  1. There sure are a lot of good cheap Atari games. My recommendation is Turmoil.
  2. So you're on Atariage talking about how obsessive Nintendo collectors are. Have you met any Atari collectors? Anyway, NA has a pretty good list of all the 5 screws. There is interest in these because they are the earliest carts produced for the most part. There are a few anomalies though which makes it even more interesting. 5 screw list: http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=5&threadid=12044
  3. I've tried it a million times but I still can't beat Gradius. I've been so close too. It really drives me crazy.
  4. I've never read a top 100 list that had more games I've never heard of. Also, who would ever dream of putting the Zelda so low on a list nowadays? I'm sure all the internet communities would go crazy.
  5. You know, I'm having similar trouble with my Micro Machines. It worked the first time I played it, but the graphics were kind of wavy. Then it just started blinking forever. I think all my other Camerica games work just fine. There's also one AVE and one Wisdom Tree game that I can't get to work. All my other unlicensed games work fine though. Maybe I'll try disabling my lockout chip with my extra NES if that's what the problem is.
  6. Well that's a little more complicated than I expected. I don't think it's a connector problem so it's probably a problem on the inside like you suggested. I guess the easiest fix of all is to just take the 32X out when I want to play regular Genesis games. Of course I'll do some troubleshooting and see if I can figure out what the problem is.
  7. I just got my 32X working recently, but I noticed that when I play regular Genesis games through it they are yellow and washed out looking. I'm playing it through a Genesis 2 and the 32X games look just fine. My prediction is that I'm using an RF adapter instead of an AV cable. Anybody knows why this happens and what I can do about it? Or is this normal for the system?
  8. I'm almost more interested to play a system if it supposedly doesn't have any good games. I'll never regret getting that Jaguar even though it's about 95% crap. Of course I will wait for a good deal so it's hard to say what my limit would be.
  9. I've always thought OOT was very overrated. I might give it a 7. I love just about all the other Zelda games and got this one soon after it came out. It didn't take me very long to realize that this game wasn't all it was cracked up to be. I still think that if the game was exactly the same but had a different lead character nobody would hold it in very high regard. There are so many little flaws (and a couple of major ones) that really bring it down. It feels like almost half of my posts are on this very topic. I've been talking about this for the last 13 years or so.
  10. Well Ocarina of Time of course. It seems like half of my posts on this board are about how overrated I think this game is. It's probably my least favorite of the Zelda games I've played, although I never played the CD-I games.
  11. thanks he's actually starting to run out of video game lists to make

  13. http://nestersvideogameblog.blogspot.com/ I'm a little bit proud of my blog so I thought I would mention it on here. Right now I'm beating NES games and talking about them, but I will probably expand into other systems when I get around to it. It's not exactly a review site. It's more about my personal experiences. Anyway, I would appreciate it if some of you stopped by.
  14. That does sound interesting. I used to play the Picross game on NGPC all the time. It's a shame that they're not more popular. 3D puzzles sound like fun, but they also sound like they would take much longer. I still don't have a DS though so I guess I won't be able to play it for a while.
  15. That's a really good video. It might be his best one yet. I always knew that game was bad, but I never knew it was that bad! Oh, and he didn't get around to playing Cheetahmen yet. It looks like he's saving it for it's own video. It's probably so he can also talk about Cheetahmen II.
  16. Well I beat it again and this time got 175,000. I might actually be able to get a perfect score if I keep at it. I've never done that on an Atari game before. I could've done it with Laser Blast, but I didn't really feel like playing it for 6 hours straight. I will probably get it for 5200 some day, but I need to get a new controller first. Those things really do break all the time. I always thought that was just an exaggeration.
  17. Well if those things were made in Mena then I'd better keep my eye out for them. Maybe some of them drifted over to Little Rock.
  18. Yep I got to watch Pitfall Harry jump up and down! It was just like when I was playing except I didn't have to push the button. Still, I was expecting just an exclamation point or something. The last part is hard, but I actually had to go back and get the ring last. I missed it the first time around.
  19. I finally got the game today and I was able to complete it once. It took me about an hour and I scored 120,750. Not bad for a beginner. In fact that would've been good enough for an Activision patch. Anyway, it's a really good game and I'm glad I finally finished it. I just wish I was that good at the first Pitfall.
  20. I've got one of those in the box no less. I've had it for years but have never been able to play it because I have no way to hook it up to my tv. It's a very classic 70s looking piece of machienery, and certainly a good conversation piece. Hopefully I'll get to play it sometime, but I think I can imagine what it would be like.
  21. Good job on the US Games. That was also the first company that I completed back a couple of years ago. I have also now finished off Epyx and First Star Software(I got very lucky on that one!). I will probably finish off CBS and Data Age next. They're not too expensive either.
  22. Sure are a lot of PAL only puzzle games. Makes you wonder what publishers thought of the intelligence level of Americans.
  23. Thanks for the list Rom Hunter! I was sorta trying to make my own text list but it was starting to get really confusing with all those foreign carts. It seems like they all have about 7 names released by 3 different companies. You site was a really good reference though.
  24. I feel like we're playing The Price is Right on here with all this price guessing.
  25. Yeah 550 sounds like it would be close. It's not really as many as people would think, but since there's about 530 or so released in America and probably 100 or so are re-releases and the like than 550 makes sense.
