  1. There might have been nothing listed on their site at the time. Right now it shows an item listed.
  2. I have seen the controller overlays from both RWAP Software SellMyRetro.com and from CreativeBOXgaming.com in person after having ordered some from each supplier. I can say they are all pretty good. Not 100% perfect. For the person performing a controller repair who wants a reasonably priced Vectrex Controller Overlay Decal / Sticker / Fascia those two suppliers are going to be as go as any produced at this time. In my opinion they are good enough for finishing off your controller repair job for a controller being used on a daily basis. My supplier list in order of preference for a regular GCE or MB version controller decal sticker. RWAP Services / ( SellMyRetro Web Site:http://www.sellmyretro.com/user/profile/rwap_software?filterKeyword=Vectrex , EBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?&_ssn=sellmyretro_computers&_nkw=Vectrex ) CreativeBOXgaming.com (EBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?&_ssn=creativeboxgaming&_nkw=Vectrex ) The Positives: Accurate sizing. Accurate graphic. Good color. Acceptable texture and feel. I think RWAP Services does this just a hair better than CreativeBOXgaming. Decent material. Good adhesive. The ones I have used has stayed put. The Problems: Not as thick as the original due to lacking Does not have the visual depth of the original. This is due to a lack of textured lamination over the printed layer. Does not have an accurate texture feel. The original clear lamination was textured in a manner that more closely matched the texture of the ABS plastic of the controller shell. The current 3rd party produced controller decal stickers, while feeling okay, lack this texture. Unknown wear lifespan. Yes the quality is still good, But since there is no thicker top layer lamination on the current 3rd party produced controller decal stickers you might experience a shorter lifespan. Still better than nothing at all. Other benefits: CreativeBOXgaming sells multiple alternative designs never seen on the original controllers. Nice designs in my opinion. CreativeBOXgaming is a little lower priced. But that price advantage is negated if you are outside of the USA. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away there was another supplier who produced a 100% accurate replacement for the GCE version controller decal sticker. That person was Mark DiLuciano operating under the business name of Sunmark (formerly http://www.sunmark.com/). Mark thought out his Vectrex controller overlay sticker design and production very well. None of the pictures on the internet do justice to how good those controller decal stickers are in person. If you can find someone who has one of Mark's Vectrex controller overlay stickers for sale here, or on other forums, then that is the one I would chose over any of the current production at this time.

  4. Two Vectrex listings currently at Goodwill on 2016-06-01. One of then is a nice lot at the current price. But shipping might change that. 5. Not Mine. GCE Vectrex Mr. Boston cartridge on on eBay. "Mr. Boston Clean Sweep Vectrex R10 EXTREMELY rare video game Vintage Holy grail" So it is not a grade level 10. So it is not complete. This sale of a Vectrex Mr. Boston title still has a a rarity level 10 even if it's just the bare cart. The seller "tcm-alternate" has finally went with an auction-style listing instead of posting it at an astronomically ludicrous price purely for attention and offers. What that Mr. Boston auction has going for it: + GCE Vectrex Mr. Boston cartridge. The cart label has some light spotting. But it's not the worst Mr. Boston cart I have ever seen. + It's an an original cart. + Labels and stickers are are original and era correct. + Case, board, and IC on the board are original and era correct. + It appears this time around that the cart will sell. What that Vectrex Mr. Boston auction is missing: - No Box - No Box sticker. (A complete boxed Mr. Boston will have a large black "Mr.Boston" sticker on the outside of the box on the front over the Clean Sweep logo.) - No Box Insert. - No Clean Sweep Manual. (The manual was a regular manual for the game. No really meant for display or use. So no Mr. Boston branding.) - No Mr Boston branded Vectrex Clean Sweep Overlay. - No Overlay Sleeve. This particular listing may not close better than the present all time high of $7,200.00 for a Vectrex Mr Boston. But at the current price of $1,100.00 as of 8:00 PM PDT on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 certainly puts some miles on the road to that record. With 27 bids plus 4 Days and 18 hours left to go for this listing it will be interesting to see how this all plays out in the end. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 282040404579 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mr-Boston-Clean-Sweep-Vectrex-R10-EXTREMELY-rare-video-game-Vintage-Holy-grail-/282040404579? A sharp-eyed collector may also want to ask the seller about the Vectrex system shown in the listing. While the system is not a part of the sale, that Vectrex is one of the only 1 or 2 existing Vectrex with the original Glenmore Distilleries label still attached. Glenmore Distillery, now a part of Sazerac Company, was brand owner for Mr. Boston Liquors when the Vectrex game was produced. It would nice pickup as well. I would expect the seller to ask for a premium over the cost of a regular working Vectrex. Good luck to the eBay seller "tcm-alternate", and to the bidders buyers participating in this listing! (One of them just might be me!) (pics as linked from the current eBay listing are below) Time left:4d 18h
  6. Not mine, but in case you missed it a boxed Warrior is up on eBay. Does not show what serial number it is. eBay | c00lcollector | FA | Vectrex Warrior 2012 / Fury Unlimited / Vectorbeam | Starting bid: $350 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 272235976158 http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/272235976158 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vectrex-Warrior-2012-Fury-Unlimited-Vectorbeam-/272235976158?
  7. I have noted that the security certificate used on the login page for GameGavel (https://www.gamegavel.com/member_login.cgi) is expired for a while now. Notifications to the site admins via GameGavel.com and Social Media have met with zero response. This indicates to me a site that may be in the initial stages of decomposition. What do you think?
  8. Thanks for the update Rolo. In my message I did mention the possibility of using the Joystick button to mirror the other buttons on controller port 1. The initial thought was to have an alternate control for use in a game that offered shields Instead of needing to use another finger on the buttons I find it more confortable to mash the joystick button down while maneuvering. Glad to know the possibility exists in the Vectrex joystick kit. Thanks for checking out the 6-position rotary switch. It will work. I like the thought of being able to swap in any button as needed. That would be easier for use with games that do not allow for modifying button mapping in software. Which is most games sue to the RAM and processor resources of the Vectrex. I was thinking an 8-position switch might also be useful for those times in the future where the second controller port button might be brought into action. That would require wiring up both controller ports to the a single controller. This might be taken a little father as well to produce a single controller with dual-analog sticks and the ability to map (switch) in the mirrored button of choice into either joystick button. Of course there is no software out right now that could take full advantage of such a configuration. But at least the possibility exists for doing so in the future. A separate idea for using the joystick button is to incorporate it to something external to the Vectrex. I had joked about a "Beer Call" feature. For home use your partner would have to be very accommodating and share a similar idea in humor to allow the use of that kind of idea to support your Vectrex game play addiction. For people setting records (not related to alcohol consumption) the button could be use to trigger a camera to capture an image. In a business setting, an art installation, or some other event the button might be used to signal an external action to occur. As an evil option in competitive play that button might be used to flash a bright light or activate some other distraction. BTW, what was the component part used for the joystick? I have a some other ideas floating around that might be possible depending on the part. Thanks again for thinking ahead to include the button access on the board.

  15. My family and I used to battle, and also play cooperatively, Rip Off at the local Git' N Go. When it came out on the Vectrex it's one of the first titles I wanted to try out in addition to the built in game. So much fun.
