on this site.

P.S. In the big "VGR" game list there is a game called "Octopus" but on this site there is no such listing. hmmmm.

I picked up a cart this weekend that had this handwritten label marked "shark attack". Well I know the only shark attack is from apollo and the cart just did not match, so for 50 cents I could not go wrong and pick it up to see what it was. Well I put the game in and I see it was made by U.S. Games, The opening screen has a shark swimming around an octopus. Can anyone tell me what game I have? Is it "Name This Game?" or something else?

Here is an interesting question. Would a collection be more complete with little video segments and commercials about the 2600 that once aired on TV?

It was a pretty good piece I thought. He spoke about the condition of games being important for collectors. He especially noted labels. He didn't mention boxes or mauals though. He broke out some rare games, chase the chuckwagon, tooth protectors, waterworld and quadrun. The one thing I thought he was mistaken on was that he said that one would have to shell out 100 to 200 bucks for a console. But overall it was a really good piece on the system.

I was so proud to be an atari collector today, I saw the 2600 profiled on Antiques Roadshow. Just thought you guys would like to hear about it. Cheers

I was out looking for new carts this weekend. found a few, nothing real exciting. Anyway, one of the carts I found was "deadly duck" by 20th century. On the front label of the cart, the 2nd hand store that the game was at had put this big sticker on the front that totally covered the whole front of the game. When I went to pull the sticker off practically the whole label went with it. Does that piss anyone else off? Just wondering if anyone else has had a nice find that has been kind of ruined by something like that.

I found a cart on friday in really bad shape, but it is shaped in a way that I have ever seen before so I picked it up. On the cart itself, all the original stickers have been taken off and someone had put a homemade label that said "Shark Attack" Now I looked on my list for the 2600 and saw there is a shark attack made by apollo. But this cart is not shaped like any of my other apollo carts. Does anyone know of another company making that game? Do I have the right system? The cart in someways looks like tigervision carts with a little type of grip at the end. I know this one is not a tigervision though. Can anyone help? Ridenmy65

I would say the rarest find for me is stargunner by telesys. I have also found Pengo, cosmic arc and tax avoiders. not too bad I guess. Of course it's no raiders proto!!!! Ridenmy65

Thanks for the info. I was reading up on some cooper black carts and thought maybe one of these could possibly be one but I was unsure of what they looked like. Meaning the structure of the cart. Anyway I will stop rambling. Ridenmy65

Hello All, I have a question for the masses. I have two carts that look like M Network carts. Both are "Adventures of Tron". One of them has a white label with black letters. The cart also has a small "1982 disney and l.l 1982 Singapore" The other one is a black label with blue letters. There are two types of fonts on this one. the "adventures of" is a normal font but "Tron" is in a different font. kind of blown up and blocky. I know that is a bad description. This one has the "1982 disney" but it has "m.l 1982 singapore". slight difference from the other but still a difference. I have other M Network carts but they clearly have the company name on them, but not these. Any ideas or help would be nice. One more thing. Does cooper black carts look like the M Network carts? well, I have been collecting carts for about two years now and I have a couple of good one's that I have found out in the "wild" but if this one is as rare as it seems it will certainly be the best of my collection thus far. I think like most people finding the carts at fleas and thrift shops are much more gratifying than picking up the carts on ebay, but I think no matter how I got this one, it is certainly a nice addition to my collection. Thanks for the responses.
