I’m not much of an RPG guy unfortunately, it has to be a certain kind of RPG “lite”, doesn’t have to be “Action” RPG because I do enjoy tactics the most. For example I loved Vagrant Story on PlayStation which is a unique weapons building RPG. I’m also drawn to Unlimited Saga on PS2 even though it’s critically panned, but there’s something special and simple about it to me.

Alone in the Dark is my favorite video game of all time. Being used to the DOS version I find the 3DO load times painful. But otherwise it's an identical adaptation of the code, down to each and every teeny tiny bug found in the DOS original. (Don't worry, none of them are game breaking.)

Lucienne's Quest is what I like to call a first grader's RPG, because it's so simple and silly and short -- and EASY. I think you could definitely classify it as "lite." You may find it fun, but might not want to gamble considering how much an authentic copy generally sells for.
