It's similar to life in general- you wait for your turn, roll the dice, then live or die.

^Yep! Or say you're playing Breath of Fire on SNES or Lunar (PS)...As long as your team isn't weak, You can hit the Auto Battle and go get a fresh cup of coffee or another beer and when you get back Your team will have won the encounter, then you check the stats and heal characters as needed...Repeat. It's all very Zen!

^For certain Turn Based RPGs anyway.
