  1. Yes but you have a system that is at least 2 times as powerful as the vcs and if you spend another 30-40€ you can get a 3400G instead of the 3200G. The 3400G is about 3-4 times as powerful as the vcs.
  2. an old Ryzen 3200G APU for ~90€ is about 2 times as powerful as the R1606G and an AsRock A300 Deskmini Barebone costs 140-150€.
  3. Over here in Europe Intellivision also has deals in place with MediaMarkt and Saturn. In case you haven't heard of MediaMarktSaturn: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaMarktSaturn_Retail_Group And the Atari VCS? Nothing here. Even GameStop is not listing the VCS over here.
  4. Possibly full amount+interest? And weren't there also allegations of defamation?
  5. Has this been posted yet? Atari VCS - Exclusive Demo & Details Interview
  6. If this timeline of the chinese new year 2020 is correct and you add another 30+ days for Ocean Freight then it becomes pretty unlikely that anyone will get their box in March 2020 (https://www.chinaimportal.com/blog/chinese-new-year-impacts-import-business/)
  7. Someone in the indiegogo comments suggested a new mindlink peripheral. I guess there will be a little longer delay if this is the next vital part missing...
  8. "...we believe that there is room for a simpler machine in the living room that will let you surf the web and have also a lot of applications in your living room..." This might work well in japan but at least in our living room the distance between couch and tv is approx. 3 meters. You need pretty keen eyes to be able to enjoy a lot of websites from that distance. Most people I know prefer to use tablets instead of their smart TVs / set-top boxes.
  9. https://www.golem.de/1904/140787-193778-193777_rc.jpg This Ryzen R1606G box from ASRock (already mentioned in this thread) is cooled passively. Note: They don't use a cheap lightweight plastic box
  10. They mentioned the encryption in the FAQ. Rob Wyatts talk about Type-1-Hypervisors and secure boot was in addition to this. When you combine both you get (at least on the AtariOS side) a closed system similar to the other consoles, but as you said: Who knows how much effort they really put into this and they most likely took the easiest way.
  11. They said something about encrypting the eMMC with the Atari OS and the downloaded content. If this is still true you most likely won't be able to access the content of the eMMC as you like and/or install anything on the "walled garden" Atari side you are not supposed to do so without hacking the VCS.
  12. Even the Vega11 iGPU you get with an Ryzen3400G Desktop APU is only slightly better than a entry level Nvidia 1030 Card
  13. UHD/4K is the hard part. It looks like the only browser currently supporting netflix in UHD/4K is Microsoft Edge on Windows10.
  14. Does anybody here know if it is finally possible to watch netflix in UHD/4K on a linux device? Last time I checked there was no way to do so due to DRM/Drivers.
