If the issue is on an actual cart it should be emailed/Twittered to Analogue. Maybe they look at that list or maybe they don’t, so you can’t count on it for getting something fixed.

As of today I can't find any info that it occurs with the cart.. i.e. something for them to fix. What IS findable out there on that Github issue site for now says the opposite:

"I had the same issue with the EU and JP ROMS from the smokemonster set, but not with the EU cart"

But yeah if you, or anyone does confirm the issue with the cart, log it down and send it in and help everyone out. :)

This is all forum rant of course, as entertaining as it may be to read and engage. A legitimate inquiry would be to email Analogue about the Bubble Bobble issue and see where it stands in the queue to get done. If you don’t like the response, ask for a refund or partial refund.

You talking about this re: Bubble Bobble pausing on its own? https://github.com/SmokeMonsterPacks/Mega-Sg-Jailbreak/issues/41

That Github is for jailbreak issues.. so we then go back to the question of does Analogue even support the jailbreak functionality of loading a Bubble Bobble rom? I think not.

Someone would have to verify if the same issue occurs on an actual Bubble Bobble SMS cart (and judging from one sentence in that github, it doesn't appear so), then there'd be the basis of a complaint to the company about the product. I agree it should be looked at eventually, but marketing/support-wise, it's beyond their purview.  Just saying. :p

  3. Also, like everybody else I'm a little frustrated from the lack of comments from Analogue/Kevtris. If the answer is no to additional cores then that's fine but being ignored and giving absolutely no answer is not consumer friendly.

Did you like it better last time when Analogue announced the awesome jailbreak info for the NT Mini?? Oh that's right they never did! lol Not sure what you're getting frustrated about.. but don't say "like everybody else" because the majority of us here are just fine. :)

  4. Geezus H you're going to make him NOT want to do it. If you are sure a JB is coming from the goodness of Kev's heart.. well great. Now keep your $180 refund thoughts to yourself and just enjoy what you get, and patiently wait.. or don't purchase it. No one cares. Kev already got soured on the TG16 due to individual comments who were in the minority but loud enough for him to notice. Just saying.

  5. On that note what would Kevtris' 2600 Core on the NT-Mini (had he ever released the cart adaptor) count as? Us dozens want to know. :)

It's pretty funny how as time goes on we get so much variation between real hardware, hardware emulation, software emulation, form factors, functionality, both homemade and commercial, and everything in-between.. and in this case all to play old VCS games. I love it.

  6. The links don't help me. I was looking for carts not ROM files.

Wow nice & rude. Sorry it "doesn't help" you bub.. but these people are trying to help answer your question with info. You could phrase it better than that.

FYI most people here are able to play everything they're showing you on cart. It's not their fault you're clueless about that.

  7. I remember it as NES's Mike Tyson's Punch Out,fantastic game.Anyone defeated Tyson?Mike Tyson, was left out of the next production of punch out due to legal issues, the rape charge, IIRC.The ones with his name on the box should be worth a bundle shouldn't they?

Nah.. far too common since everyone and their brother had Mike Tyson's Punchout. I actually think the Mr. Dream one is a little rarer.

But yeah of course I love PunchOut. I can beat the NES/SNES ones with ease and was always a fan of the arcade version even before the NES one was out. I sucked at it though since it took money to practice it

  8. I need a cable NOW, today, like right this second.. not next week. :)

My Girlfriend gets paid today, I get paid tomorrow. I ran down to the store the second I got home to get a cable so I could download Braid and some other stuff.

And that urgent necessity is why you paid like 400% over what you should have. :P

Just ribbing you man ;) But seriously though, overpaying for cables like HDMI, Ethernet, etc, etc. is one of the brick and mortars stores biggest rip-offs.. they totally rape you and it doesn't matter where you go.

    monoprice.com is the bomb.

  9. I dont think playing this rom in Mame makes a difference in the world. First of all, it's just a hack.. of Nintendo's Donkey Kong.

2nd. for actual customers, having this rom available in mame does not conflict with purchashing the hack. The customers who fall into this category are extremely limited in the first place (a. have the arcade cabinet, and; b. the technical ability to put in a board with it). And for those people who want it, let me tell you that playing it in Mame is NOT going to stop them from getting it for their actual arcade machine. I mean come on, is emulation in Mame on their computers a suitable substitute for arcade collectors? Definitely not.. Arcade collectors are some of the biggest anti-Mame snobs around!

But yeah.. most of the people who play this in mame exclusively will probably never own a cab in the first place.. let alone a DK/dkjr cab they'll get to put this in.

