I made 109 carts for myself. Everything about it is tedious. Especially when you get good at it. When recycling old "bad" boards, I found sometimes it was the board that was actually bad (not the roms). I'd recommend you have one socketed board to test every eprom before you solder it onto a board. That way when you test and it does not work, you can unsolder the eproms and use it on another board. Have fun.

What's wrong with Trevor Mcfur and the Crescent Galaxy? !?!?
rayik replied to Scorponok's topic in Atari Jaguar
Not fun to play -
Burn at the slowest speed you can. I got only coasters until speed was down to 4x. Also, most newer dvd burners won't go any slower than 12x or 16x regardless of what speed setting you set in your burning software. Older dvd drives burn at the slower speeds. Good luk.

Not Club Drive. $79.99 was for Aliens versus Predator (AvP)

I had reserved an initial release copy of AvP at Babbage. Paid $79.99

Genuine, but won't run

From post #15 of this thread: Complete the challenge levels The first one is BBQ, you must complete it under 1 minute 15 seconds. It will give you a code. You can enter the code in the tilte screen, press up or down then enter the code using the num pad.

This is a game I would have bought back when the jaguar was still being sold. It's good.

If there is a pre-order list, please do not add me to it. Thank you.

Whether original or repo, probably uses two standard 2mb 27c160 eproms

Made it all the way through A-Z two times. Second time introduces new enemies. Third time rearranges the enemies. I noticed that while you added A to jump, joypad UP also jumps. It's easy to accidently jump by inadvertently pressing UP. Suggest have jump on button A only and remove it from joypad UP

It's an Arachnoid port. Good game.
-
Thank you for A to jump. Improves playability a lot

Very nice conversion. Good game to chose. Difficult game.

I did not undertake that was the boss shield until reading this. Maybe this should be explained somewhere.

Need Valuation/Rarity for Atari Jaguar Games/CD games please, thanks

You've now advertised the items with your different posts asking for "values." -
Elansar, Philia, Yopaz for Jaguar CD (downloadable version)
rayik replied to Orion_'s topic in Atari Jaguar
Just got around to playing Yopaz. Very enjoyable puzzle game. You put a lot of effort into creating the 40 levels. Like the dead end "traps" on some levels. Last two are deviously tough requiring precise timing. Thank you for making this available for purchase for game players (and not just CIB for collectors). -
Response from seller: I do apologise I made a mistake with and another I had sold with the CD inside thank you for bringing this to my attention I have amended the listing.Regards

Atari 5200 MasterPlay Clone with Paddle Mode *For Sale $62*
rayik replied to atariguy1021's topic in Atari 5200
Good luck selling this. Years ago I put a Masterplay clone I made on ebay asking just the parts and shipping cost. Got no interest. If it's something homemade you probably need to make a box. Do that and you can probably get 4x what you would have wanted don't kow why, but a homemade box increases "value." -
I sent the seller a question asking what is the "CD Special Edition"

I plugged a cart into the cd unit and no change. Graphic showing psu unplugged. Psu is good. I'veput good cd unit in and the psu powers it fine. I'll check around the cd board with a volt meter. Thanks for the suggestions.
-
I was mixed up in what I posted. Cleaning the contacts got rid of the rsod. Separate problem is now it shows graphic for unplugged psu. Cleaned cd power plug which was dirty. No change. However I do hear the cd unit moving when jag is turned on. Same type of sound my good unit makes when turned on. Not sure what to check or look at on the cd board

Thanks for the credit card trick for the cart slot. Took the cart card out and cleaned both ends and the cart slot on cd board with rubbing alcohol. That was not the problem. Still had red screen of death (rsod) Turns out the psu jack on the cd board was dirty. Cleaned it with rubbing alcohol. No more rsod. However the screen shows the graphic that the power cord is not plugged into the cd unit. It is plugged into a good psu. Volt meter shows 10.9 volts at the power jack connection to the cd board. Any suggestions as to where to check voltages on the board? This was an ebay purchase. If the wrong polarity psu had been plugged in what would it have damaged? Thanks for more help.

Create and burn eproms for standard Jaguar 2 chip cartridges
rayik replied to rayik's topic in Atari Jaguar
Edited the original post to add details about .abs and .cof files. Done with this project. This project was started only because of one specific title that could not be run on the skunkboard. I've now added 105 more titles to an already nearly complete collection of original releases. -
I have a Jag CD that does not work. When the CD / Jag are powered on, the drive never spins and there is the red screen of death. I have a 2nd working CD. When that is put in the same Jag unit it powers up fine and works ok.. Figure it's the CD unit and not the combo. I'm not sure if it's the bios, power supply parts or something else. . Looking for suggestions as to what may be the problem. Thank you.
