Thanks a lot! Will do, I'll dig them up.

I just want to add to, I love that orange ring around the top of the CX40 stick, but when it's too nice and shiny and claims to be "original", "authentic" or "vintage", makes me nervous lol

Wow thanks a lot Jin! So much useful information here to keep in mind. I got a few bucks to spend so I'll take the plunge with the Gemstik. Thanks again my friend

According to Wikipedia I'm reading it was 100,000 units? That seems awfully low. I understand it didn't do well but still. Also, apparently there was a lot of left-over stock in Atari warehouses(similar to a certain infamous Atari game)? Does anyone remember the 7800 in a fire-sale? Poor 7800, wrong place wrong time :-(

I hear conflicting arguements about the 5200. Some say it sold well with 1 million units and was successful until it's infamous controller starting turning people off, on top of lack of backwards compatibility. Then at the same time I hear, it wasn't really exposed as much as it could of been to the public, it could of done better, so on and so forth. I'm sure someone has an official answer, or I'd love to hear YOUR opinion. I'm sure we'll all agree on the god awful controller. Thanx for reading

Question for people who remember the 5200 as a new console
FOX2600 replied to Major_Tom_coming_home's topic in Atari 5200
I just picked up an Atari Age magazine, the "E.T." Edition. While flipping thru the pages I noticed the 5200 ad. Looking at it first glance you wouldn't tell their advertising the newest edition in their line of home consoles. Seemed...dull, for lack of a better word. -
Top 10 Worst Atari 2600 Games? (Not counting E.T. or Pac-Man)
FOX2600 replied to Atari PAC-MAN Fan's topic in Atari 2600
A lot of these "top 10 worst" lists house some of my favorite games lol They're so misunderstood :-( -
I couldn't agree more. Fox happens to be my favorite 3rd party (if you couldn't tell by my username). I wish the bond between movies and games didn't get such a bad rap, I think a lot of them are fun! And when it comes to box art, I know most if not all 2600 box art is amazing but 20th Century Fox games really stand out to me. I mean "Alien" c'mon how cool to see THAT movie poster on the box! And the M*A*S*H art always brings a smile to my face

were there companies that ever made "replicas" of the CX40 stick (not counting the ones that came with the Atari flashback models)? Particularly in the 90's or 2000's? I feel reluctant to purchase certain sticks while surfing the web because from what I can see in the sellers pictures, there's just minor things I notice that seem "off" or "different". Maybe it's all in my head, but I just want to make sure because I'm somewhat new to Atari collecting. Also what's your opinion on the Gemstik? I enjoy the look of it and I'm thinking about getting one. Pardon my ignorance on the subject in advance and thank you all for the help!
