when i looked into selling my kids controller back in 2008 they wernt selling for more than $15, so i kept it
-
Games get hot at times most collectors can tell you that just wait. I remember when any of the command and conquer games on the playstation would sell for 30 a piece. Now I have seen complete copies go for 7 dollars. Just wait after they hype calms down you may well see that game much cheaper. However if it is a collectors game it may still fetch a good price.
heh im still waiting (7 years later) for guardian heroes to drop in price, but it went the other way, now its way more for even a loose copy
-
when i was looking for guardian heroes for saturn i thought why wont this game sell for less than $65 ever, you would think one auction would sell lower than that once, but it never happened in 6 months. so i got one for $66 and guess what? the cd arrived cracked and i got a neg on ebay for asking the idiot why was the cd cracked
i was thinking someone was bidding up the price on all auctions to keep it around $65

i measured the tallest common box i could find
99.9% of the boxes are around 10 1/4 inches high and 5 1/2 inches wide
the tallest box
the maniac pack box is 11 1/4 high and 6 wide - but the games in it are just a re-release of earlier games
i have my shelf set at 11 1/4 inches

Atari Video cube is probably around $30. Both copies look like they are close to the same condition so I can't see a reason based on these pics to do much more then one estimate. Of coarse being an R7 its on the verge of being the kind of game you can name a reasonable price for and wait for someone that really wants it.
Again, just my opinion.
thanks, i was just curious since its the highest rarity cart i own i have to keep it
not a bad profit of $28 tho if i could get $30

$180 for 3do Dino Park Tycoon, but after 5 years i sold it for $380

This is the way of the future for ALL new systems going forward. get used to it or stick with the classics.
thats why i stopped collecting at the GC and Xbox, systems that require internet and hard drives isnt a console anymore but a computer system and i have one of those already that i dont play games on

i like the system alittle bit
i saw the price of the system in magazines and thought umm no thanks way to steep i never really thought about the marketing side of things, i was just happy EA kept making the NHL series for Genesis untill 1998 back then

i also love the Saturn, most played game is Warcraft 2
games i played like crazy were
Captain Quazar
Corpse Killer - beat it with the controller first
Daedalus Encounter
Dragon Lore - took something like 9 years to finish. i took a long break between playing
Escape from Monster Manor
FIFA Soccer
Gex
Lucienne's Quest - the expensive rpg
Guardian War - the cheaper rpg
Incredible Machine
The Horde
Need for Speed - just awesome to play
Off World Interceptor
PO'ed
Return Fire
Road Rash - just awesome to play
Shockwave
Star Control 2
Super Wing Commander
The Life Stage: Virtual House - WHOA! its the king of load times
Twisted
Wicked 18
Wing Commander III - a sci-fi legend and a porn star all in one game
just to name a few
i didnt get a 3DO untill early 1997 when a funcoland store opened in my area. i got ahold of these
a 3DO Goldstar from funcoland for $50 then a New FZ10 system last one on the shelf for $45 5 months later from Media Play, by the end of 1997 i bought 42 3do titles, many buy 1 get 1 free or buy 2 get 1 free sales in stores
these pics are from 2003
7 items in the first pic and Dino park tycoon in the 2nd pic have been sold
also atleast 11 games in the 3rd pic have now have boxes. i was heavy into attachments and the odd controller or 2 thats why those were the first to sell

and the Box i think i bought from someone here but i dont have the system that goes with the box, maybe it will pop up on the list one day

Thanks! I assume the "A1 84 5293576" and "A1 ?? 5234371" units do not have the expansion interface?
correct i only have the one system with the port, the others dont have it

just tested my jag/gen/TG16/nes (dont own a 5200 ) power supplies on my intv2 system and none of them will fit over the post on the system, the hole on the power supplies are to small, but i used one of these and it worked
i checked google for intellivision 2 power supply and this thread was the first one that popped up

must get games depending on the type of game you like, plus some of the ones i like
Captain Quazar
AD&D Slayer (i think its better than Deathkeep)
Cannon Fodder
Daedalus Encounter -- puzzle type
Dragon Lore
Gex
Guardian War -- rpg
Horde, the
Icebreaker
Incredible Machine
Lucienne's Quest -- is a expensive game
Need for Speed
Psychic Detective -- if you dont mind switching cds
Return Fire
Road Rash
Shockwave 1 and 2
i have all the games made for the US market and i just realized ive only played maybe 60 of the 180 games i have for the 3DO ... lol
there is alot of edutainment stuff and alot of FMV (a few are ok like the shooting ones from american laser games)
also if you get the FZ1 unit you will need a sampler CD with a memory manager on it, and if you cant find one i have a memory manager for you to download, so just PM me if you get the 3do
i went crazy collecting for the 3DO probably just because of the original price
if you want you can check out the 3do forums for more info

Damn, after playing around with Cart Commander I just realized it sorts games in alphabetical order. I am fanatical in that I need my games sorted in the order that I bought them. Too bad, looked good.

there is a section called "date aquired" if you write a date in there you can click on that to sort by date
but i dont use that selection so im not sure it works properly

Will the console burn up if i just keep trying different wire combinations till i figure it out? Hate to damage the system.
i have no idea where to find the pinout for that thing, but i hope someone can help you
good luck

Hehe, reminds me of the Gibraltar Trade Center in my area.
For one, this dirt mall costs $2 to even get in, so I hardly ever go (unlike the Taylor Trade Center, which I go to weekly and 9/10 buy something) but the vendors there are straight up hoarders.
Some of the vendors there have had some of the same games and systems for the past 6+ years!
I don't know how they are surviving other than modern game or DVD sales.
$65 for a sega CD? I saw a Sega with CD & 32x + a game for $40 at TTC.
There was also a vendor there with Final Doom in a cracked case and a scratched up disk, wanted $45, also Command & Conquer for $35, which was also in barely acceptable condition.
And as always, when you approach them about their prices, they try to pull that "I bought it for more" or "ebay prices.." crap, when I know full and well I could easily get both games together for $45. I walked away saying "You should lower your prices, you'll get more sales".
heh i live 10 min from the trade center, but i havent been there in about 3 years, ive been curious to know if the booth called Game Over is still there (a black guy ran it), i got some awesome deals from that guy in the past
snatcher for $20 -- sealed lunar and arc the lad for the playstation $40 each, and when i sold them last year i made a profit of $220

I use Cart Commander and modify the lists for anything I want to add.
wow finally someone else who still uses the CC, ive been using it since Brien made the thing

here is my most recent chart from the CC 10-30-09
the only reason im sticking with it is because i dread typing all that into anything else
and no way will i ever use an online website to store all that

ive only used the pm, add pics to your post feature, the chatbox (twice), and that recent status update thingy, all the rest is just fluff to me and probably wont use it, atleast its easy to hide/ignore the new options if you want
also any feature taken from facebook is a no no to me but thats because i hate facebook
i cant talk about the speed of the forum because my computer is so old and it has an old version of winXP that was used on another computer with different parts, i just threw that HD with the OS onto this computer (because the old HD with the OS died) and ive been using it that way for 2 years. so in other words some websites load like a 56k modem ... lol
anyway keep up the good work Albert and anything that makes your job easier running this website im all for it
