  1. Very cool. I will have to check this out soon.
  2. Looking at the II's history, for me the Apple II went from a hobbyist computer for the home with the OG II to a home computer for hobbyists with the IIe Platinum as the computer slowly morphed and changed over time. However, if I had to classify the Apple II, I would say it was a hobbyist home computer. Fair enough? Of course, opinions may vary, but just the way I see it.
  3. I gotta say from what I know of the Apple II and all of its models, the best (overall) one seems to be the IIe and/or IIe Platinum. Obviously the IIc (and/or II+ for that matter) could be good choice(s), but your mileage may vary comparatively to a IIe and what all it can do.
  4. Looks like a very interesting project. While it is not something that necessarily interests me, I do wish them luck as it does look pretty neat.
  5. Correct. Jack got back into the computer business in order to get back at Commodore and wasn't ready to retire quite yet. Also, if it wasn't for the 11th hour deal struck between Amiga and Commodore, the chipset would have gone to Atari and Commodore would have (most likely) been up sh*t creek without a paddle.
  6. I second this. Definitely having a way to connect to the OG Intellivision's original titles and games released by homebrewers on the new platform would be a good coup imo.
  7. Too bad the NGPC had such a short life span. It was really a good little handheld and it would have been nice to have seen what content they could have developed for it. But, as Rick Blaine once said, "We will always have Paris".
  8. Checked it out this morning. Seemed like a decent little puzzle-platformer. I know the movie was a flop at the box office, but I actually kinda enjoyed it. It was good dumb fun imo. Regardless, take care and keep up the great work. I recently got a new little handheld device with ST games on it, so I may try to give some a go, like Rod Land or some of the others you have covered.
  9. Everyone is going to have their preferences. However, too many times people on any versus topic (whether that be 2600 vs. Intellivision, NES vs. SMS, Genesis vs. SNES) put the fanboy/fangirl hat on and don't give the other system a fair shake. I've been there, too. That being said, the Atari ST is a machine that was very good in its time and deserves to shine on its own merits. Sure, it is not an Amiga, but it still was a damn good piece of hardware that a lot of people would have loved to have had back in the day, that's for sure.
  10. The Atari ST was definitely a very good machine that deserves a lot more love than it gets nowadays. Hopefully that will change as too often it gets overshadowed by the Amiga and/or other classic computing platforms. However, I will say that I think the fellas did give the ST a fair shake and showed that it was a system that would have been a good machine to have back in the day as while the Amiga was (very arguably) the better overall machine, even a $200 difference between the two was a great sum of money back then. Still, all that being said, definitely the ST deserves more credit as it was a very good machine that deserves to shine based on its own merits.
  11. BTW, there is Evercade review series on YouTube (episode 1 is on Ninja Golf). Definitely give the series a look as the guy does pretty good job. Also, he does have others that are pretty good too, particularly the Atari ST A-Z one.
  12. Definitely collections like these and/or more from homebrewers will really help the Evercade grow imo.
  13. Good episode. Definitely enjoying the wide variety of games the boys go over. Gonna sound like a broken record here, but another game that had a lot of potential but could have been a lot better. Still, the game does have some play-ability to it that will be someone's bag for sure.
  14. Good video! Really enjoying all of these great ST review videos. Definitely this seemed like a good little puzzler. Take care and keep up the great work.
  15. Having NES, SMS, and 7800 as the new 4th gen and bumping the Turbografx-16, Genesis, and SNES to 5th gen could work for me, too. Also, yes, you are correct as there is a big difference between the 2600 and 5200 graphics and hardware wise, that's for sure.
  16. Yes, I do suppose that the 5200, CV, SG-1000 (?), and Intellivision (?) could be considered 3rd gen instead of being lumped into a second tier of sorts in the 2nd gen consoles like the O2 and 2600. That, would in turn, mean that the NES, SMS, and 7800 would be 4th gen machines, which I am fine with. Of course, others (including those editing Wiki and other prominent (psuedo) video game historians might say otherwise. Still, I believe there is plenty of room for debate here. Just a matter of optics and/or hardware parameters.
  17. Very true. The ColecoVision and 5200 were part of a 'third wave' of systems. However, technically speaking and a bit of imo, systems like 2600 and 5200 can be considered part of the 2nd generation of consoles, though there are a lot of differences and advancements between the two. However, I will say that Wiki lists the SG-1000 as a 3rd gen. console, whereas I think (due to fact it is a hopped up ColecoVision in most respects) it really should be considered a 2nd gen. console. That being said, I do acknowledge there is very much room for debate on the matter.
  18. Gotta love some romping stomping kaiju action.
  19. While I have taken a pretty good dive into the ST content you have (BTW the episode on Oids was great as it was essentially a Choplifter/Lunar Lander love child), I will need to explore your 8-bit stuff here soon enough. Meanwhile, take care and keep up the great work.
  20. Hey, you are most welcome. Glad to hear that there is a lot more to come. Take care and I'll be on the lookout for new content.
  21. A good episode. The game definitely had some good potential, but just had some things that were not in its favor. Still, a competent enough game in its own right.
  22. Good video. BTW, have taken a deep dive into your ST game reviews. I gotta say it is a bit of a breath of fresh air from the countless Amiga related stuff I see. Definitely I think the ST was a good gaming platform that has been pounded into the dirt unnecessarily over time. Also, I laughed my butt off on your Rick Dangerous video as I have gone through similar gaming experiences before. Regarding the Zany Golf video, I had that game on the Genesis/Mega Drive. It was a good game I thought and it is nice to revisit a time when EA wasn't soul-less as they are now as they published some really cool and interesting stuff once upon a time. In the meantime, take care and I look forward to many more videos to come.
  23. Considering the apparent demand of Reimagined Classics, wouldn't any of the games from the Mr. Do series be a really good candidate? I just thought about that this morning. Definitely I would think Mr. Do would be ripe for some new and/or reimagined titles.
  24. The seller needs to lay off the chronic for a while, or cut back on the CBD product use just a tad.
