  1. PM me in the next 30 minutes, and I'll ship it tonight, for free. PM first, and then post here so I don't have to follow-up and say it's already taken. In the box, new all that jazz...
  2. So what you're saying is... I have a super rare Atari tablet pad that no one has ever heard of? Hahah... I can take a picture of it if anyone wants. It has a pen with it... big ATARI logo on the front of it. It's pretty cool. Lemme see if I can find a picture online so I don't have to unpack that carton. Ah ok... this is it. Looks like it's for the Atari computer (800, 1200, etc...) and not the 2600...
  3. Well, that's what I use the Roland LAPC-1 for! Hahah... I have a super-rare (doesn't mean good), Crystal MIDI daughter card, and also one made by IBM. If I can find them as I'm doing my clean-up... they're yours (free). But I have to find them first.
  4. The best one I remember seeing, was the one that I was part of... not BECAUSE I was part of it, but because: It was as close as possible to the original We had an amazing composer who worked with the team. We had an amazing graphics artist who worked with the team. ALL of this is gone, deleted... no one can find it. I even distinctly remember, myself, deleting the entire SVN repository on my computer because I had kind of stopped working on it, and needed the space... It was written in C++, for DOS, and supported resolutions up to 800x600 SVGA with 256 colors. But... this was ~1999. 5. No, neatly "collapsed" it and tucked it away for future fortune and gain... while I continue to play it now.
  6. For the rest of us that have never seen one: Good luck! Hope you get it fixed! It looks awesome!
  7. *BREAKING* Donald J. Trump signs executive order authorizing the open distribution of ROMs!
  8. I can't wait to play the new Atari VCS!!!!
  9. Yup... that's the one. I too have the box, software, and everything. I even have it mounted to a Sound Blaster 16 ASP CT-1790, non-PnP. I've also got a Yamaha Wave- board as well... the DB-50XG (has better heavy-metal sound samples). I don't use any of them because I've also got the 8-Bit Roland LAPC-1, which is the Sound Canvas, but supports native General Midi and MT-32 and all the other good stuff. I don't know if I'm prepared to sell it yet... I don't use it, but man....
  10. Just crushed my Another World box! Lol... I keep all my games out in a large tupperware container, but I carefully collapse all the boxes, including the white box inserts, and place them stacked with all the other boxes, and put them in a huge box. That allows me to have 200+ Jaguar games (or whatever I have) and put them all into a small box that I can put away for storage. That way, the boxes remain perfect, and I can still play the games!
  11. Hey guys! Quick question... any idea what the Atari 2600 / VCS tablet / pen controller originally came with? I assume it can be used for paint programs... anything else? I seem to have one of them, don't remember where I got it... but I'd like to use it on a couple of games. Thanks!
  12. Ah man... I just found my spare Roland Sound Canvas... the SCB 55, and it's mounted to a Sound Blaster 16 ASP (with the ASP chip)... all with jumpers... no PnP stuff, which means it requires absolutely no drivers to be loaded at start-up. Ugh... what do I do? I haven't used it in almost a decade.
  13. Just noticed I've got an entire, brand new Nintendo Action Set in the box in my closet. Last year I sold a brand new NIB Power Set NES... again... don't know why I even have this stuff.
  14. Gone! Box heading off to Arizona! I also have two other big boxes I need to send out, one to Albert with Ultima stuff, and another HUGE box to another guy. Yeah... exactly. I love having this stuff... but I move, literally, every 3 years... and stuff gets damaged, sometimes goes into storage, and I just can't bring this stuff around with me all the time. My goal / hope is to get rid of half of everything I own! hahah.... I'm quickly becoming minimalist... but still have a lot of stuff. I'm debating blowing out my entire Atari 7800 collection... can't even remember the last time I played the 7800... and the only game I REALLY want to play, Choplifter, is broken.
  15. So, for the EISA slots... they basically double the number of pins. So the connectors are like the MCA Microchannel Architecture from the IBMs. If you look really closely, the connectors on the EISA (can't see in my pictures) have double the number of pins of standard 16-bit ISA cards. When 16-bit cards are inserted, it utilizes it just like it would be a 16-bit ISA slot. But when you put an EISA card into it, it makes use of the split pins and doubles the throughput. I did have an EISA memory card back in the day... and that had twice the number of pins. But yeah, the big card is the processor card. It can be swapped out for other processor cards... this is how Compaq made use of that case, and they'd just change the faceplate and swap the board. There's 16mb already embedded onto the processor card, but you could put upwards of 512mb I think... I just don't have any memory cards to put in there.
  16. Guys, I've got a bunch of stuff, don't want to go through it, but I'm going to throw in a bunch of stuff. Who wants it? I'll tell you that right now, it includes a big bag of RAM chips, also some DOMs (Disk on Modules). It'll also have some cables, USB cables, PATA cables, whatever. I've got a lot of good stuff too, so may throw in some random things too. Anyone wants it, PM me your mailing address. (free) Thanks!
