Just picked up a Captain N: The Game Master VHS

What are your favorite retro (or not retro) cartoons based on video games?
Let's share some recommendations, memories, and nostalgia!

Good question.
I'd say they're not as gimmicky as a trak-ball, but (maybe) not as common as an arcade stick?
I'd put them in the same class as a light-gun, it's a niche audience.
But then again I haven't looked into it much, I know the fighting game scene has an intense community and following, along with e-sports.
Does Forza and Turismo have a loyal fan base and sub culture as well, competitions? I gotta look into it now!

Gamestop is the next Blockbuster. Downloadable games is the future (sadly.)
Absolute truth :-/

Only thing that cart is good for, is for using them as donors to fix dead Tengen Genesis carts.
LOL

It was one of those ideas that looked good on paper, but the finished product...

Thanks! This video really was a labor of love for John and I. You cannot beat those classic 2600 covers!!
Absolutely! CLASSICS!
Keep up the great work Metal Jesus!

A few I could use...

Really, the biggest seeming difference with Gamestop is they'll actually fire you over it.
Sounds like a real fun place to work...

Just picked one up, it's missing a dial though, anyone have a good online resource besides eBay? Thanks in advance!

I'd be lost in your museum of a game room for days

What kind of arcade cab is that?

Love the signs, that is so cool, thanks for more ideas!

The Completely Unnecessary Podcast has been talking a LOT lately about gamestop's "Circle Of Life" program..

I would also like to recommend Pat's vids, quite informing.

I've been playing with their store locator, ...
I guess it's too early for them to name the stores that are closing, but I found a discussion from their 2011 round of store closings,
wow thanks for all the research! Good stuff

predatory and stalk/harass you repeatedly when you're just in looking around
This has always been a common complaint and something I've experienced often at multiple stores. It's almost as if employees are trained in such a way they develop an anxiety for fear of not performing well enough under the watchful eye of a superior....

But, Surprisingly, when I bought my 2DS the employee was very pleasant, easy going, no pressure. Too bad I had to go thru 4 2DS's to get one that functioned, but that's a story for another thread...

I had the Atari Flashback(s) 1-5. They stayed in the boxes, so it was easy to tell them apart. Eventually I sold off the 3-5, but I look forward to 2017 (if there's 7800 support, I can toss the FB1).
1-2 have the most significance to me. 2 is so cool with what you can do with it, and it's authenticity. Don't toss 1!

I try to frequently do Atari 2600 videos. One of my favorite consoles of all time. I am due for another but have been busy with some Vectrex.
I Loved the Vectrex Homebrews video John, it was fun! That was an intense game of Tetris, I mean, Vetris

-
Any suggestions?
Hyperkin has some cool stuff in general, but I'd also like to know some more.

Once Upon Atari is great. Hilarious.
I ended up watching it to thanks to the recommendation, loved it!
