Cool thanks for the replies, this is why I love Atari Age. All in all it seems 50-50 on peoples thoughts on the console, interesting!

This console has caught my attention recently, not sure why but something about it is intriguing, its almost like if Sony today made their own version of the Switch, which doesnt seem to far off from the story of the Gemini? What crazy and rebellious times in video game history back then! Anybody out there a proud owner or have any history, thoughts, advice, tips, or opinions on the hardware? I know little and would to love to hear from the great minds of Atari Age! On a side note, I also thought it would be fun to go for a Coleco sub-set of games to accompany this console! :-)

Earthworld has a charm to it to me, especially with the accompanying comic and manual. I like to play it and pretend the contest is still going lol. And like AGVN said in his Swordquest episode, with Atari even something as simple as going thru a door, is an EVENT 😯🕹👍🏻

ET is a fun game, I enjoy exploring its world.

Hey there could you tell me what brand converter youre using? I got the MINI brand converter for $15 and although it does work and the color looks great, its sort of displaying this weird wavy/ripple affect with the graphics. It only does it when the CDi is on not when the converter is on its boot up menu screen or whatever you want to call it. Dont know if its the converter itself or it has something to do with the model of CDi-450?...

Sorry if I missed this but the childrens keypad doesnt work correct? What about the normal keypad controller?

I suggest to people unaware of consoles like the Acan go to sites like Video Game Console Library and check out their master list or timeline of consoles. Ultimate Console database is a good one too. It will amaze you how many consoles actually existed, you think might know, but no not even close lol its insane.

From all these different replies Ive seen they have some thin skin dont they? They can not handle criticism well, makes them look weak and makes their critics even more suspicious. They need to do a little more thinking before speaking and not act on emotion. Unprofessional.

A few years ago after stumbling upon David Winters PONG STORY website (highly recommended!) and browsing thru his rarity guide Ive discovered sooo many Pong units I never knew existed. Even though its generally the same game, what makes Home Pong consoles so fun to me is the endless variety of looks and astetics they had! Some of my personal favorites are the Wonder Wizard (which has an interesting history) for that lovely wood grain, the Ricochet, and the Unisonic tournament 1000. What are some of your favorites?

There is definitely a scene for tiger handheld collectors, but its a niche market within an even nicher market, but Damn do some of them take it seriously, ive seen insane prices for tiger handhelds on eBay especially when sealed but even loose. I dont think anything compares to the Nintendo game & watch collecting community though, get ready to throw down some ca$h if youre interested in those, but they can all be emulated and theres been various re releases and game boy and DS with the game & watch collections. I have a few of them, my favorite being Ace Ventura pet detective (I really want the When nature calls one though!) and I got beauty and the beast which actually is kinda fun, and American Gladiators. My favorites are the ones based on movies & TV like the home alone one you got. But I love the Full House, Waynes World, Congo, and Dennis the Menace ones too. The weirdest yet coolest one, and also rare and expensive has to be the MC Hammer tiger handheld! But if youre into the LCD handhelds I recommend googling and checking out handheld empire and handheld museum, because there were LOADS of other companies besides Tiger who made fun little handhelds, great resources. Oh and theres a tiger handheld emulator online that looks fun too, and a microvision one. Also check out handheldgamefan89 on YouTube, big time collector and reviewer of tiger & Konami handhelds, hes cool.

Thank you for your help! My CRT is actually a Philips which is funny being that Im hooking up a Philips CDi to it, Im glad it worked out that way lol seems fitting. I forgot to mention to you as well after watching some videos I noticed the rolling affect you were talking about, grateful mine isnt doing that just black and white. Going to fiddle with these settings and converter box now, thanks again for your picture for reference!

Im a die hard Hotel Dusk fan but have yet to play Last window, never came out in America and the English version is on the pricey side!!!! I bet its amazing, Ill pick it up one day though!
