Buy it Now has destroyed any collector market!
20eyes replied to homerwannabee's topic in Auction Central
I wish it was actually possible to find things in the wild. Certainly isn't the case here in Austin! ..Al My thoughts exactly. I can't search the wild in the suburbs of Philadelphia, LA, Seattle or anywhere else except the ones local to me. The great wild finds are hard to come by (I've yet to get anything more than a R5 in the wild) Years ago I had no problem finding tons of things but now its getting very hard to find things thanks to ebay. Now days people you talk to that have old video games say stuff like I can get XX dollars for it on ebay or we were gonna sell it on ebay... Ebay takes all the fun out of collecting for me. -

Whatever happened to the days of collecting when people would go out and find things on their own in the wild rather than buy it on ebay? Maybe its just me but I get more enjoyment out of getting somthing on my own rather than pay for it on ebay just to have it. Ebay like everything else has its ups and downs. Just my 2 cents. -

Not a thrift find... A co worker of mine gave me an xbox system with 2 controlelrs and the hookups. It wont read discs though, but im working on that. The thing is really dirty so im thinking it just neads the lazer to be cleaned inside. Thats how I got a $20 PS2 a few years ago. Dirty lazer. -

How did you find out it was working? I found a pinout for the av connector, cut the end off an rca cable and used the composit video pin. By working i mean the system powers up on screen. I dont have and controllers or games to test he cd unit though. -

I picked up an old Gateway solo 9100 laptop for free and need some components. I could also use a 19volt power adapter.
