  1. I just asked him again and what he told me (he told me this before, but I forgot) that the stories he has could ruffle some feathers. Stories about what went down at tradeshows, on projects, etc. and while it may not be an nda thing, I could see how it upset people who invested in Coleco. And yes, some of those people are still alive.
  2. I'll be getting in touch with him soon. As for "not a dig", please, it was a dig. It's cool. I don't pretend to know it all. In fact, I usually come here in search of answers.
  3. I said the same thing, but Howard said the laws still applies. Also, if I read correctly, Hasbro bought all the Coleco stuff so that may explain it. I don't know, but I'm not going to argue with an M.I.T. engineer 🙂
  4. I know Howard Eglowstein. He was a software engineer that worked with Bill on the ADAM. That story he told... I'll have to ask Howard more about that. There are stories Howard can't ever tell because of "legal stuff" and I'm wondering if Bill can tell that story without any repercussions, then Howard can publish his. These are the stories we all want to read about.
  5. I understand it never went into production, but clearly there was a prototype or physical mock-up. Question is, does anyone actually have it?
  6. Does anyone have a list of the various ROM sizes (memory capacity) of classic video game cartridges, preferably in bytes? Looking for Channel F, Intellivision, NES is probably an easy look-up, etc.. I was hoping for a list. Can anyone point me to one? Thanks!
  7. I didn't realize it got made into a game at all. Thanks for the heads up!
  8. Something I made a few years ago. Seemed like a no-brainer hehe
  9. There was a post on here back in 2014 about 3 different people (groups?) working on Tunnels & Trolls, a ColecoVision game that never happened. There have been a few pictures and screenshots over the years leading us to believe that it was almost completed way back when. I'm curious, does anyone know who and if someone is working on it? This looks like it could have been on a standard cartridge: And this looks like it could have been a Super Game: Either version looks FANTASTIC!
  10. I want to apologize; I was being rhetorical, but as always, nice to see everyone's thoughts on these subjects.
  11. So thousands like in the video is... a bad investment? I am close to completing my Intellivision collection but there are a couple games that would cost a few hundred each. The lotto pool is coming through!
  12. I am willing to spend 60 bucks for a new game, but for a collectible... 90, but that would be rare. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dd8B5iMfhZY
  13. You know, it's a shame when someone buys the trademark of a "defunct" company and then pulls this crap. I've been out of the loop lately, but I'm guessing they're going after Opcode Games too.
  14. For the record, you can also "Bing" it to find the Chameleon story... Surely I can't be the only Bing user!
  15. There's Video Game Stars but it's a fairly new channel that has a new video every Tuesday. Full disclosure, I help with that channel However, I discovered these Commodore fans, The Guru Meditation and they make GREAT informative videos. So what say you? Are there YouTube channels we should be checking out?
  16. If Atari pushed the educational side, perhaps the 5200 would have had a second chance.
  17. I have played the ColecoVision version, but to be clear, I made the video but the voice, the story teller, is actually The Retroist I sound nothing like that LOL He always tells a story before going into the subject matter. It really is hard to beat the arcade version. Simple graphics but very effective gameplay. i.e. addictive
  18. Have any of you played this game for the PlayStation? Is it... any good? I'm considering buying a copy and trying it. Looks... strangely fascinating.
  19. Thanks everyone. I now feel safe in saying that was the first!
  20. I am led to believe that the first video game based on a comic book is Superman for the Atari 2600. However, I am not positive. Does anyone know and/or have definitive proof/source? Thanks!
  21. Funny, as a kid I would have drooled at the thought of having Turbo Fighter (plane-like) controls. Now, for actual use, nah. To display? Heck yes
  22. Mind blown at the great suggestions. Such a noob when it comes to the technical side of things. I thank you too as I was curious as well.
