  1. I know that ArcadeUSA has been bemoaning that fact as to why have paddle games on a unit that comes without paddles. Still, one could argue at least the units come with the game instead of not being on there at all.
  2. I am sure that a wide variety of images are NSFW.
  3. If a product is non-existent, then it is non-tiered as it cannot be placed It would be the equivalent of giving a student half credit on an assignment for something he/she never turned in at all.
  4. I saw this on FaceBook last night. Definitely pretty funny, but I don't think people are clamoring to relive the VHS days unless they have crap loads of (blank) tapes to record stuff on
  5. BTW, has the Sega Genesis Flashback portable been killed off? I know that Sega has now asserted control over the Genesis mini, but was just wondering if the portable has gotten the axe or not. If yes, that is a (bit of) a shame as that product had a lot of potential, as does the Atari portable if/when AtGames can improve upon that product some more.
  6. A sticker and/or more notification that the graphics being displayed may/may not be the actual versions being used. Either way, it is egg on AtGames' face. Still, this is a $20 product that isn't designed for the hardcore gamer, so people can extinguish the torches and quit sharpening their pitchforks.
  7. Not from what I have seen and/or read. You would think it would have been on there at some point. I wonder what the (legal) holdup is?
  8. Probably they left it off considering that Stunt Cycle is on the system, and Backgammon and Blackjack were left on. Still, just put all of the (Atari) paddle games on one unit and then improve the product via more (3rd party) games and/or improved hardware. I believe that is what AtGames needs to do for the next iteration of this product IMO.
  9. Indeed. One would think that would be on there, but alas not. Perhaps one day one of these all-in-one paddle units will include more paddle games than just the standard 12 to 13.
  10. It is just about the convenience and nostalgia of the unit. Obviously if you are a big time retro gamer, one (more than likely) has access to these games already and/or can find a way to get access to all of the games they want. However, a lot of buying public just wants something that they can just (literally) plug and play, even though there are much better gaming solutions to their itch than they realize if they really tried researching things more.
  11. It's a good product overall, but obviously has some shortcomings. Still, this should sell reasonably well, but I really don't have any interest in this product any longer as my backwards compatible PS3 gives me a ton of range on any Playstation 1, 2, and 3 game I could every hope and/or wish to play.
  12. Very cool I really enjoy simple, no thrills review videos without fancy intros and calls to hit 'subscribe' and/or a 'like button'. To me these kind of (review) videos are what YouTube is all about. Definitely I found both reviews to be really informative, direct, to the point, and transparent. Kudos to this guy. I need to look at more of his stuff, especially when he reviews things with hand written lists and a baton of some kind
  13. Obviously the Intellivision Amico will have an upward battle as there is plenty of family friendly content available on the Playstation, Xbox, Switch, and 2DS/3DS. However, a lot of it gets drowned out pretty quickly, especially on Playstation and Xbox as the big AAA titles are things like Call of Duty, Red Dead Revolver, etc. Nintendo's first party content is more family friendly (especially on the 2DS/3DS), however games like Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild are single player grinders, too. I do think Intellivision has a shot to make it in the market, but obviously not at the level that Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are. Still, I don't believe they are really competing against them either.
  14. My respects for all that you are doing. My interest in Project Omni is definitely piqued and I look forward to what all you have in store for us regarding the console design, controllers, games, etc. Best of luck!
  15. I, for one, wasn't. However, I am interested into what AtGames is producing as I have owned past products (INTV FB and Sega Genesis Firecore) and seriously contemplating getting the Atari FB handheld this year as playing 2600 games on my modded PSP works for some, but not so great for others. In regards to the situation with the Namco Blast product, I can understanding why John Hancock (and others) are a bit miffed. AtGames should have handled the situation a lot better than what they did. However, Bill himself has stated that the situation should have been handled better and explained numerous time exactly how the situation occurred in the first place. While reviewers and the community at large should hold AtGames accountable for their actions, people need to check their oil a bit and layoff the click bait videos calling AtGames a bunch of scam artists when others have have straight up tried to sell vaporware. Rake those people over the coals, and not (necessarily) people and/or companies producing actual products. Just my opinion on things.
  16. True, the big N (mainly) and others are doing their best to fill this segment. However, I believe that IE has a good chance to work the family friendly angle, but (as Bill stated) really needs to appeal to the niche retro gamer crowd and ancillary 2D gaming enthusiasts. Those two working together will help sell the console. If they can't get both really on board (probably moreso the later than the former), then it will fail. However, right now we have a lot of waiting ahead of us, which offers a lot time for others to come out with their own products. Still, my interest is piqued and I will be actively following the development of this console and others (like Opcode's Project Omni).
  17. I can second this commentary. While I only have one son, I myself get concerned a little with the current gaming market as there are lots of potential pitfalls out there with any of the major systems. Having a system that is strictly PG and price friendly (for what it seems) looks good to me. Now, obviously a lot can change in 2 years time, but overall I like what IE is selling (at this point) and look forward to seeing how this all is fleshed out. However, I am also interest in Opcode's Project Omni and seeing what other players have up their sleeve.
  18. I can corroborate this. My son likes SNES / Genesis era graphics pretty well. He is okay with NES era graphics. However, he has seen Atari (2600) games and never fails to comment how the graphics suck (in his opinion).
  19. Disclosure, I am a 39 year old beer drinking dude who grew up on the NES and Sega Genesis . Personally, I am for this system and I can definitely see myself getting this, especially as, like you said, it comes with the original games and/or at least a cheap way to play the original/classic games along with the re-imagined and/or new IP. I, too, am nostalgic about my games and find myself going back to (my) classics such as Mutant League Football, NHLPA Hockey '93, North and South (on the NES), and others. While I didn't grow up with the INTV, I really enjoyed the INTV FB and thought it was really cool system that I could see myself playing more of. Hopefully Intellivision Entertainment will get the necessary support and hype it needs in order to have a good and strong debut in two years time. There definitely is nothing wrong with new/old retro gaming goodness.
  20. Definitely this system has some big hurdles in the front of it, but I don't think it should be immediately discredited especially when for less than $200 you get a console with games built into it seems pretty cool to me. Also, having games cost $8 max with limited run physical editions going for $30 seems reasonable as well. Yes, there should be some hesitancy with this console and its games, but I think they are doing their best to go about things in the right away and they have my interest for sure. If it doesn't interest you, that's cool too. Not every system is for everyone as I am interested in its angle, relative affordability, and link the gaming past.
  21. Opcode, I am definitely interested in this new system, especially since Ed Averett is on board as Project Omni seems to be a (psuedo) spiritual successor to the Odyssey 2 in some way. While I am also intrigued by what Intellivision is doing with their upcoming console, I am very much following the developments of this new system and wish you the best of luck going forward. I was too young to experience the 2600, INTV, and O2. However, I did experience the NES and SMS first-hand and look forward to seeing what you ultimately come up with as I may just have to plunk down some cold hard cash to get this system and its games. Take care and I will keep my eyes peeled for any new news on this project/system.
  22. I can dig it, especially if they are O2 inspired and/or direct successors.
  23. I can dig a gold/brown/woodgrain version of the console. However, they gotta do something else with the base version. They don't have to do the Intellivision II color scheme, but something with some color and flash would be cool to see. Just my thoughts on it as I am looking forward to this coming to fruition.
  24. That would be awesome! Slim Pickens was great in this movie, and in '1941' too.
  25. I agree. The White, Black, and Red trim of the Intellivision II looked pretty nice. I wouldn't be surprised if they update things a little in the design department as I am cool with what they are trying to do, except for the color choice and design scheme.
