  1. It gets better, his system is only 9 months old. I asked the same thing you did but was given the bizarre answer that boiled down to..."Derrrrr I dunno. I talked to them, but I dunno" http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=1374959 Personally if I had to guess, there is a side of the tale that is not being told. I fucking stated eveything that was said. It froze up, called up once was told just to unplung everything, including the hard drive and it would be fine. Two days later it gave me the three red rings called them back up gave them the ref. number and the new lady wouldn't give me a reason as to why they wouldn't fix it. All I was told was it wasn't under warranty. I mean Jesus Fucking Chirst are you Bill Gates bitch or something? Anyway not my fucking problem, sold the thing on ebay to someone for $220 bucks.
  2. Ever since my 360 kicked the dust, and MS not willing to fix it, I have been wanting to get a PS3, but have been holding off. Now I am hearing about this new 40gb unit that might be coming out. Also I do have the chance to buy a new 20gb version of the system for $400 from a local store. So questions: 1-Is the 40gb unit coming to North America? 1a-If so, I have heard it won't play PS2 games. Is this true? Or will Sony have updates for games like MS does with the 360? 1b-If it won't play PS2 games at all, is it better if I just get the 20gb version? Thanks!
  3. This defies logic. Why would they not repair a system that you bought less than 9 months ago? The fuck if I know. No longer matters to me. I am done with MS as a whole, once this PC starts going, its out.
  4. Bullshit. The damn core unit that I bought to replace a premium (which got the three rings) gave me the three rings last night. Called MS wonderful customer support and the bitch told me it was going to be $150 to fix. Shouldn't cost anything because I didn't even buy the system 9 months ago. So fuck Xbox/MS. Listed the thing on ebay as broken and another auction for the controllers, will be selling the games soon too. Sticking with the Wii and will be getting a PS3 now. MS extended the 360s warranty to 3 years not long ago for most issues, including the RROD: http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/05/xbox-36...to-three-years/ Got my Premium fixed. No questions asked. Yeah...I told the lady that and she said yes, but I don't "apply" for that. When I asked why, she gave me some BS reason because I called about a month ago about the system freezing up for no reason.

  6. Have been playing for a few days now. Seems good, I just can't get my headset to work with the game, I can hear people, but can't talk. Press the d-pad, hear the 'radio' noise go off, but....nothing. Oh well........................
  7. The only game (that I know of) that needs the hard drive is Crackdown, if you want to do co-op in anyway.
  8. Where is the PDO crashing is coming from? Seen people stating this on a few sites. I have beaten it once already, and am on my second play through and on the 7th stage. No crashes so far.
  9. I truly thought about picking the 120GB HDD at Meijer yesterday, someone had priced them for $99.99. But I am with Hyper, with my game saves/arcade games/movies, I still have just over 10 gigs left (10.1, I think). If it comes down to it, I will delete the game saves from games I rented who knows when.
  10. Just cancel that card, get a new one, and buy the MS points either at retail stores, or from Amazon.com that's a hell of alot safer. 1) I have been, that is how I use Live and buy points. 2) The only way you can buy the maps is with a credit card, seeing people using the Xbox can buy them and they don't use points. 3) Don't be a fucking ass.
  11. Bought the new Halo 2 maps on my 360. Needed a credit card to buy them, and I don't want that info sitting on my system for anyone who plays my system to see. Plus, I really don't really want the card up for myself for I don't buy Arcade games all the time. Thanks!
  12. Nice controller, wouldn't mine getting one of those when I get a PS3. CPUWIZ, I also get the '403 Forbidden' error when I try to get onto his site.
  13. I picked up the game on Wednesday, I am at level 5-3 right now. Put close to 9 hours in it so far. Played it till 3 in the morning yesterday.....
  14. A friend was over and GameStop called his cell telling him that it comes in tomorrow (10th), and if he buys a guide (nintendo or prima) with the game you get 10% off the guide (think they do this with all game guides, not sure).
  15. Hells yeah it is!! Even better when everyone is wasted beyond control...........
  16. Went looking for it today. No one on this side of town had it. Will head to Best Buy and/or GameStop(s) on the other side of town tomorrow.
  17. I thought the downloads were tied to your XBL ID. I was pretty sure you could move your XBL ID to a memory card (and a XBL game if it fit) and take it with you. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure I had XBL games that I transferred over (along with all the other stuff) with my XSata, when my original 360 gave up the ghost. I don't remember having to re-download anything. Nope, they are tied to the system you downloaded off of. As long as you sign into Live (either Silver or Gold, doesn't matter) the full version will run. If you don't sign into Live all you can play is the trial version. When my Premium died, I got a core unit and moved my harddrive over. If I don't sign in, or my net service is down for some reason, I can only play the trial version of games I bought on the old system. Games I have gotten since work fine. Any yeah, to try to get the games moved to the new system does reguire an act of god. Happened with a friend, took 7 calls and close to a month to get anything done. As to the system, the price is to damn high. Not having a HDDVD drive is okay. Adding a HDMI port is nice. Bigger harddrive, nice...I guess. But not putting Wi-Fi in the thing is just stupid. Even the damn DS has Wi-Fi built in.
  18. Yep....that is what I was going to say. The Sonic and Tails ones were pretty damn close to the ones in the pictures. The ones at my BB were on top of the big ass TV (well the TVs that made one big TV) in the video game section. When BB ripped all that out to do the first remodel they sold them for $150-$200 each.
  19. If I remember right: 20GB- €499 60GB- €599
  20. Well...did MS say that the beta would be started when Crackdown came out. Wait.....they didn't. It has been well known for over a week now that the beta wouldn't be up till spring. And if you are a dumb enough person to buy a $60 game for a beta, than you should wait.
  21. You have to reenter it every time. It's a bit of a pain, but it's a good security feature. That way, a compromise to the Opera Web Browser couldn't result in your credit card number getting stolen. Good....that is what I was hoping for. Thanks.
