If it's "not worth the hassle"... then it's a poor business venture isn't it? and if you have realized it's a poor business venture, then why not just release your work for free so that other Atari fans can play and appreciate your hard work?

Who said this was a business venture? I see a bunch of very passionate programmers releasing a run of cartridges for the love of it. I doubt they expected to make a profit. And then I see a bunch of johnny come lately's wondering why the programmers hard work isn't available for free =) If your boss said, hey man you do great work, can you work for free today? Would you do it?

It's hard to have sympathy for the stupid, lazy, impulsive buyers on ebay who overpay because they can't be bothered to do a 5 second google search which would reveal most of these items available for sale on AA or Collectorvision new for original prices. If they want to pay 4-5X the price for a cart, it's not the sellers fault. No one is forcing them to get into an insane bidding war over a game they could buy elsewhere for $30-40 new.

Yeah but buying up and hoarding a bunch of anything just to sell it at premium prices later when people can't get the product is pretty lame.

  3. I agree. I believe Intellivision seems to be doing things the (more or less) right way. However, any project whether it be the new Intellivision, Opcode's Project Omni, or CollectorVision's new ColecoVision console needs to be met with some skepticism and honest assessment of matters.

Yes, people seem to be jumping into the fire with the coleco projects but remember, the last guy that did this we trusted until we couldn't trust him anymore ... i'm just gonna sit back and wait. Fuck crowdfunding :)

We were talking about Max Ivy's comment that Atari stocks will rise for Christmas. You broke into the conversation, then never clarified you were talking about Christmas, 2019. You're the one who can't see straight and are ready to trash. Here's a few more examples:
