  1. I got both machines today, ill try to get some pictures tommorrow as they are still at work right now waiting to come home.

Anyway, the tempest artwork is still there under some orange peeled green paint and it still has (what i believe to be) some instruction sheet inside the back of the cabinet.

I'm still not sure what i'm gonna do with it but I am curious what kinda shape the artwork is in. Is there a way to get the paint off without harming the tempest art underneath?

  2. I have a chance to get one of these from a co worker for a hundred dollars, but supposedly the monitor is dead.

Does this sound like a good deal? If its in descent shappe I may buy it.

I havent actually seen it yet so i'm not sure what kinda shape the cabinet is in.

    Any info would be appreciated

  3. I have a Tempest cabinet (the big "wedge" shaped one) coming soon along with a galaxian machine but the Tempest cab has Lee Trevinos Fighting Golf in it currently and im trying to determine what to do with it. Wether its even worth it to convert back or not.

First thing I need to do it get the monitor working.

How hard cost effective would it be to do? I don't even know what a Tempest boardwould cost.

    Any info would be appriciated!

  4. I have a world rally championship arcade game and if I let play it for a while (about 20 min or so) the sound starts to go in and out at random. It will start out good but then itll get real quiet and then nothing at all then a few min. later it will come back for a short while.

Also is there a way to adjust the sound at all?

Any Idea what could be the problem? Or where to start? I'm kinda new with arcade games... Thanks!

  5. I picked up a boxed 5200 system locally with "dead" joysticks and was able to revive one of them with the foil method. It seems to work ok, but it will get me along untill I order some new parts from best electronics.

Also, is it just me or is the joystick itself very sensitive compared to the 2600 ones? This is my first time using the 5200 sticks.
