I just wish I could remember more of it. I was showing my dad how I could play 5200 games on my 2600. It was playing centipede and I was saying to him "look at those graphics! how is this possible?"
I think it was something to do with the harmony cart. It could happen one day

It says the download is missing, or something like that?
-
....these games suck!
-
I wouldn't have gotten away with something like that without a little 'tough love'

OK, where did you buy this? I can't seem to find it.
I'm pretty sure there's 3 different games for the ds
-
Buy a harmony cart, you won't regret it

mountain king is fun to mess around in "heaven"
and just so you know, raiders of the lost ark requires 2 controllers

Thanks for all the replies...
To be more specific, I raised the topic since I "unintentionally" came across a game that I recently played for a little over an hour, and several 1 million rollovers. After waive 221 or so, an unusual looking board appeared, cleared it, but it was impossible to score any more points afterwards and advance to the next board. This then forced me to purposely end my game by killing off my remaining ships. The game kept going, and did not reset on me.
I am not sure if Demon Attack ends this way or simply resets at the last wave. Either way, that one is a great example of a kill screen in my eyes too. I understand there were other Demon Attack carts issued afterwards that do not reset. Then again, maybe they do at a certain point.
what game was it? i'm guessing defender..

all of the seaquest games, pac-man, ET, all the best
You be trollin? >: o
Why not try ET? It has a reputation but that doesn't mean you won't like it. I happen to think its reputation is largely undeserved.
pac-man too...

sold him a xbox 360 back in march, he posted pics as proof that he received it...still no payment.
so, he stole a fully working xbox 360 from me and refuses to return messages, emails, phone calls, texts, you name it.
also he probably made a new name on here just to avoid sending me my money. very cheap, very cheap. just give a kid with no job his f-ing money already!

One of the best ideas for a homebrew i've seen!
and it's made in basic, even more incredible. good job
one thing i've noticed though is that speed changes as you change angle, not sure if that's fixable though
-
Is it just me, or does the red button say "INTV"??
Also, what would happen if you tried using it today? how did it hook up to a tv? where would you put a game??
-
Before I had a HD chord for my original xbox, I had a cable with both composite and s-video on the end. S-video was 100x better than composite
but on a standard def tv, there was no difference

I've never heard of ateroids before ??

wow i cant believe I didn't think of the obvious answer, thanks

i've had 4 or 5 atari's and none of them have had the same picture. who knows?
-
I wasn't around back then (only 18) but I got my first atari about 2 years ago or more. It came with asteroids, space invaders, q*bert, adventure, and crystal castles.
first game i ever played on it was space invaders. asteroids or adventure are my most played though

the bin doesn't work right on the harmony cart. Walls and trees kill you and you always flash even without a shield. using Stella these problems don't exist. Still a great game though and I had fun beating it on the harmony cart and on Stella.
-
I saw halo posted for free so I tried playing it on the harmony cart, and beat it. Then I read the thread and saw the creators posts and that he had made it so the walls and trees don't kill you, which they did do on the harmony cart. So I played the same rom on Stella and the trees/walls didn't hurt you at all.
Also, after beating it I got stuck in the boss room again but the screen was rolling, none of which happened on Stella.
Anyone else notice these problems? Will an older version of the harmony software fix it?(im on the newest)
thanks
edit: On stella grabbing a shield makes you flash, which I don't think happened on the harmony but I could be wrong.

I had to use my lcd hdtv to play my atari for a while before i found a sdtv on the side of the road. Way better picture and it never hurt my hdtv

Idea for a new game - ZOMBIES
in Atari 2600 Programming
Posted · Edited by flammingcowz
For anyone that plays the newer system and games, you know that zombies is a huge deal right now. The most popular ones are still the Call of Duty zombies and the 360 arcade game "i made a game with zombies". On the new Call of Duty, they also have an arcade style one that you could say is competing with "i made a game with zombies".
Well, those arcade types are what I think would make a good 2600 game.
======THE GAME=====
top down view
You are in the center of the screen and move in all directions as zombies come from all directions towards you. You start off with a simple, single-shot weapon. Face a zombie, shoot it, and move to the next. After a few killings you either automatically get or can pick up another weapon, a little more powerful. Maybe have it shoot the whole time you hold down the button.
Zombies get more plentiful as you play more, and you get more and more weapons. explosive bullets, rapid fire weapons, etc.
