For me.....nothing has ever beaten the Atari 2600 joystick. The only other sticj I've liked was the Epyx.

I wasn't really into the Sports games on the Atari. For some reason, I did enjoy Bowling and Basketball. They were just so simple and mindnumbing. Plus watching the guy jump when he got a strike was fun too.

After having much success and enjoyment playing Raiders of the Lost Ark and E.T. SwordQuest drove me crazy I could not figure out that damn game and yes I had the Comic Book too.

[What brought you "back" to your Atari 2600?]

I was at this years "E3" convention (been going for 10 yrs now) and they had a Classic Video Game Expo going on. They had so must stuff from the past history of Video Games. Everything system on this website and more. And you could play everything. The creators of Intellivison were there and I was given one of those 25-1 units by em. I also got the Atari and Activision joystick games too.

 

I kind of realized that I just don't enjoy today's video games like the past ones. Nothing but war/fighting games these days. The Atari 2600 was just so much fun. I guess I'm just a "retro" gamer. So I set out to re-aquire my childhood's Atari 2600. I found this website and povlok1 had bought a my Heavy Sixer (Mod'd) and about 60 games from him this week. I can't wait to play em now. My 3 1/2 year old daughter can play some of em too. Thanks for everything Jeff

 

I went up into the attic on Friday and found my old SNES and Sega Game Gear and have been playing those video games too. I'll get my 2600 from Jeff later new week and I'll be all set.

Several months after I got my new Nintendo system, my mom GAVE my entire Atari collection to my cousin - just cause she found it in the closet.

 

Last week I spent several hundreds of dollars with povlok1, obtaining my childhood back: Mod'd Heavy sixer and 60 of my favorite games.