  10. Has anyone figured out how your WiiAge is actually arrived at?

Here's what has me confused..... I'm 57 (yeah, I'm an old fart), overweight, and my balance isn't very good (WiiFit agrees). First day on WiiFit and it listed me as "Obese" and "Unbalanced"; I agree with both readings. Then it listed my WiiAge as 66...sigh.

Two days later I did a body test and had dropped 3lbs, noticed my COB was better and my WiiAge was now at 61. Over the next few days I lost a few more pounds, saw my balance get better, and my WiiAge stayed around 59 - 60.

Didn't use WiiFit for about 5 days and when I got back on, I had gained back 3lbs since my last reading (still obese) and my COB was off some (still unbalanced). BUT... my WiiAge was now 37 and WiiFit said I was in great shape. Huh????????

Played with it over the next couple days, lost 5.7lbs and COB was getting better (balance games are getting easier and easier). My WiiAge is now 29!!! WTF?????

Like I said, anyone figured out what this damn WiiAge is and what the system uses to compute it? Trust me, I'm **NOT** anywhere near being 29 years old.

 Don't worry about it.. it's just the old standard Nintendo way of putting some kind of score/tracking in their games to make the "game" playable. For that matter what the heck is a "Brain Age" (in Brain Age)? Or a 1240g "Brain Weight" mean in Big Brain Academy? :)

I think the answer is to just think of it as a videogame score and relax ;)

Never once called them tapes. Later on, when I worked at Toys R Us, I was shocked by the number of people who wanted to buy "intendo tapes". Holy F-ing illiterate nose pickers Batman! How do they put on their clothing in the morning without strangling themselves?

You can make that video anywhere in the world. Ask a bunch of people the same questions, then depending how funny you want it, only show the ones who get it wrong.

..or if you want it boring, keep the ones who answer correctly also..

    It's the ol' standard :)

  12. I went to the Linksys site and downloaded the firmware update for my particular model, but the firmware update is in a .bin file (binary). My computer doesn't seem to know what to do with this file type and cannot open it and the programs I found on the internet that supposedly fix that problem cost money. Is there a way to get around all that? I just want this thing to work. It's becoming a huge hassle.

It's only becoming a hassle for you because you're acting clueless. Your router manual/user guide (available in pdf format on the site) will tell you how to update the firmware.

But basically in a nutshell you log onto the router interface, go to Administration portion, and usually there's a "firmware upgrade" section where you can choose the .bin file (hopefully you go the right one.. at this point who knows), and then click "upgrade". How bout you go read the user guide?

That's about all the help you're gonna get as far as that goes.. you're on your own :P

  13. Pointless. I personally have every single video game I've ever owned from the 70's until now. I'll never give them up.

Also I have basically every single rom & iso for almost every major u.s. console taking up gigs and gigs of space over many hard drives. Most of them can be called up on a whim on any xbox or pc scattered around the house. It'll never replace the real things. But I'm not about to limit myself from them.

Let me just say when I get an inkling to play Gates of Thunder, I fire up an xbox and turn on the mednefen-PCE emulation and play it there. If push comes to shove though, it's also nothing to break out the Turbo-grafx 16 & CD attachment and the cd and play it there as well. I got the real thing. I got the emu'd version. And what.

  14. Not yet, but there would be if you could modify the files yourself, like you could on the original XBOX.

IF you could. All this time however, you couldn't. There is absolutely zero cheating on 360 XBLive to "cut down" as you say.

360 pirates constitute a very small portion of 360 owners. Even the old XBOX, which was relatively easy to crack, probably had no more than ~1% total consoles compromised. I think it's less about protecting the revenue stream (which pirates aren't going to pay for anyway) and more about protecting their service by keeping it locked and proprietary.

Right. as I said above, it's tiny. However, I don't get what you mean when you say "pirates aren't going to pay for anyway"? Of course they payed for Live if they want to use it. Again, that's the ONLY thing they pay for!

Can't bootleg that access. You gotta pay for Live to get on Live, and that's about the only thing MS has stopped.

  15. This should cut down on online cheating as well.

It should also cut down on online mods.. oh wait there is none. And there isn't any 360 online cheating either. ;) If there was, I'd like you to tell me how because I'd do it in a flash

Not everyone's account has been banned. Put it this way I have 3 360's, 2 are modded. Neither are banned. It's not known exactly what MS has found, but they'll eventually figure it out. Just hang out and wait.. :)

And yeah.. Live was the only thing pirates paid for anyway (annual subscription fee, downloaded games, etc.) so really all MS has done is cut off that revenue stream as tiny as it may be. Pirates can still utilize their consoles and download and play bootlegged games to their hearts content including LAN play, etc.
