Your work story was interesting, and somehow younger you looks like at least three kids I went to high school with. Loved the video, keep up the good work!

I assume that's not hyperbole, good lord...There are so many people under that bus it is no longer to be referred to as an automobile but as the tallest man made mountain.

Oh, should've figured before I asked. Is he still trying to plug retro on Patreon? And where is he now? Can't he get in trouble for something? Like the whole mini arcade tables, isn't that selling stolen property along with some kind of fraud? That was sort of the whole thing that started this interest. He screwed over his friend above all else, and Willie seems so nice in all his videos and that's the part I don't get. Sure he's a fraud and a cheat but he clearly can't be stupid. In theory you can make all the excuses you want and MAYBE have some form of trust in you, but when you wrong someone innocent and seen as kind, and even loyal which he seemed to be even after the Chameleon debacle, there's just no saving you. It's infuriating to hear and think about throwing friends under a bus and or wronging them. I just can't seem to understand why? Why keep digging when he knew there's no way out. StopDrop&Retro, you said it best when you say he's "fascinating" to study, although the fascination comes with the bashing your head against a wall trying to figure out why.

You mean this site? Should I trust it? I went on the forums to see if there's any kinds of activity but the most recent post I found was from a year ago. Does Kennedy still run it?

Pipercub probably knew him best and for the longest out of anyone here. From what I've seen and heard he was a pretty chill guy who was just into the hobby, he'd make videos and participated in their podcast. The downward spiral began with the RETRO magazine Kickstarter and his quest to become King Retro. Then he just kept doubling down from there. It's like that little bit of success activated a part of his brain that told him there's gold to be found if he just keeps digging, not realizing he was digging a grave until he was in too deep.
Imagine you have someone who likes to walk along the beach and collect seashells. Do you think their time on the beach will ever be the same after I give them a metal detector?
As someone who lives on the beach that made perfect sense to me. I love the beach and have my best moments and walks when I go of my own choice. I can already imagine how I or anyone else would be if given a metal detector.
If he was a cool dude then that's awful to hear how he is now.
By the way, I like your reviews, thanks for responding!

To anybody who knew him, what was he like before? I didn't hear about this while it happened at the time but going back and catching up on every post and video made about him is almost interesting in a way. Except when he took his friend's mini arcades and sold them. By the way, did he ever get those back?

Typically Funkos look a little jarring depending on what franchise they do. When it's something cartoonish, I.e. my Steven Universe figures, they can look pretty damn cute! I think these fall under the same line, not crazy about Centipede just cuz he look creepy. Fygar, Frogged, Q-Bert and the little Dig-Dug dude are adorable!

All sorts of possibilities exist for a new name and they can keep the retro part and put it with an animal just like someone else did
Retro Rat, Retro Raven, Retro Roadrunner, Retro Rook... that last one could be a good fit if this is all just smoke and mirrors, rook as a verb means to swindle or cheat.
Like Retro Chameleon?

How did he even get the jaguar tooling stuff anyway

Really? Jeez, that seems a bit much. Well I'm sorry if I came across trying to be a cheap b!tch about it, I just figured pokémon games were always big sellers so there'd be more people saving boxes and manuals, making it cheaper etc. Still if anyone has boxes and manuals they don't want/need anymore I'll pay a reasonable price for it or maybe work out a trade.Somtimes more than the games themselves.

How much do people pay for just boxes and manuals?

If anyone has any Pokémon main series boxes from the GB, GBC, and GBA games with the manuals included please let me know! I'll happily pay a couple bucks and shipping. JUST THE BOXES AND MANUALS, I've already got the games.

I've seen, read, and heard ALL about Pac-Man's infamous 2600 port and yeah I'm good. Didn't think they'd make a Ms. Pac-Man after the trauma of the first one. I heard something about a Genesis port of Ms. Pac-man so I thought I'd just use that. I'll check out the 2600 port, too, thanks for the suggestion!

Hey guys, I'm really appreciative about the feedback and recommendations! Thanks honestly, it's nice to talk to people who've played them for rec's instead of a salesman. I'll show my list as soon I can look at every one. I asked the guy I'm buying it from what kind he has, says he'll tell me soon when he can check. When I do finally buy it all I'll show you guys!

I told my aunt about my Atari query, she said she had some old plug and plays from over a decade ago she's still held onto. If she can find them, I'll be able to play and jot down.Gotta get Kaboom (paddle), and Enduro.
Lots of great games, but tastes differ from person to person. If you can still find it at stores (~$50), a FlashBack Portable is a great way to try out games before you plunk down money for a cart, though many of the really popular and/or best games are still really low cost, especially if you look around. In my area, there are several game stores with quite a selection of 2600 games for a buck or two.
Edit: By the way, don't call me "old"; I'm not there yet...
And sorry about the old, I just figured since we're all talking video games we're going by how they age lol. My cousin said my GBA games I was playing were "vintage."

My Atari VCS All-Stars List
1. Pitfall II
2. Demon Attack
3. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
4. Keystone Capers
5. Asteroids
6. Kaboom!
7. Defender
8. Vanguard
9. Frogger
10. Berzerk
Bonus Head-to-Head List
1. Warlords
2. Frogs and Flies
3. Maze Craze
4. Combat
5. Atari Football
You have to have some imagination to play these. But if you're a 21-year-old taking the plunge into the Atari VCS, then it's quite likely you have some.
I definitely do, and thanks for the list, some of these I haven't heard of, I'll be sure to look them up and let you know!

I've seen a few, the Pitfall games have piqued my interest, as well as Yars', Asteroids, Adventure, and so on. I remember playing an Atari plug and play, some of my favorites were a couple ports from arcades like space invaders.Don't forget youtube as a way to preview games. I would imagine almost all the VCS games have had videos made of them by now. At least the worthwhile ones.

I knew one kid in elementary school, around second grade I think, who always wore his calculator watch. I thought it was cool, but we were both dorks.
