  1. Awesome! I will have mine soon.
  2. Thanks! I am aware, just low on my list of things to investigate.
  3. Yeah, I had a terrible Level 6 and almost quit after that, thinking I wouldn't best my highest score. But then I hit the zone. Nice score, James!
  4. Also Super Pocket cases are incoming, but slower than expected. Should be here mid-March. https://songbird-productions.com/product/super-pocket-case-blue-yellow/ https://songbird-productions.com/product/super-pocket-case-green-black/
  5. How about now? https://songbird-productions.com
  6. OK, here's my first try on Growing Ties... 1,673 Wait, this is on the Growing Ties DX ROM. Am I supposed to use the earlier ROM instead?
  7. I am planning to either record some videos or do some limited streaming, and make it available to Virtual Supporters + Attendees. eJagFest looked like a lot of fun in 2023, and perhaps I can make it to a future one. It was fantastic to meet Karri in person at PRGE in 2019. The event is not just Friday night, but Friday + Saturday. I haven't posted official hours yet, but it will be something like 3pm-10pm Friday and 10am-9pm Saturday. I don't have a Songbird Facebook account, but I suppose I could look into creating one for this... I did pin the above post to my Twitter account so everyone who visits the Songbird profile on Twitter will see it.
  8. Awesome! I could use everyone's help to spread the word. Please repost on Twitter, FB, etc. as I don't have accounts everywhere. Let's make this a throwback fan event to remember!
  9. Absolutely! We can coordinate more when it gets closer, but if people want to set up their own consoles + TVs, there should be room. Here's me prepping for the event by buying x6 24" TVs... but I will need help populating them with systems! Although I do have a stack of 2600s.
  10. More progress! Really happy with the cascading entrance and staggered move effect.
  11. We are planning to record some portions of the event, and will make those available to attendees and virtual supporters. More details coming in the next few weeks as we figure out what kind of equipment we have and what we can reasonably do.
  12. Well, that makes two of us! Sold a few more tickets already, but I know it will take some time for people to make their plans. I'll keep lining up more goodies for the show in the meantime.
  13. Announcing JagFest 2024 on June 28-29 in Rochester, MN. Hope you can join us. Tickets and t-shirts available now! You can be a virtual supporter too if you can't make it person. https://songbird-productions.com/2024/02/13/announcing-jagfest-2024/

  16. Uh, oh, looks like they are learning a new trick...
  17. The ProController stock is almost entirely gone. I have about 10 more units that I am hoping are fully functional. Just need to find time to test them, then they will go on the Songbird site. After that, I have a bone pile of ~50 ProControllers which need more testing and/or repair. Not sure when I will find time to mess with those. There is no more stock of the repro ProControllers after this.
  18. Very cool! And here I didn't think a game could be created in < 256 bytes...
  19. I agree, and am a fan of Hoplite / The Hunt. Having some ranged attacks and deterministic enemy movement would open up the combat quite a bit. I hope to work on a sequel eventually!
  20. Congrats on collecting so many crowns! I don't think crowns are guaranteed to appear on each level, so you have to play through multiple times. You should always receive the message when entering a level if a crown is present (that was something I suggested during beta testing, so a player could know if he needs to explore an entire level or if he can proceed to the next one). I agree selling equipment would be nice, since you get lots of surplus during the game. Permadeath, for better or for worse, is a feature of roguelike games. If you could save at any point, the game could become too easy. For a sequel, maybe there could be a happy medium of saving every 4 levels or something like that? Fighting enemies of course is the only way to gain experience. Experience will improve your stats, including health, magic, search (ability to find food & gold), attack accuracy, and defense. So while it's possible to bypass most enemies, you may struggle on the later levels where enemies can one-shot you if you're not properly leveled up. Great feedback overall, and glad you're enjoying the game!
  21. Just got confirmation: Duke #1 and #2 will be back in stock at Songbird in the next 1-2 weeks! Pre-orders are back online now.
