  1. Oh man, this is going to kill me!
  2. I've been developing for 17 years across a number of platforms and dozens of languages... but I've never developed for the Jaguar. I did modify some original game code for a 2600 game... heh.
  3. OMG... so awesome... the turd pile isn't a JPG... which means it's part of the font, awesome!!! EDIT: Aw man... the turd piles disappeared.
  4. Daymn... that sucks...
  5. Someone bought $270 bucks worth of Elansar? Or you mean someone bought one on eBay for that price? Well, it's a very good game, so I don't blame them... I'm just glad I got it from the source.
  6. I would buy this... just sayin...

    Heretic

I will just throw this out there... if someone produces it for the Jag, I will buy it!
  8. Which should have a second run ASAP...
  9. Robinson's Requiem is pretty good...
  10. I would pretty much guarantee that the guy probably shrink-wrapped the system himself. Back in the mid 90s when I worked for CompUSA, we routinely would re-shrink-wrap items that were returned if everything was still included. It was really easy to do. We would simply slide it into a back, use a heated press to close it (and cut it), and then use a heat gun to shrink the bag (like you see above). I bought four Jaguar systems, from two separate stores (two from each), and none of them came shrink-wrapped.
  11. OMG, yeah... I truly believed one day I was going to win that contest! Haha...
  12. Hah, I did a quick search thinking that 32 and 64 meant 32 bit and 64 bit, and then I saw what looked like a CoCo... and then I realized... "oohh... yeah, 32k and 64k of memory..." But on the other hand, this came up in eBay when I did a search for "Dragon" and "64"... So many memories...
  13. The respect and admiration of your peers. Free beers at the Beer Barn, and all the dates you can get. EDIT: Oh, and I would buy one of your games!
  14. I know... so uncool. I had nightmares later that night. Do you (USA people) remember how back in the 80s, they had that little thatch-hut shack inside the Toys R' Us? You would grab the little tear-away sheet for the Atari 2600 games and whatever else (Nintendo, etc) and then pay for it at the counter and they would trade the tear-away sheet for the voucher. You would then take that voucher to the shack, and some dude in there would look for the game and hand it to you... and it was like... OMG. I always wondered how that guy fit all those games in the shack. At the time, it felt like it couldn't have been any bigger than say... two port-o-potties next to eachother (not even the handicapped ones), and yet they had stacks and stacks of games for Intellivision, Colecovision, Nintendo, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari XEGM, Master System, and a bunch of other systems... I swear there must be an elevator in those. Anyway, I used to dream that I would (all ninja-like) break into Toys R' Us from the ceiling... I would remove one of the skylights and repel downward to the shack. I would have a field day, tearing open like 50 boxes of Atari 2600 Jungle Hunt... but it always ended the same... the Toys R' Us was surrounded by cops. Sometimes in the dream, I would stay in there as I contemplated my options, but it always ended the same... I never made it out of there without getting pulled out by the cops... Man...
  15. It would be cool... Carl? Comments? Do we need to send you a free CD drive too?
  16. Oh damn!!! I'm going to the beach tomorrow after work and I'm going to gather up as many clams as I can... who knew he took those in trade?!! SWEET!!!
  17. Sorry man, I feel bad rubbing it in. You're being a really good sport about this. I've asked to be on the third run as well because I like to have a back-up of the really rare ones in case I break it. If you miss the third run, and I buy it... I'll sell you the one I get for cost (or just transfer it to you so you just pay Orion). But try... because I want a spare just like I did for Impulse-X.
  18. Well... the system box is decent, but the insert that everything goes into is really pure crap. It was like a thin pressed cardboard insert, and it was falling apart when you bought the system new. The Jag CD used Styrofoam, which was a bit better. Unless you're planning on opening up a video game museum when you retire, or inviting girls into your basement to show off your collection, I would just keep what you've got and focus on the games. The one thing you can be sure of when it comes to buying and selling Jaguar games... they already have a system.
  19. Highlander CD for the 64-bit Atari Jaguar
  20. Ok, how about this... WHY? Why did they make a less good version, and then a better version? Was one released first and the other one second?
  21. I did a search to see if there was anything like this, but nothing specifically that talked about actually making it into a game, just talking about different copies that were out there. So, I was curious... apparently ALL the parts of the film exist to actually make a game, but it doesn't appear as if anyone has actually gone through the process yet. Any chance that Songbird or any other manufacturer might be willing to make this into an official game? Looks like it's almost complete?
  22. Woo Hoo!!!! My copy of Elansar just came in today... well, truth be told, it's been at the post office since Thursday, but today was the soonest I could pick it up. I'm going to play Elansar AND Downfall+ tonight! Psyched!!! You're right, I just looked it up, and there's already a bid on it too. I wonder if maybe someone already had a copy, and then bought from this second batch with the intent to sell the first one? Kinda lame... but I suppose that's capitalism. I'm glad though that he limited the availability to one per person (though I hope to buy a backup copy on round three). It's really lame when people buy out the entire stock, just so that they can sell them off at a mark-up... spoils the hobby. EDIT: I just noticed there is also a totally complete Iron Soldier in box, w/ manual and overlay for $1.99! Crazy...
