most of young impulse buying collectors were to young to have experienced atari so they get into it by bying the collection disks or jakks joysticks and are quiclky bored by the primitive graphics and simple gameplay so it was a fad for some but as a hobby it will never go away due to the millions who do have fond atari memories of their childhoods. its just like people who are into volkswagen bettles . they will shell top dollar for ancient cars with low power and no A/C. its very much driven by nostalgia and for the love

Did endings decrease replay value?
Mr Egg replied to 7800Lover's topic in Classic Console Discussion
i agree that a good ending gives you a feeling of triumph and that if the game was good you will play it over and over again. that happened to me with Mafia and Hidden & Dangerous and on console with resident evil; codename veronica but lately i have noticed thas specially for pc games, story and ending are not as important and that the single player portion of the game is just filler for the multiplay capabilities , some like battlefield 1942 dont bother with story at all , they just put a bunch of missions together with no ending -

i really liked the first gta on the ps1. as far as the clones . i really enjoyed Mafia on the PC id IMHO it could have been a true GTA series killer but the constant bugs, no multiplayer, and no mod support quickly earned it a place on the bargain bin . what a shame

i just got the space invaders stick myself. the graphics on Phoenix look diferent from the arcade version and the Qix inQix moves to fast like it was skiping animation framerates . i also would have liked a pause feature . i feel jakks did a better job than radica with the miss pacman. im considering returning this stick -
