If it's "not worth the hassle"... then it's a poor business venture isn't it? and if you have realized it's a poor business venture, then why not just release your work for free so that other Atari fans can play and appreciate your hard work?
Who said this was a business venture? I see a bunch of very passionate programmers releasing a run of cartridges for the love of it. I doubt they expected to make a profit. And then I see a bunch of johnny come lately's wondering why the programmers hard work isn't available for free =) If your boss said, hey man you do great work, can you work for free today? Would you do it?

Notice I didn't say box. Probably wouldn't really need a manual reprint for any either, but it is sometime helpful.
PCB's have to be populated into cases, labels have to be placed. It's all work that somebody has to do and sometimes it's not worth the hassle.
-
But if they arent going to release the rom then they should make carts and manual reprints available to buy for new members rather than this 25 or 50 and they're gone business.
It costs money and time. You do realize most of these boxed homebrews are assembled by hand?

Oh you mean Thousand Island

Ouch, out of my price range for a power supply but looks like a solid piece of work there. Great job!

My fourth run SGM is still sitting in it's box; late to the party and the games are sold out.
Team PIxelboy ... go to the website and send an email. Lots of games are still available.

Link bad, What's the price. I may be interested in one of these!

I look forward to the update soon. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a SGM Pro. Btw, what SGM game should I get first? I guess the new ones here, including the new donkey kong arcade? What else?

It's hard to have sympathy for the stupid, lazy, impulsive buyers on ebay who overpay because they can't be bothered to do a 5 second google search which would reveal most of these items available for sale on AA or Collectorvision new for original prices. If they want to pay 4-5X the price for a cart, it's not the sellers fault. No one is forcing them to get into an insane bidding war over a game they could buy elsewhere for $30-40 new.
Yeah but buying up and hoarding a bunch of anything just to sell it at premium prices later when people can't get the product is pretty lame.

I agree. I believe Intellivision seems to be doing things the (more or less) right way. However, any project whether it be the new Intellivision, Opcode's Project Omni, or CollectorVision's new ColecoVision console needs to be met with some skepticism and honest assessment of matters.
Yes, people seem to be jumping into the fire with the coleco projects but remember, the last guy that did this we trusted until we couldn't trust him anymore ... i'm just gonna sit back and wait. Fuck crowdfunding

I have a USB adapter for my Intellivision controllers but I don't think the mapping would work on the PS4, i'll give it a try tonight just for giggles and stuff.

But all the SGM games are out of stock now. ~_~
Really? I wonder how I just ordered Wizard of Wor then from Team Pixelboy

Ugh, this asshole...

Isn't that the guy that was modding consoles and actually stole a bunch of people's consoles? I may have my douchbags confused.

OMG dude, I mean late 2019. Geez, some of you all just want to trash Atari so much that you just don't see straight.
with a 500 page thread, it pays to be very specific when you post.

I think for the people hoping and waiting for another SGM run, you might want to invest in a cartridge dumper and dump any SGM required games and use CoolCV to play them. That's what I did while waiting for my SGM order last year.

Even if it's fake, why don't you beat that record and push him off the score board?
