  1. Not that I remember either. But then I missed a couple of things at the Digital Press - CGE Services booth that year.
  2. No, the ROM dump I made earlier is not a fully playable version. This time around will be different.
  3. Dues to some of the craziness you might see I would not be surprised if you see anywhere from $400 to $650 for the lot on the high end.
  4. At only 1 inch tall I doubt if it's a GCE original. I think they would have made the logo portion bigger. But I'll ask Jay and see what he says.
  5. I don't remember seeing that pin before. How big is it?
  6. It' is a great event and I will be attending this year! http://www.caextreme.org/ CAX Free entry! Do you want to go, AND want to get in FREE? Then show up and volunteer like I will be doing. Help is needed for load-in (T,F) and load-out (Sun). The California Extreme staff needs help during the show at the registration desk and to perform other jobs. The organizers need time to enjoy the show too ya know! Two hours volunteer time gets you in free for the day. See more info here: http://www.caextreme.org/volunteers
  7. Definitely agree about the Death Race clone. Maybe we can also revive the era controversy the game caused. Even the Tulsa press tried to get in on the action to ban the game. (unlikely in today's blood-and-guts FPSs)
  8. Last of my Vectrex Red Game Cartridge Cases (Shells) are up on eBay. The count in the listing is the actual amount I have left. A pair of case screws are provided. Multiple cases can be shipped in the same package. Up to four can fit into a USPS Small Flat Rate box size and ship for one price. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fm.html%3F_odkw%3DVectrex%2BRed%2BGame%2BCartridge%2BShell%2B-%2BNew%26_osacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_armrs%3D1%26_ssn%3Dvectrex.com-net%26_nkw%3DVectrex%2BRed%2BGame%2BCartridge%2BShell%2B
  9. Cool beta. Thanks for sharing. A little too tough early on but I still like the variation on the SI theme.
  10. Looks legit. Did you have a dump of the cart available to compute checksum? Nice to know if this was pre-production or not.
  11. Anyone find or create a source for new springs?
  12. I have one of these as well. The person I originally bought it from was up near Canada and also claimed to have purchased the stand from a Canadian retailer. So I am going to assume stores in the French speaking area had these. If you look into various albums on the internet with photos from Classic Gaming Expo you will find my stand along side the US English version of this stand, and Dutch bubble versions of the stand. I find it interesting that this stand looks in a sense like a cruder version of the US stand. I sometimes wonder which came first.

  16. When is the VecMulti going to have an interface to a smoke generator? When things explode in a Vectrex game a cloud of atomized mineral oil smoke should appear! No, The exploding 25+ year old capacitors inside the Vectrex don't count. Except for a single time,,, maybe.
  17. nm,,, (i'll take these to their own thread)

Announcement added to www.Vectrex.com.
  19. The current status of Vectrex Mr. Boston is SPF. More information to come once the transfer has been completed.
  20. Now it seems I get to have more fun and work. Even though the eBay auction didn't meet the reserve there was a flurry of emails and eBay message right afterward. The gist of it all is the reserve that was set is now met in post eBay offers by one of the interested buyers. Since my reserve was met, and since there is a charity component involved I will let the offers run their course. I am sort of glad the eBay listing closed before meeting the reserve and I get to accept offers outside eBay for more. That means the charity will also get a larger cut too. Feel free to send me a higher offer. I'll accept them over the next couple of days. Please send offers directly in a separate private message, or my email if you know it. I will also be monitoring this thread and Atari Age account, as well as the same thread over on Digital Press, until the final offer is accepted. **** Here is a previous note sent to everyone on making post closing offers via eBay and email: Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. Now the eBay auction is over I am entertaining offers for a private sale. Any offer made should be larger than than the reserve price of $5,000.00 that the eBay auction for item 250678211957 was set at. Please note the charity donation indicated in the auction will still be made on completion of the sale. However, if you prefer not to have you name release in relation to the charity please let me know. The same shipping terms are being used. Multiple shipping carries are available as you desire. Regards,
