  1. Please note regular sales are done as the blue carts are sold out. You may, from time to time, see some listed from the ones I have retained for personal stock. If so, then the best place to look is eBay.
  2. JFM is covering many of the old dead systems I like. I can tell you his that Vectrex MVBD and MVRMC combo kits are even easier to use than it might appear. Maybe in the future JFM will produce a cart with larger size memory for some really big ROM that other platforms can use. It's nice to be able to use the kit on Ubuntu and CentOS.
  3. There was a guy (company) selling them BNIB in the newgroups for a bit many years ago. Also on eBay and other places. Some of those early sales migrated back to eBay from people flipping them. The highest I have seen a sealed one go for is $2K [uSD] But that was unusual! Also more than a few years back. A sealed, no-buzz would go for more than average. What's your serial number? A factory sealed Bandai Vectrex might actually fetch $2K or more. Each would fetch more if it came with the brown single-unit overbox, or the large multi-unit box found on palette shipments.
  4. Reaching the end of the Vectrex blue cart shell stock. 1 left on eBay. 20 left from a previous soft commit that did not complete. After these are gone there will be no more for at least 5 years, if ever. Get them while you can,
  5. "huge schnozz" + Madtronix Vectrex 3D Imager = Free "Plastic" face alterations. See? No nose left on the smiley face! Thanks to John the price of facial alterations is even greater than the cost difference between an original and Madtronix imager. Just kidding folks! John's imagers are excellent. I recommend them to anyone looking to experience Vectrex 3D games.
  6. Been higher for quite a while. At least for account holders. Even at the $3K level it would not take all that long to transfer a $100K. But you would certainly raise some electronic eyes in doing so. Lot's of bid retractions so far. Not surprised one bit. Even though Vectrex is my thing I must admit the listing is interesting to me. Makes me want to put up my NES gold sudoku homebrew I bought a number of years back.
  7. Would you take what amounts to a short term cash float for a big sale like that? Especially when that float comes with a chunky fee, and a way for the buyer's wife/husband to force a buyer's remorse fake claim?
  8. As one who has loaned equipment for design use in modeling a cover from, I can strongly vouch for Barb and Jerry to take excellent care of the item. It returned it in excellent condition. If anyone else is thinking about loaning Barb equipment for her use to establish a new pattern, I cannot think of anyone I would trust more. The covers produced are top notch!
  9. Pull the Vectrex power knob straight out. The power knob is merely press-fitted into place on the the power switch volume control shaft. To reinstall simple push the know back into place on the other Vectrex power switch volume control shaft.
  10. Thanks Der Luchs! Merry Christmas!
  11. Direct (Message Me) GameGavel: Vectrex, Game Cartridge (Cart) Case / Shell, Translucent Blue - New Reproduction eBay (All current Vectrex Auctions): http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?&_ssn=vectrexer&_nkw=vectrex&_sacat=0 eBay: Vectrex Blue Game Cartridge (Cart) Case / Shell - New Reproduction I have had some feedback that some components on some versions of the homebrew boards might have some component clearance issues. But those versions would have a hard time fitting into any standard Vectrex cart case without modification. See some additional details and more pics on other other forum messages here: http://vectorgaming.proboards.com/thread/791/vectrex-game-cart-translucent-blue http://vectorgaming....rt-reproduction https://www.facebook.com/groups/104852679725118/ http://www.ebay.com/itm/251448201632?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1559.l2649

  14. Yes. But more of a custom repro of the function, not the form. Similar to the lightpen working as the actual lightpen, but having a different appearance. I have one of the imagers and can say it works at least as good as the original Vectrex Imager I also have. In some ways much better, since the mounting mechanism is more than the simple strap and foam of the original.

  18. Does the head come with the Vectrex glasses? I'm always in need of another head.
  19. Vectrex Mail Plane cart recently purchased via the eBay listing 549642830355 will soon be posted as a ROM binary release on www.Vectrex.com. The game appears to be fully playable so far. Plays to the end. Plays to the Game Over after 5 crashes. Level Maps start differently. Controls work as expected. Definitely a better copy than one I currently have, and had made the ROM dump of a few years back. Please let me know if you find any issues after the posting. My thanks to Richard Hutchinson (www.Vectrex.biz) for supplying VecDump. VecDump provides an excellent method to retain the original cartridge state during data extraction. The the ROM is left attached to the board, and the shell is left intact as well during the process. An elegant solution for Vectrex specific game cartridge backups. Even more appreciated given that bit rot is a greater concern with older game carts using UV erasable EPROMS. These older carts (regular, fixes, and prototypes) are now well over the recommended 10 year interval for data refresh. Public Posting: December 1, 2013 on www.Vectrex.com. Please note the currently posted ROM (MailPlane.BIN) is the broken version from my dump of previous purchase. The new playable dump from the recent purchase will be named "Mail_Plane.BIN". My thanks to the two people who have already sent funds to assist in defraying my cost in acquiring the playable cart! Big hearts the both of you have!
  20. I bought a set of these Vectrex game box protectors and can relate they are a quality item. Everything you expect in Vectrex box protectors. Clear. Perfect fit. Easy open, or easy seal. Nice price.
