miss pacman works perfect for me . i did find some peculiarities which may be misinterpreted as defects by some.i noticed that the stick is eigth way movement in all games but ms pacman requires for way movement . if you are not moving the stick exactly up or down you migth not get a response. the stick has has a long trow and the center is very sensitive . mis pacman is best played with the stick on a firm surface arcade stilewhile all othe games can be played handheld.with those considerations in mind miss pacman is very playable

that is an awsome wall. reminds me of the video game stores in the 80's they use to arrange the video games like that around here

i have the similar problem but only with 2600 games it seem that there is too much clearence in the slot ant the plastic pins on the cartridges mis the slots something similar may be happening in your case perhaps

the space invaders stick is made by radica so its in the tradition of the jakks sticks licensed by namco. i got the mis pacman stick ast nigth at walmart for 18.77 and it rocks . xevious is better on this stick than on the 7800 , it is closer to the arcade version . they even included the prepare to qualify voice in pole postion , it feels solidly built as i can clearly hear springs flexing on the stick action , framerate is excellent , this stick is way beyond the earlier attempts especially the atari stick ( which i do have because it looks cool , if not much else). here some pics

wings 2 is really cool , except for the strafing missions . the music was the cooles. very time period inspired
-
i read the review and im convinced . im hiting the 24hour walmart tonite after work , i get out at 12am
-
ATARI! then again where i am from all videogames , home console or arcades were known as ataris for a long time . only now is the term nintendo catching on when speaking of videogames

the ending for out of this world is disturbing to say the least. ride off into the sunset with your alien friend

i moded my 7800 by puting in an ac adapter port to use conventional ac adapters. i saw this mod as necessary as intend to play this game as long as i can and not have it sit on a shelf gattering dust for the benefit of the occasional visit that notices my collection . some machines are for collecting : sealed box, heavy sixers , prototypes etc. if it was open and has scratches on it it is meant to be played. if the mods are to enhance or prolong the life cylce of these systems it is perfectly fine by me

the taito stick is the space invaders stick is listed at the walmart website here is a link Arcade legends space invaders it looks cool. it does not say when it s going to be released, labeled as out of stock , but price is listed as $24.74. miss pacman is listed for $18.77. has any one played the ms pacman stick ?

here are more pics of my well worn lynx
-
the nes has finger prints of axle grease
-
my lynx is a perfect example of what atari gear will look in a post apocaliptic madmax world. the 2600jr aint too pristine either. thets the result of constant atari gaming . i have played that lynx to the bone . ill post a pic of the backside its worse . .

here is mi little collection

thanks for the detailed explanation . i did want to use the genesis adapter because itst is of better quality . i will keep on using the 8.7volt adapter and keep the genesis adapter as a backup
-
that makes sense. but i also read in this forum that some people use 2600 adapters rated 9v 500ma . i understand now that the adapter migth get damaged. would'nt that be risky for the console as well?
-
when i go garage sale i look for the signs of a family who migth have had kids in the 80's. i for garage sales with other 80's related junk on display like big wheels , pogo balls, and toys from the 80,s. that and outdoor flea markets
-
thanks, that gives me peace of mind . i also read about using a sega genesis adapter . but that is 9 vdc 1.2 amps. i know that excess amperages will definetly pop some capacitors so i have stayed away from that option for now
-
i modified my 7800 hundred to accept standadrd ac adapters . the adapter i am using is rated 8.7 volts 1 amp . its from a bootleg nes all in one system . it seems to work fine but i would like to know from someone who is more electronically inclined if this wont hurt my system in the long run ?