  17. Yep... selling my KayPro... long story short, here's the link: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575378759&campid=5338273189&customid=&icep_item=273440344839&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&toolid=11111 COPY/PASTE from eBay: --------------------------------------- YOU ARE LOOKING AT AN OEM / ORIGINAL KayPro 8088 PC. This was the cream of the crop model from ~1985 that came with all the good stuff. KayPro 8088 Specs / Includes: NEC V20 / Intel Compatible 8088 Processor Switchable 8.77 MHz to 4.77 MHz 1mb memory (640k Base, and 384k for BIOS and / VRAM drive) 5.25" Teac 360k Floppy Drive 20mb Seagate ST-225 RLL Hard Drive Full-sized case BTC 88 Key Keyboard Power Cable DOS 3.2 HOW I GOT IT: So, here's the long story... I bought this on eBay, brand new. It was purchased for a school system (DODIS I think). It's pre-loaded with all of the default KayPro software, the menu system, writing application, math applications, etc. The guy who I bought it from got it along with a lot of a lot of other stuff (unrelated). The KayPro computer never made it into service. When I purchased it, the computer had never been opened, and hadn't been turned on since it was put into storage decades ago. Thankfully, the computer had been stored (best I can tell, and from the original owner) in air conditioned storage. There is no rust, no oxidization. The computer is 100% perfect, as it would have come from the factory. Unfortunately, because it went through the school system, they took the manuals and software disks. So you literally only get what I show above, computer, power cable, keyboard, and box. PERSONAL PROBLEMS: I hate to sell it, I really do... but I move every 3 years, and this is my first move with the computer. I just don't have the life situation that would allow me to set this up and actually use it. I bought this solely because it was EXACTLY like the one I had when I was a kid. Incidentally, after buying another one and cannibalizing it, I got mine to work, and I couldn't bring myself to actually do anything with THIS one (in the auction) because it was brand new. So... I'm selling it. I'm hoping it goes to someone who is going to appreciate it and maybe keep it good condition. Note: This computer is being sold AS NEW, because it is. The only time it was ever turned on, was by the school system to install some software, and then again by me decades later, just to test it and make this video (below). This is the actual computer. PLEASE BE AWARE, you will not be getting my KayPro monitor with it. Also, I put the power cable in a bag so it wouldn't bounce around, replaced the rubber band on the cable connector with a black zip tie. Also, will package in a box, outside of this box, to protect the original box. Also, the case isn't curved, that's just the lense of the camera because I took it at a weird angle. Thanks! 18. I've also got a P2 that I use for everything above that, and then a 386 SX-25 that has a Cyrix DLC-40 processor on it (so like a 486 SX-16 comparable) for everything below that. Really just don't have a use for it... but it was fun messing with. You're right, I just updated it. You can't see from the picture I posted, but there are actually two PCI slots, and 4 EISA slots. One of the EISA and PCI slots are shared (you probably remember how they used to do that). So the graphics card is actually a PCI, and the modem is also a PCI card. The only thing I have in the EISA slots is the Sound Blaster 16. Oddly enough, one of the EISA slots has a little extra connector (with 4 pins). If you look at the slot where the SB-16 is plugged into, you'll see it. It's really weird... not sure what that would be used for. I assume it provides extra power, but don't know any cards that would make use of that?
  19. You really think so? I'm not sure it'll even sell at this price. What do you think you'd sell it at? I mean, I do like it... just don't have the need or room for it.
  20. WE... are thieves and criminals. But for a crime that the Government has neither the resources, or the time to prosecute.
  21. Yeah, it really is a nice machine. I hope I'm not asking too much. I think I paid $100 + another $20 for shipping. It was more for the experience for my daughter, but in the end, it turned out really nice. I just don't want to "give it away." I have a BRAND NEW KAYPRO 8088 that I'm also going to be selling either tonight or tomorrow. I paid $500 for it on eBay to relive my childhood, but then I got my own working, so I don't need it anymore. I don't think I can justify selling it for $500... but I'm thinking $350. I would rather it go to someone who's going to take care of it.
  22. Ok, as long as we all agree, copying ROMs and downloading games is illegal. I'm a BIG fan of facing reality head on, and making informed decisions, rather than trying to psychologically fool myself. John Stamos is totally correct! Shoot... I download ROMs, buy repros, whatever... I mean, I'd do it more if I had the time to play games, but I don't. BUT... I fully acknowledge that what I'm doing is wrong. People have free will, and I won't criticize them for doing the same thing I do... that Boolean is flipped. But yeah... the mental gymnastics is incredibly interesting to me, to say the least.
  23. Getting rid of some stuff, really just don't need or want this stuff anymore. Shipping is costly, I know... but give it a look: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575378759&campid=5338273189&customid=&icep_item=273439023932&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&toolid=11111 Copy/Paste from the eBay auction:
  24. Hahahah ok. Guys, are the two of you telling me that you actually think downloading ROMs and downloading games that you didn't buy, is LEGAL? Just want to get a YES or NO on this... for my own enjoyment in this discussion. I don't want a talk-around... just a simple YES and NO. YES or NO Do you believe downloading old ROMs and games you never paid for, is LEGAL? Look, we all do it to some extent, no judgement here... hahaha.
  25. Yeah, like I was kind of inferring... the DOS ones are early. I mean... when I first played Starflight, THIS is what I looked at day in and day out:
