  1. I did and it is being investigated. A suspension would probably the worst that will happen.

I was wondering how it works if you make a purchase thru ebay and the seller cancels as to whether or not you can still leave feedback after this?

    EDIT:

I have only had it happen once a couple years back I bid and won on a playstation 3, and the next day noticed the money back in my account and I asked the seller what was up and he said that he accidentally dropped it and it broke. I don't remember being able to leave feedback after but I could be mistaken.

  2. I wasn't complaining about newer tech. I think I was actually changing the question to "Pure" instead of "Real"... Everything since the Gamecube has been some form of multimedia hub... I have friends on Xbox Live who, every time I see them on, they're just watching Netflix. At that point, is it really a game system or a Netflix box that can play games?

Well, if the game system didn't have it then instead you wouldn't see them online as they would instead get on a Roku or something instead if they want to watch something. Why does it matter if the game console has streaming services built in. If back in the day there was a combination VHS player/Super Nintendo the VHS part might get used more than the actual playing games by some. Some people although they like video games like movies/shows more and may have used the PS2 to watch movies more often that gaming. I am on youtube more on my Xbox probably than playing video games. There are some games that I really get into and one week or two you might see it show that I'm playing whatever game all the time in the evenings. But once it is beat the rest of the time it is either Sling or youtube until another game comes out that I really want(which could be months).

  3. I doubt you need to check the other(by that I mean the voltage check and tracing the connections I mentioned) it should be fine. The problem is in the ribbon connection as the others mentioned if it comes and goes when pulling or pushing the cable. Can you take pictures(of the end of the ribbon cable and the connector)?

  4. This may help as well you trace it down.

http://www.atarimania.com/documents/Atari%20800XL%20Service%20manual.pdf (page 41 of 41) shows the circuit you need to look at with R95, C94, & C95. You should have 5V on one side of the resistor(R95) which is your +5A, and you should have a lower voltage(with LED working, the 5V minus whatever the voltage is dropping across the resistor depending on the voltage drop of the LED should be around 2V giver or take a bit) on the other side of the resistor. Here is a page showing the matrix for the keyboard http://blog.3b2.sk/igi/post/Tipy-a-triky-013-ATARI-XL-XE-change-keyboard-Tips-tricks.aspx make sure you look over 18(GND) and 24(24 goes to circuit I mentioned above) and trace back to LED.

  5. I mean, you moaners didn't have a problem with NES mini or SNES mini, so what's the problem with Atari VCS? You're just a bunch of moaners.

And no, before you guys trying to defend this Nintendo shit, it is TOTALLY the same.

I'm not defending Nintendo at all. But it isn't the same at all. The NES Classic and SNES Classic are are machines designed to play games of the machines they are named after. The Ataribox is supposed to be a modern system so naming it the Atari VCS wouldn't be the same as the NES Classic or SNES Classic. If Atgames called the Atari Flashback the VCS Classic then that would be the same.

    EDIT:

Honestly though I couldn't care less what they call it.

  6. I would still fix the pin, it is in the pic if you zoom in it is pretty obvious. I agree certainly about cleaning them as well however. With one side of the pin bent back it isn't going to connect and if they are dirty that is much more likely for it not to make contact at all with only 1 side of it touching, so I would definitely suggest fixing, and cleaning.

    EDIT:

Looked again, another one I can see that is bent is the upper right pin in the pic.

  7. I can already see one side of one of them is bent(maybe others but can't tell because the angle of the shot). The bottom left one in the picture one side of it is bent and the half that isn't may not be making contact so try to fix that one and look for others like that.

    EDIT:

You may need to take something like a sewing needle to bend it back right.

  8. I would look closely at the pins in the card edge connector to begin with and see if any may be bent not making contact and also if they are dirty and clean them, then go from there.

    EDIT:

Can you take a pic of the cart port so we can see the pins.
