I tried to play buck rogers on my 5200... when inserting it there was a lot more plastic creaking than I expected... I aborted. Are the sega carts just super tight, or is this an issue with my version of the 5200 maybe? It's a 2 port model. -ben

I was thinking about modding my 2-port to use RCA video/audio cables, to get a clearer picture. I remember seeing a tutorial on how to do that mod once, but I can't find it anywhere... anyone know where it is? -ben

I want to say that reading all these posts almost brings a tear to my eye. I had a 5200 as a kid and NOONE else I knew had even heard of them in my elementary school. Seeing that so many other people had the love for this fine system is great. I finally got a 2-port with 40+ games off of ebay and two reconditioned controllers and I am in heaven. Now if I can just find a new bios chip to play mountain king I am in business. Also, I need to recognize 5200 Joust as being AWESOME. You get a lot more air per flap than the arcade, and everything else is so dead on. You 5200 owners out there who don't own it need to get it stat! -ben

I won a 5200 off of ebay with 17 games... Then I wanted a track ball and ended up getting one WITH a 2-port 5200 w/ 33 games off of ebay. Then I realized that people who say controllers work perfectly for the 5200 have a very skewed definition of perfect, so I ordered two AWESOME controllers from best electronics. So now I have one controller that works decently well, one that sucks and I took apart for fun, and two that will arrive today. In addition I have a four port 5200 that will arrive today, with weird RF/power thingies and about 17 games, two or three of which I will be keeping. What are the extra games you ask? 1.)Pac man...2.)Defender...3.)space invaders...4.)QIX...5.)frogger...6.)Mario Bros....7.)dig dug...8.)Qbert...9.)Pole Position...10.)kangaroo...11.)Galaxian...12.)star radiers...13.)super breakout...14.)Centipede So anyways, I am sketched out by ebay, and was wondering if anyone on these boards did trading. Things that I would by psyched to get are a coupler for the joysticks, robotron, blueprint, return of the jedi, mmmm that is probably it. If anyone wants to buy the whole lot that is cool too, I paid $85 for everything which was probably too much.
