  1. I think what this guy did is great... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Desert-Bus-2600-Atari-2600-Homebrew-by-CMS-/141349045403?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item20e90f449b That's my dream. He's got the game, the box, the manual. It's all put together so well. Of course it doesn't HAVE to be the 2600. If I could do the same thing with the 7800 or the NES then I'd seriously consider that.
  2. I know BASIC and the easy boring stuff like html, javascript, etc. And I didn't ask what was easy, I asked what was the easiest to learn out of the classic systems. And out of those available options what is the easiest to get a cartridge made for?
  3. Hi, I'm new to this whole thing and could use some help. I've always wanted to make my own game but I'm not sure where I should focus my efforts or where to start. Is it easier to program a game for the the 2600 or the NES? Would I be better off trying to make something for the 7800? I'd like to make like a physical cartridge for my game when it's all done. How difficult is that? Which console is just a nightmare that I should stay away from? I could really use some advice.
  4. So what do my cousin have? If it wasn't a 2600 and it wasn't a 5200 then what the heck was it ! Any idea what a six switch Vader would be worth ? Man I wish I still had it. It was actually at my grandmothers house until a few years ago when she sold it at a church yard sell !
  5. Hey, is post editing disabled? That sucks.
  6. So my first Atari as a kid was the all black 2600 (the 'Darth Vader') but I could swear it had 6 switches not 4 ! I guess I could be remembering wrong but until I started looking this stuff up if you asked me how many switches my Atari had I would have said 'six' without thinking twice. And my cousin swears she had a wood grain 5200 that looked identical to a 2600 heavy sixer. I remember being at her house and playing something that looked like a heavy sixer but they were always complaining that they couldn't find any games for it like we could for the 2600. So what gives? I guess I could be wrong about the six switch Vader, but what about the wood grain 5200? Was there another version besides the 2600 and 5200? (the number 4800 comes to mind but maybe my brian just made that up, who knows, it was so long ago...)
